FPL GW12 Scout Picks- Goalkeeper

Brighton have no clean sheets from the last 5 games, but their underlying numbers defensively has been good this season. Brighton have the 4th best Expected Goals Conceded(xGC) in the league with 10.19. Sanchez is up at home against a Forest side struggling for Goals(3rd worst xG from open play this season) so expect a cleansheet from him in FPL GW12.

FPL GW12 Scout Picks- Defenders

Trippier has become the must own pick in FPL this season as he is the second highest scoring defender with 55 points. Everton are top for chances conceded on the left flank(48) and 3rd worst for crosses conceded from the left flank(104). This is where Tripper operates & he could fancy a haul in GW12. On set pieces and corners is also a added bonus for Trippier which makes him a good Differential Captain option for GW12.

Chilwell is back fully fit and Chelsea have also imporved their defensive game with Kepa back in form getting 3 clean sheets from the last 3 games in all competitions. Chilwell always carries a attacking threat in him and was also rested in GW10 fixture vs Wolves which means he should possibly start in GW12.

Trent Alexander Arnold is back from injury and had a short cameo as a sub in GW11 vs ManCity. He is likely to start straight away in GW12 as it is difficult for Milner to play 2 games in quick succession. Given the injury crisis at Liverpool, TAA could also play at RM in a 4-2-2-2 formation this week. West Ham are joint 3rd for most chances crosses conceded from the Left Flank(104) which bodes well for TAA.

FPL GW12 Scout Picks- Midfielders

Mohammed Salah is well and truly back in form with a hattrick coming on as sub in UCL game and then scoring against City in GW11 helping Liverpool to a 1-0 win. With the change in shape from Klopp, Salah is taking up more central spaces which is good from a FPL point of view. Despite having a poor start by his standards(3 goals, 4 assists, 53 points from 9 games) he has good underlying numbers- 8 big chances(1st among mids), xG- 4.45(1st among mids). Salah also tops our highly successful FPL GW12 Captaincy Metrics and hence takes up the arm band.

Trossard up against Forest at home is the best one week punt to replace Maddison as he is suspended for GW12. With both Arsenal and City blanking in GW12 and then having good fixtures after, Trossard can become Foden/Saka in GW13.

Mason Mount has taken up his game to next level with 2 goals, 2 assists from the last 2 games fetching 27 points in the process. You can read a Detailed analysis on Mason Mount here on how his role has transformed under Potter.

Zaha rounds up the midfield as the final pick. Zaha did look at bit off against Leicester, but if Palace want to get things back on track they would look up to the their talisman who has 4 goals and an assist from 8 games this season. Against Wolves, he has a good record with 4 goals, 2 assists from 11 games.

Harry Kane has not blanked ever since GW1 this season registering 9 goals, and 2 assists from 9 games. He has been having a great season himself but has been overshadowed due to Haaland’s brilliance.

Solanke has 1 goal, 3 assists from the last 2 games and is up against a poor Southampton side at home. Still at just 4.2% TSB, Solanke features in our FPL GW12 Differentials Article where you can have an in-depth analysis on him.

Mitrovic has 7 goals from 9 games has very good fixtures in the next 3 games- Villa(H), Leeds(A), Everton(H). All three games where he could easily haul. Mitrovic is third for Total Shots(36) and Shots on Target(18) this season- Only behind Haaland and Kane this season.
