Well, Finally FPL is almost here. No more weekends without Premier League and our favourite game FPL. There has been hundreds of drafts over the past weeks but here we are with almost our final drafts. In this article, the architects behind AllAboutFPL- Surya and Srini reveal their FPL GW1 Team & Drafts with justification and reasoning.

FPL GW1 Team Reveal & Strategy- AllAboutFPL
Srini’s FPL GW1 Team Reveal:
Key Notes:
- Strong squad with good first bench option. Not comfortable benching Chilwell in GW1 as Liverpool look vulnerable on the right.
- Going for a 3-5-2 structure due to injuries to Jesus and Nkunku in the mid-priced forwards range. Watkins can tick along nicely but Jota as a punt looks promising and exciting with good pre-season form with 4 goals and 3 assists. Might change that slot to a forward later on- Watkins or Wilson has a good fixture swing from GW5 or Jackson has a good fixture swing from GW3 and so on.
- Bruno/Martinelli/Jota can be downgraded to the performing 6.5 million midfielder(Diaby/Mitoma/Eze) after first few weeks if things don’t work out. The money can be used to upgrade Pedro after GW3.
Alternate plans:
- Jota to Eze/Mitoma and Pedro to Alvarez. This was the initial plan but with KDB fit, Alvarez punt might not last long.
- Stones to a 4.5 DEF(On bench) and starting Chilwell is also an option if we gets leaks that Stones does not start. One million can be used else where.
- Salah looks tempting with the pre-season form(2 goals and 7 assists). Bruno to 4.5 mid, Onana to Johnstone and Jota to Salah is a good option. If not now, there is a way to go with just few transfers later on if Salah starts firing.

Surya’s FPL GW1 Team Reveal:
Key Notes:
- 3-5-2 structure with good first sub in Chilwell. That itself is a benching dilemma with Liverpool looking weak on their right and Chilwell really good attacking on the left wing.
- Watkins looks to be a locked-in pick at the moment coming in at 8.0 million. He is a consistent, fixture-proof player and should tick along despite the mixed bag of fixtures.
- All the Defenders- Chilwell, Stones, Gabriel, and Estupinan are non-boring and exciting options. Capable of an attacking return at any time.
Alternate plans:
- Watkins to Jackson will mean there’s 1.0 Million saved which can be used to upgrade Osula to Joao Pedro to make it a 3-4-3
- Johnstone could be Pickford as Pickford and the new 4.0 Million Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Turner rotate well
