FPL GW13 Scout Picks- Goalkeeper

Kepa– A Top 6 Team in form Goalkeeper at just 4.5 million & 2.7% TSB is too good to avoid. Four back to back clean sheets in the last 4 games(UCL, GW10, GW11 and GW12) should boost Kepa’s confidence. Since GW9(when Kepa became first choice), Kepa has most clean sheets(3), has conceded least goals(1), Best save percentage(94.1%), 4th most saves(16) in the league.

FPL GW13 Scout Picks- Defenders

We have gone with a Double Liverpool defense of Van Dijk and Trent Alexander Arnold. After having a poor start in defense this season, Liverpool have 2 clean sheets from the last 2 games vs Manchester City and West Ham. Thanks to a change in the formation which has improved their defesive stability. Thier GW12 opponent Forest are the worst attacking team in the league since GW9- Last for xG(3.01), Last for big chances(4), Last for Goals scored(1).

Forest have conceded 44 chances from the left flank(3rd most) and 125 crosses from the left flank(2nd most) this season. This should work in favour of Trent Alexander Arnold who operates exactly on that side.

Cancelo is second highest scoring defender in the game with 2 goals, 2 assists, 5 cleansheets from 10 games which has earned him 63 points so far. He has also started all the games in the league so far which makes him a rotation free asset. 3 home games in the next 4 untill GW16 World Cup means he should locked in your teams!

FPL GW13 Scout Picks- Midfielders

Salah has a really good fixture in GW13 v Forest. Despite having a poor start by his standards(3 goals, 4 assists, 56 points from 10 games) he has good underlying numbers- 9 big chances(1st among mids), xG- 4.70(1st among mids). Given the injury situation at Liverpool, He may also play as Forward in 4-2-2-2 formation which should work well for him.

Foden is the second pick among midfielders for GW13. City’s next 4 fixtures(including 3 home games). Foden has 5 goals, 4 assists, 47 points(1st among mids at home) from 5 games at home this season. Foden also likes Brighton as an opposition- He has 5 goals, 1 assist, 49 points from last 4 game vs Brighton averaging 12.25 points/game.

Foden vs Brighton(Last 4 games in PL):

• 2020/21 Home- 1 goal, 11 points
• 2020/21 Away- 1 goal, 10 points
• 2021/22 Away- 2 goals, 1 assist, 18 points
• 2021/22 Home- 1 goal, 10 points

Next up is the Arsenal duo of Saka and Martinelli. Saka has 4 goals, 5 assists, 63 points(2nd highest among mids) from 10 games this season. Saka has been more attacking of late which is discussed in detail here.

Southampton have conceded 42 chances from their right flank which is the 2nd highest in the league. This matchup stat along with Kyle Walker Peters injury makes Martinelli a solid choice for GW13.

Andreas Pereira is the budget pick who enables all the other picks in the squad. He has 3 assists, 1 goal from 11 games this season which are really good numbers for a 4.5 midfielder. Pereira has a good GW13 fixture vs Leeds(A).

FPL GW13 Scout Picks- Forwards

Haaland picks himself considering the form he is(15 goals, 3 assists from 10 games) in despite his first blank in GW11 vs Liverpool. He tops all the metrics like Expected Goals, Big chances, Shots inside the box, Goals, FPL Points and what not. He also takes up the arm band as he tops our FPL GW13 Captaincy Metrics and Analysis.

Mitrovic has 8 goals from 10 games has very good fixtures in the next 2 games- Leeds(A), Everton(H). All three games where he could easily haul. Mitrovic is Second Top for Total Shots(36)- Only behind Haaland and 3rd for Shots on Target(20) this season- Only behind Haaland and Kane this season.
