2022/23 FPL Pre Season: All Clubs Friendlies Fixtures, Updates & Results

Premier League clubs are already planning for the next season with a host of friendlies scheduled to get the team to full tilt before the 2022/23 season begins on August 6th, 2022. In this blog, we’ll list all the confirmed friendlies of premier clubs and the lineups, results, and updates from each of the games as and when it happens.

Note: Players who didn’t take part in the June international fixtures returned to training on the week starting 26th June(Monday), Players who played for their national teams returned to training on the week starting 04th July(Monday). This means the involvement of key players in the initial friendlies will be low.

16 July v Everton , 2-0 Arsenal Win

• A strong lineup from Arteta with highly rated William Saliba starting.
• 33 minutes: Arsenal played a corner deep into the box. Pickford came out to punch it away but miss the ball and collided with Godfrey. As a result, the ball dropped to Jesus – who fired it into the roof of the net to send Arsenal into the lead via Dailymail. 1-0 Arsenal
• 35 minutes: Jesus broken down the middle of pitch and played in Martinelli. However, Martinelli failed to reach the ball and it subsequently rolled to Saka – who took the opportunity with both hands and fired it into the net. 2-0 Arsenal.

• It’s the same side that started the 4-0 win over Chelsea last weekend.
• Early positioning: When Arsenal attack, it is Xhaka that drops more into the left-back role with the inverted Ukrainian coming into midfield via Football.London

A very good pre-season for Villa there weren’t many goals but the team is looking good for their first full season under Gerrard, Bailey, and Archer the best performers from Villa in pre-season, a quiet one for Coutinho who missed a penalty vs Leeds.
