Aston Villa Fixtures

Aston Villa are building a good squad with some exciting new signings along with upcoming young talents. Villa will surely look to finish in the top half of the table and push for a European spot under Gerrard. The villans have a good start to the season and from an FPL perspective have the tough fixtures spread out which enables Villa assets to comfortably rotate well with other FPL assets.

Matty Cash who played all games last season and finished with 147 points still remains at 5.0 Million, Digne too comes in at 5 Million. The attackers are also not highly-priced with Watkins the highest at 7.5 million, Coutinho is 7 million, the same as Ings. Buendia is 6 million whereas 4.5 Million hero from last season is 5.5 Million this time. Overall there are great options from Villa at affordable prices.

Brighton Fixtures(CAPS home/Small away)

Brighton finished 9th in the PL last season and are expected to perform well and push for a European spot. Potter’s side have quite a good run of fixtures to begin the season and could be good FPL options to consider with Lamptey, Undav, Dunk, and Trossard all nicely priced.

Chelsea Fixtures(CAPS home/Small away)

Chelsea have alternating fixture difficulty from GW1 till GW8 which makes things tricky from an FPL perspective. Spurs, Leicester, and West Ham in GW2, GW4 & GW6 aren’t straightforward games, But Chelsea should get a result in two of them at least.

Best Fixture runs for Chelsea from GW1 till GW16:

  • GW9 to GW12: Crystal Palace, Wolves, Aston Villa, Brentford

Worst Fixture runs for Chelsea from GW1 till GW16:

Chelsea doesn’t have a worst run of two or more fixtures till GW16.

Players from the big six teams will come at a higher price and it doesn’t make sense to rotate them with any other team. If you got them then playing them in all games is the ideal way out.

Everton fixtures (CAPS home/Small away)

Everton were deeply involved in a relegation battle but Lampard’s men avoided relegation, hitting form towards to end of the season. But Everton are hampered by FFP issues and are most likely to lose Richarlison who is Spurs bound. So their FPL importance is not high going into the season unless they make some key signings.

Best Fixture runs for Everton from GW1 till GW16:

  • GW2 to GW5: Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Brentford, Leeds
  • GW12 to GW16: Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Leicester, Bournemouth

Worst Fixture runs for Everton from GW1 till GW16:

Fulham fixtures (CAPS home/Small away)

Fulham have a very tough start to the season and will not warrant any attention from FPL managers.

Liverpool fixtures (CAPS home/Small away)

Liverpool players have been priced kindly this season with Alisson dropping in price from last year, TAA and Robbo retaining their prices. Salah has been the only one who has been priced at a premium of 13 Million. We have a plethora of options for our three Liverpool player spots and it is going to be interesting to see how managers pick their three Liverpool players.

Best Fixture runs for Liverpool from GW1 till GW16:

  • GW1 to GW7: Fulham, Palace, Manchester United, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Everton, Wolves (Two promoted teams)
  • GW13 to GW16: Forest, Leeds, Spurs, Southampton(Spurs the only tough fixture)

Tough Fixture runs for Liverpool from GW1 till GW16:

  • GW8 to GW11: Chelsea, Brighton, Arsenal, Man City, West Ham

There is absolutely no point in rotating Liverpool FPL assets. The simple thumb rule is to get three Liverpool players and play them week in and week out.

Man City fixtures (CAPS home/Small away)

Man City is the best team in the premier league at the moment and have won the last two premier league titles. Such a strong team should offer a lot of FPL options, but in reality, due to Pep’s rotation, we don’t have a lot of long-term options from Man City over the past few years. This slightly changed last season with Cancelo making an appearance in 36/38 games, scoring 201 FPL points, and becoming the first non-Liverpool defender to achieve it. KDB too played regularly last season raking up 196 points including a 30-point haul in a double gameweek.

This season too the duo of KDB+Cancelo should play frequently along with new signing Haaland which gives us three solid FPL options who’ll not be rotated much. There are other good options at exciting prices as well this year including Grealish at 7 Million, Mahrez and Foden at 8 Million, and Walker at 5 Million.

Best Fixture runs for Man City from GW1 till GW16:

  • GW1 to GW8: West Ham, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Nottingham, Aston Villa, Spurs, Wolves(Spurs only top-six fixture)
  • GW13 to GW16: Brighton, Leicester, Fulham, Brentford

Tough Fixture runs for Man City from GW1 till GW16:

  • GW8 to GW11: Chelsea, Brighton, Arsenal, Man City, West Ham

There is absolutely no point in rotating Man City FPL assets. Play all the one/two/three Man City players you have in your team week in and week out.

Man United fixtures (CAPS home/Small away)

Man United had a horrific season last time around and that has been reflected in their FPL prices this season. Man United have a mixed run of fixtures with a good few games followed by a few tough ones until GW16. A lot will depend on how much ETH can extract out of his squad and the first few pre-season friendlies will give us an idea of the main players under ETH.

Best Fixture runs for Man United from GW1 till GW16:

  • GW1 to GW5: Brighton, Brentford, Liverpool, Southampton, Leicester(Liverpool the only game against top six)
  • GW14 to GW16: West Ham, Aston Villa, and Fulham

Newcastle United fixtures (CAPS home/Small away)

Last season was a tale of two halves for Newcastle with Eddie Howe & new owners taking the magpies from last place to 11th at the end of the season. This summer they have made some good moves including the signing of Botman, Targett, and Pope. Newcastle surely will be in the FPL mix this season and have a decent start to the season as well.

Best Fixture runs for Newcastle United from GW1 till GW16:

Southampton fixtures (CAPS home/Small away)

There have always been one or two good FPL assets from Saints over the last few seasons with the likes of James Ward Prowse, Tino Livramento, Danny Ings, and Che Adams all offering decent value to managers. This year they have filled some gaps in their team and look good but they have a tough run of fixtures facing three big six teams in the first five weeks. So it is better to wait for a few weeks and then consider saints assets this season in FPL.

Spurs fixtures (CAPS home/Small away)

Spurs did well in the closing stages of the season to take a Champions League spot and have further strengthened the squad during the summer with Perisic, Richarlison, and Bissouma all joining Spurs. Conte’s men have some really good fixtures mixed with games against the top six in the initial few weeks of the season.

  • GW13 to GW16: Newcastle, Bournemouth, Liverpool and Leeds

Tough Fixture runs for Spurs from GW1 till GW16:
