Dimitri Nicolaou 2015/16 FPL Winner

Dimitri incredibly won FPL in his first attempt. He won it comfortably inspite of the fact he had Chris Smalling in GW38 who scored an OG in 90+3.

He also took only one hit throughout the season.

Crabtree, who has been playing the game for eight seasons, improved from 353rd five years ago to take the number one spot in 2016-17. The proud Evertonian secured the title without the services of a single Liverpool player – a decision he didn’t take lightly.

2022/23 FPL Winner – Ali Jahangirov(@FplGunz)

Ali Jahangirov who was very active on FPL Twitter throughout the season had a phenomenal end to the season while playing the game in his own style. He first reached the top in GW25 when he jumped from overall rank 29 to overall rank 4. The first time he reached the number 1 spot was in GW28, after a small slip up he reached the number 1 spot again in GW33, and from then on he never dropped a rank eventually winning FPL in GW38.

Callum Wilson played a major role in Ali’s victory, he had Wilson in GW14 when he returned 19 points in a 4-0 win over Aston Villa(2 goals and 2 assists). Later in the season when Newcastle had a double gameweek(DGW36) Ali brought Wilson in and captained him, this time around Wilson returned 24 points(48 points as a captain). Most of the other managers in the top 10 captained Isak and he returned only 7 points which proved to be a big swing for Ali.

The last bit of drama was in GW38, Both Ali and the number 2 manager, Azzurri had Wilson. Wilson was however benched and Azzuri had Pinnock as his first sub who returned 15 points(Goal, CS, and 3 bonus), had Pinnock come in for Azzuri then he would have won the 2022/23 season of FPL. However, Wilson came in as a sub and got one point, blocking the 15-pointer haul from Pinnock for Azzuri.

@FplGunz eventually won by 5 points in the end:)
