1. Lewis Dunk (£4.7m) and Romain Perraud (£4.4m)

Best FPL Budget Defender Rotation from FPL GW17 ~ Dunk and Perraud

This is a slightly risky combination as the clean sheet potential is questionable. Brighton and Southampton have struggled to keep out goals, but playing the right opponent has potential for FPL points here, and you can gain some serious rank with these two differential picks.

This combination is slightly higher in price, but you are getting two defenders from premium teams at a lower price point. I expect both Man Utd and Leicester to keep clean sheets, and Shaw and Castagne can also get returns on the other end of the pitch.

The net investment in both players is just £8.4m, and they can be great budget enablers in your defence. Botman is playing for the best defence in the Premier League right now, and he is an excellent double-up option with Trippier in games where the clean-sheet odds are high.
