FPL GW13 Review- Saturday games Notes

  • The very first game of this week was a shocker where Nottm Forest beat Liverpool by 1-0. Nottm Forest created the 2nd highest amount of big chances (5) this week against Liverpool. The 3rd on the list was Liverpool with 4 big chances in the same game. Nottm Forest also topped Liverpool in team xG.
  • Salah played as a striker with Firmino by his side. But he was not threatening at all and had a quiet game. Van Dijk had two easy chances in the six-yard box but missed both of them trying to pass the ball instead of going for the goal.
De Bruyne scored a beautiful goal outside from the box and accumulated the most xA 0.54 for City ~ fpl gw13 review
  • Man City had the highest amount of team xG of 1.78 among all teams this week. Haaland tops the xG list in his squad for 3 weeks in a row. He also had 2 big chances which is the highest among all players this week. There is no doubt now that Haaland is their penalty taker. De Bruyne scored a beautiful goal outside from the box and accumulated the most xA 0.54 for City. He created an easy chance for Mahrez as well who missed it badly.
  • Trossard scoring a goal in a week where so many managers transferred him out for Foden who was benched is the peak FPL troll moment.
  • Crystal Palace looked pretty bad defensively. Lucky for the owners Zaha did not get a red for the foul (elbow). They barely had a chance to break the deadlock against Everton.
Everton scored 3 goals in a game where Gordon and Calvert-Lewin looked impressive. Gordon had the 2nd highest xG of 0.97 among all players. ~ FPL GW13 Review
  • Everton scored 3 goals in a game where Gordon and Calvert-Lewin looked impressive. Gordon had the 2nd highest xG of 0.97 among all players. It seems to be DCL (Calvert-Lewin) slowly finding his old form now. Everton got some good fixtures coming up and he could be on the watchlist for this run. Toney and Jesus are on 4th yellow and Mitrovic got some tough fixtures from GW15.
  • We had a cracking ending to the Chelsea v Man Utd game where both the goals came very late. Jorginho scored an ice-cold penalty as usual. Kepa continues to play brilliantly but couldn’t keep the cleansheet this time. Although Mount had the highest xA 0.29 for his team he did not look really dangerous throughout the match. Nothing really to take away other than he played another 90 mins so likely due a rest soon.
  • Rashford had one big chance and accumulated the highest xG of 0.31 for his team. He played centrally as the Striker. Antony had the highest xA for them.

FPL GW13 Review- Sunday games Notes

  • Aston Villa bounced back strongly by defeating Brentford 4-0 this week. They had created the highest number of big chances (6) in a game this week. Watkins alone had 4 of them which makes him the topper on the list among all players. Ings had the highest xG of 1.15 this week. Bailey had a very good game also where he had the highest xA of 0.47 for his team.
  • Toney had the most touches in the opp final third and created a big chance which Mbuemo missed. However, Brentford did not have a good game overall.
  • Fulham and Leeds had a total of 8 big chances distributed between them. Fulham created the joint 2nd best most big chances (5) this week against Leeds. Andreas Pereira had the highest xG of 0.49 for them who had another cracking game after showing a brilliant performance last week.
  • Arsenal started the game by showing a lot of promises but eventually could not show the end product. After the first 20 mins, Southampton fought back hard. Jesus had two big chances but could not convert them. Saka was very wide and struggled to get inside the box. He was shown a yellow for diving. However, Ben White continues to play very good attacking football and finally got the assist this week.
  • Ward is the hero again this week for Leicester. They conceded an xG of 1.79 against Wolves but somehow managed to keep the cleansheet. Vardy had the highest xG for the foxes after coming on as a sub.
  • Kane had the highest xG of 0.62 and 2nd highest xA of 0.29 for his team in a game where they were beaten at their home ground by Newcastle. Almiron finds his name on the scoresheet yet again. Lloris made a howler and Wilson capitalized it very well. Wilson had the highest xG (0.61) for Newcastle.
  • Trippier had another superb game though the points do not represent in his favor. He had the most touches and passes of any Newcastle player, blocked 3 shots, won 7/7 ground duels, 3/5 aerial duels (although one of the lost ones was Kane’s goal), and even had an off the line clearance. He’s the main in that Newcastle squad.
