What a GW it was! Both Son and Salah blanked. Other big guns like Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland, Bukayo Saka, Ollie Watkins, and Emiliano Martínez didn’t play a minute. Bench Strength and Vice Captaincy was heavily tested for most managers. Patience played a big role this week – it paid off for some (Foden), while ran out for some (Watkins).
Let’s look at the 15 Top scorers of GW31.
Except for Palmer, Foden and Ødegaard, none of the top scorers is owned by more than 10% of managers. So, in a nutshell, template teams suffered as differentials ruled supreme everywhere. Slowly but surely the picture is getting clearer on both sides of the table. The 3rd FPL deadline for the week is here. The Top 3 teams all play away from home this weekend. Hence, planning won’t be easy this week.
So, let’s start with our BUY-HOLD-SELL article for this GW, sponsored by …. Well, nobody. We are poor, but you can help here if you want 😊

FPL Gameweek 32 Transfer Tips: Two Players to BUY
Alexander Isak (£7.8m) – FWD, Newcastle – 22.0% TSB
Since GW27, amongst FWDs, Isak is ranked:
- 1st for FPL points
- 1st for BPS
- 1st for Bonus
- 1st for Shots on Target
- 1st for Big Chances
- 1st for xG
- 1st for xGI
- 1st for Goals Scored
- 1st for Goal Involvements
In Gameweek 32, Isak will be up against Fulham, who currently sit 16th in terms of expected goals conceded (xGC). Notably, Fulham has managed to keep only three clean sheets in their last 15 games. Given this, it’s reasonable to anticipate Isak’s involvement in goal-scoring opportunities during this fixture.

Cole Palmer (£6.0m) – MID, Chelsea – 42.7% TSB
Ever since joining Chelsea, the ex-Manchester City prodigy has been at his brutal best against the promoted sides
- GW8 vs BUR (A) – 12 points
- GW17 vs SHU (H) – 14 points
- GW20 vs LUT (A) – 18 points
- GW30 vs BUR (H) – 15 points
After scoring a hattrick of double-digit hauls courtesy of 6 goals and 1 assist, Palmer faces Sheffield United. SHU defence is ranked:-
- 20th for Clean Sheets
- 20th for Goals Conceded
- 20th for Shots Conceded
- 20th for Shots on Target Conceded
- 19th for Big Chances Conceded
- 19th for NPxGC
- 19th for xCS
- 19th for xG Conceded
- 19th for Shots in Box Conceded
Hence, I recommend you buy Palmer this week.

FPL Gameweek 32 Transfer Tips: Two Players to HOLD
Dominic Solanke (£7.2m) – FWD, Bournemouth – 29.1% TSB
Although Solanke failed to score in the recent Gameweek, prompting some managers to consider dropping him, it’s crucial to recognize his standing as the third highest-scoring forward. Additionally, he had returned points in consecutive games before the Gameweek 31 blank.
Luton on the other hand has the worst xGC in the league in the last
- 12 matches
- 11 matches
- 10 matches
- 9 matches
- 8 matches
- 7 matches
- 6 matches
- 5 matches
- 4 matches
Furthermore, Solanke found the net against Luton in the reverse fixture during Gameweek 28. Therefore, my recommendation is to retain Solanke in your squad.

Son Heung-min (£10.1m) – MID, Spurs – 35.6% TSB
Two blanks in three games may have caused some managers to lose faith in the South Korean player. However, it’s important to note that he still holds the position as the fourth highest-scoring FPL asset, despite having at least two fewer starts compared to the three players ahead of him.
Son is set to face Nottingham Forest at home in the upcoming fixture. Forest has only managed to keep two clean sheets since Gameweek 9, with only Sheffield recording fewer clean sheets in that time frame.
Furthermore, with Richarlison ruled out for Gameweek 32, Son is guaranteed a forward role. Therefore, it would be wise not to rush to judgment based solely on Son’s recent blanks. Holding onto Son is advisable. In fact, some managers might even consider captaining him, especially given that he is the only popular asset playing at home against a relatively weak defense.

FPL Gameweek 32 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL
Pedro Porro (£5.9m) – DEF, Spurs – 18.9% TSB
There was a time when Pedro Porro seemed to have the Midas touch, evident in his significant price rise of £0.9m, the highest among defenders. However, circumstances have shifted in the short to medium term. With the return of players like Son and Maddison, Porro has relinquished his share of set-piece responsibilities. Since Gameweek 20, Porro has only delivered twice, contributing an assist and keeping a clean sheet. In this period, his total of 24 points ranks him 43rd among defenders.
Considering his price point, this represents a luxury that only a few can afford. Additionally, Tottenham Hotspur’s upcoming fixtures don’t appear particularly enticing from a defensive standpoint.
Hence Porro is SELL this week.

Pervis Estupiñán (£4.9m) – DEF, Brighton & Hove Albion – 20.2% TSB
Estupiñán ranks among the top five defenders in ownership within the game. However, his recent performance has been lackluster, with only 10 points earned in the last nine matches. Additionally, his outlook for the near future doesn’t appear promising.
De Zerbi’s team has significantly underperformed compared to their form in the 2022/23 season since December. They’ve managed just one victory in their last five matches and are now slated to face tough opponents like Arsenal and Manchester City in four upcoming fixtures.
Therefore, it’s advisable to strongly consider selling Estupiñán.
