All Premier League Teams Predicted GW17 Lineups
Arsenal
In his pre-match press conference, Mikel Arteta confirmed that William Saliba returned to Arsenal three days before their clash with West Ham, so it’s probably safe to assume he won’t be available. All of the other preexisting injuries remain.
With Jesus out for an amount of time Arteta didn’t specify, Edward Nketiah should be set to lead the line.
Arsenal GW17 Predicted formation:
- 4-3-3

Saka – Nketiah – Martinelli
Arsenal PC/Injury Update:

- No updates on Zinchenko & Tomiyasu
Aston Villa
Fresh off his World Cup win, Emi Martinez won’t be available for selection. His number two Robin Olsen is carrying a knock but he should be fine in time to face Liverpool. Jacob Ramsey, though back in training, is still unavailable.

Aston Villa PC/Injury Update:
Emi Martinez, Ramsey- Ruled out for GW17
Bournemouth
Gary O’Neill mentioned that Kelly was back fit and that he would make a decision about his inclusion closer to the match. With the first match back being such a difficult one, he may not be risked. Neto remains out so Travers should start in goal, Marcus Tavernier is a doubt so could be rested.
Bournemouth GW17 Predicted Formation:
4-3-3
Bournemouth GW17 Predicted lineup:
Mark Travers,
Smith – Mepham -Senesi – Zemura
Lerma – Cook – Billing
Christie – Solanke – Moore

Brighton
Roberto De Zerbi confirmed that after winning the World Cup, Alexis MacAllister will be given two weeks off. He also ruled Danny Welbeck and Adam Webster out of the GW17 fixture and the latter may be out for an extended period. As such, we can expect a few interesting calls.
Brighton GW17 Predicted formation

Brentford GW17 Predicted formation:
3-4-1-2

Zanka – Mee – Pinnock
Roserlev – Norgaard – Janelt -Jensen – Henry
Mbeumo – Toney
Brentford PC/Injury Update:

Chelsea
The main news for Chelsea is that Kepa was pictured in training on Friday so although Potter wasn’t clear on his availability, we can probably assume he’ll start against Bournemouth. Reece James played 60 minutes in a midweek friendly so should also be fine to start. Mateo Kovacic and Hakim Ziyech haven’t yet returned from the World Cup and Ngolo Kante, Wesley, Fofana Ruben Loftus Cheek, and Ben Chilwell remain out.
Chelsea GW17 Predicted formation:
3-4-1-2

- Ziyech, Kovacic not yet back from WC
- Fofana out for GW17. Should be back in couple of weeks
- Loftus Cheek, Chilwell still not in full training
Crystal Palace
There’s no fresh injury news for Palace so we can expect them to be full strength for Fulham.
Crystal Palace GW17 Predicted formation
4-3-3
Crystal Palace GW17 Predicted lineup:
Guaita
Clyne – Tomkins- Andersen – Mitchell
Hughes – Eze – Doucoure
Olise – Edouard – Zaha

Pickford
Paterson – Tarkowski – Holgate – Mykolenko
Gueye -Iwobi – Onana
Gray – Gordon
Maupay
Everton PC/Injury News:
- DCL back in training but likely to miss GW17
- Coady, Townsend, Garner out for GW17
Fulham
The most notable news as far as Fulham are concerned is that Aleksander Mitrovic’s ongoing foot injury is still causing him problems and could keep him out of the Palace game. That being said, he could well start and have his minutes managed if Fulham are in a strong enough position.
Antonee Robinson is also a touch-and-go so if he is out, Ream/Kurzawa could fill in.
Fulham GW17 Predicted formation:
4-2-3-1
Fulham Predicted lineup:
Leno
Tete -Diop – Tosin – Ream
Palhinha – Reed
Willian – Andreas – Wilson
Mitrovic
Fulham PC/Injury News:
Mitrovic “Doubt” for GW17
Leeds United
Jessie Marsh confirmed that a few of his players were suffering from sickness but didn’t specify as to who was struck down. In any case, he said they should be available for Man City so we can expect a full-strength team.
Leeds United GW17 Predicted formation:

Leeds United PC/Injury News:
- Adams, Dallas, Sinisterra out for GW17
- Meslier, Bamford, Rodrigo, Summerville, Klich, Harrison, Cooper- All doubtful for GW17 but expected to be in training
Leicester City
It’s not great for Leicester as far as injuries are concerned. James Justin and Jonny Evans will be out for a while, and James Maddison has a knee issue that could keep him out of GW17. Rogers didn’t explicitly say whether or not he’d make it, but with his injury record, he may not be risked.
Leicester City GW17 Predicted formation:
4-3-3
Leicester City GW17 Predicted lineup:
Ward
Thomas – Amartey – Faes – Castagne
Ndidi – Tielemans – Dewsbury-Hall
Perez – Daka – Barnes
Leicester City PC/Injury News:
- Maddison- Knee problem. Will be assessed before GW17
- Justin, Evans, Pereira, Bertrand out
- Dewsbury Hall back
Liverpool
Virgil Van Dijk missed Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat to Man City in the Carabao cup but we can assume he’ll be back for Aston Villa with Joe Gomez dropping out. The rest of the team should be what we’ve become accustomed to.
Liverpool GW17 Predicted formation
4-3-3
Liverpool GW17 Predicted lineup:
Allison
Alexander-Arnold – Van Dijk – Matip – Robertson
Henderson – Fabinho -Thiago
Salah – Nunez – Oxlade Chamberlain
Liverpool PC/Injury News:
- Diaz(3 months), Jota(Late Jan) ruled out
- Firmino, Milner- Out atleast for 2 weeks
- TAA- Doubtful. “wasn’t part of full session”. To be assessed tomorrow
- Konate- Out for GW17 due to WC
Manchester City
The main news from a City perspective is that Ruben Diaz has picked up a hamstring injury which could rule him out for a month. With City’s array of top quality centre backs, it’s difficult to know which two will start with or without Diaz in there.
Besides that, the team should largely be at full strength. Riyad Mahrez impressed in the League Cup tie against Liverpool so he could well start on the wing.
Manchester City GW17 Predicted formation
4-3-3
Manchester City GW17 Predicted lineup:
Ederson
Walker – Stones – Laporte – Cancelo
Rodri – Bernardo – De Bruyne
Mahrez -Haaland – Foden
Man City PC/Injury Updates:
- Dias out for a month
- Phillips out for GW17
- Alvarez likely to be out due to World Cup finals
Manchester United
It’s widely assumed that Martinez and Varane will both miss the Nottingham Forest fixture, but Ten Hag didn’t rule out their participation. That being said, it’s still unlikely that they start. Jaden Sancho is still unavailable.
Diogo Dalot is a doubt with a hamstring injury and Ten Hag gave no update on his fitness in his press conference so it’s still unclear as to whether Dalot will start but with the congested schedule, he may not be risked.
Manchester United GW17 Predicted formation:
4-2-3-1
Manchester United GW17 Predicted lineup:
De Gea
Wan Bissaka – Lindelof – Maguire – Shaw
Casemiro – Eriksen
Rashford – Bruno – Anthony
Martial
Man United PC/Injury Updates:
- No updates on Dalot. But likely to miss out due to a hamstring injury
- Varane & Martinez to be available “soon”
- Maguire still sick
Newcastle United
It’s as you were before the World Cup break when it comes to injuries for Newcastle. Allan Saint-Maximin is on his way back but probably won’t start and Isak is still out.
Newcastle United GW17 Predicted formation:
4-3-3
Newcastle United GW17 Predicted lineup:
Pope
Trippier – Botman – Schar – Burn
Longstaff – Guimaraes – Willock
Almiron – Wilson – Joelinton
Newcastle United PC/Injury Updates:
- Isak- Ruled out
- ASM getting back to full fitness. Likely sub cameos
Nottingham Forest
Dean Henderson will have to sit this one out as he’s ineligible to face his parent club. Aurier and GibbsWhite are also doubts. The latter’s importance to the side may mean that he is risked but there may be more caution where Aurier is concerned.
Nottingham Forest GW17 Predicted formation:
4-3-3
Nottingham Forest GW17 Predicted lineup:
Hennessey
Williams – Worrall – Boly – Lodi
Freuler – Mangala – Yates
Lingard – Johnson – GibbsWhite
Nottingham Forest PC/Injury Updates:
- Doubtful for GW17- Gibbs White, Aurier, Hennessey
- Henderson, Kouyate, and Niakhate are out for GW17
Southampton
It’s difficult to know how Nathan Jones will line up in his first match in charge of Southampton. What we do know is that Romeo Lavia is a doubt for the game as he went off with a niggle in midweek. Jones did say they’ll take it day by day but given how congested the schedule is he might not be risked.
Southampton GW17 Predicted formation
3-5-2
Southampton GW17 Predicted lineup:
Bazunu
Bella-Kotchap – Caleta Sar – Salisu
WalkerPeters – Maitland Niles – Ward Prowse – Elyounoussi – Perraud
Armstrong – Adams
Southampton PC/Injury Updates:
- Livramento- Ruled out
- Walcott, Lavia- Doubtful
Spurs
Antonio Conte confirmed that Richarlison will be out for 3 to 4 weeks. Romero will also miss the Brentford clash but should be back for GW18. He went on to say that LLORIS will be on the bench but is back in training. In more positive news, Perisic was made available for the trip to Brentford.
Spurs GW17 Predicted formation:
3-4-3
Spurs GW17 Predicted lineup:
Forster
Dier – Sanchez – Davies
Emerson – Bentancur – Hojbjerg – Doherty
Kulusevski – Kane – Son
Spurs PC/Injury Updates:
- Perisic- Available
- Romero out till GW18
- Lloris only to be on bench for GW17
- Richarlison out for 3-4 weeks
West Ham
David Moyes mentioned that Antonio and Scamacca both doubts for the trip to Arsenal. He hinted at Bowen having the ability to play as the lone striker, so if they are unavailable, that could be what he opts for.
West Ham GW17 Predicted formation
4-2-3-1
West Ham GW17 Predicted lineup:
Fabianski
Coufal – Kehrer – Dawson – Emerson
Rice – Soucek
Benrahma – Paqueta – Fornals
Bowen
West Ham PC/Injury Updates:
- Antonio, Scamacca doubtful for GW17
- Cornet ruled out
- Aguerd- To be assessed. Likely to miss GW17
Wolves
On the injury front for Wolves, Jonny and Boubacar Traore missed the league cup match and will be assessed ahead of Everton on Boxing Day. Neto remains out but Jimenez is available after his injury.
Wolves GW17 Predicted formation:
4-3-3
Wolves GW17 Predicted lineup:

Semedo – Kilman – Collins – Bueno
Neves – Moutinho – Nunes
Guedes – Costa – Podence
PC/Injury Updates:
- Neto, Chiquinho, Kalajdzic out
- Costa, Jimenez back
- Jonny, B.Traore in partial training. To be assessed
As is the case for every gameweek, there will definitely be some incorrect calls in here, however, we’ll always do our best job with the news we have.
