FPL GW32 Tips – Key Questions/Dilemmas Answered

1) Is it worth Wildcarding in FPL GW32?

Is it worth Wildcarding in FPL GW32?

Managers who haven’t played their Wildcard yet still have the option to play it this week. But is it ideal to play the Wildcard in GW32? Let’s find out in the section below!

Using the Wildcard right now depends on two factors – 1) How is your current team? & 2) Do you have the Free Hit available?

There is no yes or no answer here. You have to personally look at your team and see how well set up you are for 32-33. Do you have the required players from Chelsea, i.e., Palmer, Man City, Arsenal, and Liverpool? If you have players from these teams covered in your team, you are most likely well set up right now, and you don’t need to use the Wildcard.

GW34 can still depend on whether you have the Free Hit available. If you have a balanced team right now, save your Wildcard.

But in a scenario where you don’t have the most ideal team. Let’s say you don’t have players like Palmer, Salah, Foden, Son, etc, in your team, and you also don’t have the Free Hit available; you can Wildcard this week and set a balanced team tackling GW34 in the process.

You can use’ Free Transfers’ now if you are only 1-2 players from your ideal team and are set up for GW34. In this case, use the Wildcard in DGW35 to attack the Double in 37

2) Is it worth selling Saka this week?

Is it worth selling Saka this week?

Bukayo Saka missed the GW31 fixture against Luton and was most likely rested because of muscle fatigue. Now, many managers are contemplating whether to hold/sell him this week.

Latest on Saka from Arteta(Friday Morning Press Conference):

“We will know with our training session in a few hours,” Arteta said in his press conference on Friday morning. “We will know whether he is fit or not.”

Asked if there is any concern about Bukayo burning out towards the end of the season, Mikel added: “I’m super positive, I think he’s going to fly and be so decisive.

“Because he’s so strong, how much he wants it when you talk to him and how excited he is about what is coming, he wants to be there. He’s getting better and better and it’s normal to have little niggles. You have kicks and he’s gone through a lot of that in the last two or three years and look at the way he’s performing.”

Suppose he is out for GW32 (depending on the extent of the knock/fatigue). In that case, it’s viable to look at your bench first and see if you have a replacement pick available. If so, just bench Saka this week, and you can play him in GW33 (if he is fit).

If you are Free-Hitting in GW34, you can sell Saka and get a replacement, e.g., Foden, Palmer or even Salah if you have the money. Foden and Palmer have really good fixtures, and you can take advantage of both picks in the short term.

You can argue Saka has slightly trickier fixtures than the above-mentioned players, but do understand if Saka plays this week, there is always a chance he can do well. It’s a high-risk, high-reward strategy that can work well if you are willing to go in the selling Saka direction.

3) Which midfielders do I need to prioritize ahead of FPL GW32?

Which midfielders do I need to prioritize ahead of FPL GW32?

As mentioned in the earlier section, there is a small upside in selling Saka this week, especially if there is a slight chance that he doesn’t feature in GW32 and chase the upside. The highest upside pick is still Foden or Palmer (assuming you don’t have him right now).

Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-min are a mixed bag. They both have one slightly trickier fixture on paper in the next two but have another really strong fixture. It also depends on whether you are playing your Free Hit in 34. If you are, you can get one of Son/Foden/Palmer this week and captain them for the highest upside.

If you don’t have the Free Hit available, then getting in Salah can also work wonders. Man United is probably one of the worst sides when it comes to defence and shots conceded, and Salah has good points potential this week.

There is a small window of GWs 32-33 where you can play a midfield five of Salah, Son, Foden Palmer and Saka (if he is fit). This is still the strongest midfield five and may be worth it despite making certain downgrades elsewhere on the pitch.

4) Who are the best forwards to own in FPL GW32?

Who are the best forwards to own in FPL GW32?

We will start with Alexander Isak, a forward who has been in great form, getting 6 attacking returns in his last 4 games. The Newcastle attacker has a decent set of fixtures against Fulham and Spurs in 32-33, and you can attack with him in this window. A small note here is that he doesn’t have a Double in GW34. If you are not Free-Hitting in GW34, you will have one less Double Gameweek 34 player unless you transfer him out that week.

Darwin Nunez is another excellent option; even against an opposition like Man Utd, he can do well. Nunez has scored 11 goals and 10 assists but has yet to be a big return guy. Most of his hauls are around the 5-6 point mark, and his points ceiling doesn’t appear to be very high.

Even Dominic Solanke is okay to hold this week. He is facing Luton, who are known for conceding goals, and there is good potential in the Solanke pick in GW32. He also has a double in GW34, and Solanke is worth holding until the Double, at the very least.

I really like the trio of Isak, Nunez and Solanke. It lets me get a very strong midfield five of Salah, Son, Foden, Palmer, and Saka. But in all this, the controversial question of no Haaland comes in.

Erling Haaland was surprisingly rested in the GW31 fixture against Aston Villa. With Man City having CL games soon, Haaland can be taken off early or even get a full rest.

He is still a good option. He can score a hat trick against any team, and that’s the risk you take with no Haaland. With his ownership so high, it’s a massive risk to go without him, but I sincerely believe not having him will give my team a better balance.

That will be all from my side for this week! I wish you all the best for FPL Gameweek 32, and I will see you all next week.
