Triple Captain Chip was introduced in FPL only in the year 2015 even though the game began in the 2002/03 season. But since then we have had some memorable Triple Captain hauls. Top 10 FPL Triple Captain Hauls- FPL History
1. Harry Kane- 93 points, GW37(2016/17 Season)
Opponents: Man United(H), Leicester(A)
Harry Kane, the all-time leading Goal scorer for Tottenham tops the list. He scored 31 points in Gameweek 37 of the 2016/17 season vs Manchester United(H), and Leicester(A). In the first game against Leicester, he got 4 goals, 1 assist, and 3 bonus points vs Leicester to get 24 points. In fact, Leicester City are his favorite opponents against who he has 18 goals, and 4 assists from 15 Premier League games. In the second game against United, he got a goal and 7 points.
Fun Fact:
Despite the memorable season, Kane didn’t finish with the Most FPL points in that season. His 29 goals, and 224 FPL points were simply not enough. North London rival Alexis Sanchez finished on top with 264 points courtesy of 24 goals, and 11 assists.
How many managers captained/Triple Captained Kane that week?
He was chosen by 896,000+ managers and was captained by just 26.2% of those owners. In fact, he was only captained by 5.5% of total FPL managers. 245,534 managers used the Triple Captain chip in that week but only 15,194 managers used it on Kane.

2. Kevin De Bruyne- 90 points, GW36(2021/22 season)
Opponents- Newcastle(H), Wolves(A)
De Bruyne started slowly in the first game with just an assist and 6 points. In the second game of the Double Gameweek, he took charge. He unleashed a quickfire hat trick in the first 24 minutes itself- All goals coming from his Left foot. He went on to get 4 goals which made him get 24 points in the second game and a total of 30 FPL points for that week.
How many managers captained/Triple Captained De Bruyne that week?
369,000 managers used their Triple Captain Chip that week. But only 55,000 managers used it on De Bruyne. 186,000 managers Triple Captained Salah who returned with only 3 points(9 points if you Triple Captained him)
Fun Fact-
In the second game vs Wolves, KDB picked up a late yellow card in the 78th minute & also hit the post in the 89th minute. If that didn’t happen De Bruyne would have got a record equaling 5th goal and the All-Time FPL record with 36 FPL points/108 points on Triple Captain in a Gameweek. That would have been the first time we saw 3 digit points for a single player in a Gameweek!

3. Mohammed Salah, 87 points, GW31(2017/18 season)
Opponent- Watford(H)
Yes. It was a single Gameweek! Mo Salah did the unthinkable and scored 29 FPL points from a single fixture vs Watford in the 2017/18 season. He got 4 goals, 1 assist,1 clean sheet point, and 3 bonus points to get the massive haul. To date, this is the Highest FPL score in a Single Gameweek in FPL history.
Stat Attack-
Salah went on to get 32 goals, 12 assists, and 18 bonus points in that season which made him fetch 303 points. Till date, that is the Highest FPL points tally by a player in a single season. No player has crossed more than 300 points in a single season!

4. Matty Cash, 87 points, GW28(2021/22 season)
Opponent- Southampton(H), Leeds(A)
Finally, a defender who makes this list! A defender from Aston Villa making this list- Who would have imagined? Matty Cash got 29 points in the GW28 of the 2021/22 season with the help of 1 goal, 2 assists, and 2 clean sheets vs Southampton and Leeds United.

5. Jean-Philippe Mateta, 87 points, GW34(2023/24 season)
Mateta registered 4 goals, 1 assist across 2 home games vs West Ham and Newcastle to end up with a 29 point haul. Mateta was priced at just 5.1 million thereby becoming a FPL Cult hero after this haul. He was only owned by 4.8% of the Total managers in that Double Gameweek. Mo Salah was a popular Triple Captain that week and he blanked in both the games to end up with 3 points across 2 games.
Not surprisingly, the manager with the most points that week had his team name as “Hakuna Mateta” and also Triple captained him to fetch 216 points in that Gameweek.
6. Raheem Sterling, 84 points, GW36(2021/22 season)
Opponents- Newcastle(H), Wolves(A)
This was the same Gameweek where De Bruyne smashed a 90-point Triple Captaincy haul as seen above! Sterling got 2 goals, and 3 bonus points in the first game vs Newcastle to earn 16 points. In the second fixture, he got 1 goal, and 1 assist to help himself to another 12 points and a total of 28 points. Sterling finished the season with 13 goals, 7 assists, and 163 points before moving to Premier League rivals Chelsea for the 2022/23 season.

Sterling scored a combined 23 points from the last 9 games before this Gameweek.
How many managers owned Sterling during that Gameweek?
Only 2.4% of the total FPL managers owned Sterling for that Gameweek.

7. Mohamed Salah, 84 points, GW26(2021/22 season)
Opponents- Norwich, Leeds
This was a match made up in heaven. Norwich and Leeds were the two of the most defensively vulnerable sides in the league when these games happened. And the Egyptian king didn’t disappoint. Salah scored 10 points in the first game vs Norwich through a goal. In the second game, Salah got 2 goals and an assist to fetch another 18 points. He ended up with a total of 28 points in the Gameweek(84 points if you Triple Captained Salah)
How many managers are captained/Triple Captained Salah during the GW26 haul?
- 1,013,162 FPL managers used the Triple Captain on Salah in that week which is an all-time record. No player has been Triple Captained by more than 1 million managers in a single week.
- Salah was captained by more than 3 million managers. Some managers(797,000+) took a differential route and captained Ronaldo who returned with just 1 point. Fernandes was captained by 415k managers and he returned with 12 points. It was a season-defining moment as Ronaldo was the second most captained player that week.

8. Alexis Sanchez, 81 points, GW37(2016/17 Season)
Opponents- Stoke City(A), Sunderland(H)
This was the same Gameweek where Harry Kane scored the monster 31-point haul on top of this list making it an exciting Gameweek. In the first game, Sanchez scored a goal and assisted one vs Stoke City in a 1-4 win. In the second game of the DGW, he scored both goals in the 2-0 win over Sunderland.
Imagine owning both Kane and Sanchez this week and Triple Captaining Kane for that Gameweek. You would have had 120 FPL points from just 2 players. CRAZY!

9. John Stones, 81 points, GW19(2020/21 season)
Opponents- Crystal Palace, Villa
Stones got a brace in the first game vs Crystal Palace along with a clean sheet. In the second game, City managed a clean sheet. Overall his 2 goals, 2 clean sheets, and 3 bonus points propped him to 27 points for that week. 81 points if you Triple Captained him!

John Stones 27 points in GW19, 2021/21 ranks Joint second for Top Hauls by a defender in FPL History. Cash 29 points leads the list. Stones is tied second with Steve Watson(2003/04 season) and John Arn Riise(2004/05 season) for 27 points in a Gameweek.

10. Antonio, 78 points, GW35(2019/20 season)
Opponent- Norwich City(A)
Antonio is only the second Single Gameweek player to feature in the Top 10 list after Mo Salah! Owned by just 1.4% of managers, Antonio got 4 goals, and 3 bonus points to fetch 26 points in that Gameweek(78 points if you Triple Captained him).
Those were the days Antonio was listed as a Midfielder in FPL but played as an Out of Position Forward. He was classified as a forward in the subsequent seasons.

11. Sergio Aguero, 78 points, GW34(2015/16 season)
Opponents- Chelsea, Newcastle
How could you finish this list without one of the Best Strikers in Premier League history? Aguero surely makes the cut. Aguero scored 4 goals in the GW34 of the 2015/16 season which got 26 FPL points. It included a hat trick vs Chelsea and the solitary goal came vs Newcastle!
