This season the blanks and doubles are fairly predictable which has given us clear chip strategies for the next few gameweeks. In this FPL Chip Strategy blog, let’s look at the best windows to play each of the FPL Chips and then summarize the best chip combinations for the remainder of the season covering all possible scenarios.

2023/24 FPL Chip Strategy Explained
This blog has two parts, with the first one being the ideal gameweeks to play each of the chips. The first part in itself should give you a clear idea to map your own chip strategy based on the chips you have remaining.
But anyways in the second part, We have mentioned the best combinations possible for most of the popular scenarios.
Understanding the Upcoming Double Gameweeks:
- One team will blank in GW34 – Tottenham Hotspur
- Two teams will surely double in GW35 – Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur
- Six teams will double in GW37 – Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Man City, Man United, Newcastle United, Brighton

FPL Chip Strategy – When to use your FPL Chips?
Wildcard
Wildcard is the most crucial chip and there are a few different gameweeks in which you can play the Wildcard chip this season.
DGW35 Wildcard:
GW35 Wildcard scenario is a great option to target DGW37 which will be a double gameweek with six teams doubling. One caveat is that GW35 Wildcard will only offer four gameweeks to benefit from the Wildcard chip.
Six teams will double in GW37 – Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Man City, Man United, Newcastle United, Brighton
Bench Boost
Bench Boost is often played in a double gameweek to maximize the returns from having players on your bench who play twice. Let’s look at the upcoming gameweeks in which you can play the bench boost chip.
Bench Boost GW34: Gameweek 34 will be the biggest double gameweek of the season with seven teams doubling. Bench boost could be played here especially if you’re wildcarding in GW32. However, one problem with Bench Boost 34 is that none of the teams doubling in GW34 will double in GW37. Moreover, Spurs who blank in GW34 will potentially double along with Chelsea in GW35/36
Bench Boost GW37: Gameweek 37 will be the second biggest double gameweek of the season. A wildcard in GW35 will help you plan for GW37 or alternatively, you can wildcard in the GW32-33 period and still plan for a GW37 bench boost(One con is that you’ll have benching headaches & potential injury issues if there’s a big gap between the wildcard and bench boost)
Six teams likely to double in GW37 – Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Man City, Man United, Newcastle United, Brighton
Free Hit
Free Hit GW37:
- Another double gameweek with six teams doubling making it a good option to free hit if you’re using the bench boost in GW34.
- The teams likely to double include Spurs, Man City, Man United, Brighton, Chelsea, and Newcastle
Free Hit Gameweek 38
Triple Captain
Triple Captain GW35:
Both Son and Cold Palmer could be a triple-captain option in DGW35.
Triple Captain GW37:
- Haaland vs Fulham(A), Tottenham(A)
- Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest(A), Brighton(A)
- KDB vs Fulham(A), Tottenham(A)
- Foden vs Fulham(A), Tottenham(A)
- Rashford/Garanacho/Bruno Fernandes vs Arsenal(H), Newcastle(H)

FPL Chip Strategies for the 23/24 Season
- Wildcard 35 and Bench Boost 37 (If only WC and Bench Boost left)
- Wildcard 35 and Free Hit 37 (If only WC and Free Hit left)
- Wildcard 33 and Bench Boost 34/37 (If only WC and Bench Boost left)
- Wildcard 36, Triple Captain 35, and Bench Boost 37 (WC, BB and TC left)
- Free Hit 38, Wildcard 36, Triple Captain 35, and Bench Boost 37 (All chips left)
