We have already discussed premium mid-fielders and mid-priced midfielders earlier but here is an article on the best FPL budget midfielders ( £5.0 – £6.5 Mil ) to look for in this season. They can offer great value if you choose them carefully and who is better than ALLABOUTFPL to recommend the best to you? So let’s begin the article.

- Raphinha (£6.5 Mil)
- James Ward-Prowse (£6.5 Mil)
- Traore (£6.0 Mil)
- Saka (£6.5 Mil)
- Soucek (£6.0 Mil)
Budget FPL Midfielders stats comparison from the 2020/21 FPL Season
1. Stuart Dallas (£5.5 Mil)
Price: £5.5 Mil Appearances: 38(0) ⚽️ 8 goals 🅰️ 3 assists Per 90: 👟 1.27 shots 🎨0.69 key passes
Dallas GW1-8 Fixtures
Dallas, who played the entire last season as a defender, will be a midfielder for Leeds this season and that can improve his attacking returns. He played consistently well last season where he had an average of 0.21 Goals/90 as a defender which was quite interesting. He didn’t start the season nicely where he scored just 1 goal and didn’t get any assist for the first eight games. However, towards the end of the season, he scored 4 goals in his last 14 matches. If you talk of stats, his xG+A/90 was 0.17 with 1.27 Sh/90. Another positive for him was he played all the games which means he can be a great set-and-forget midfielder.

2. Jack Harrison (£6.0 Mil)
Price: £6.0 Mil Appearances: 25(2) ⚽️ 6 goals 🅰️ 12 assists Per 90: 👟 1.42 shots 🎨1.86 key passes
Harrison GW 1-8 Fixtures
Harrison was the best midfielder last season with a price tag of £6.0 or below. He had a goal involvement every 158th minute. He also had better stats than Dallas with just £0.5 more money and is definitely a more attacking pick. He had a goal involvement percentage of 48.1% and created 10 big chances. He had 1.44 Sh/90 with xG/90 of 0.20 and xA/90 of 0.24. Have a look at his heat map below.

3. Raphinha (£6.5 Mil)
Price: £6.5 Mil Appearances: 38 ⚽️ 8 goals 🅰️ 7 assists Per 90: 👟 2.55 shots 🎨2.44 key passes
Raphinha GW1-8 Fixtures
Raphinha had an injury-hit, yet fantastic debut season and he surely impressed us all. He will be taking set-pieces for Leeds this season and will surely be benefitted from that. He created the most number of chances per 90 in the Leeds squad with 2.4 chances per 90. He was in 4th position of most number of assists last season. He is surely the best budget midfielder according to me, with a goal involvement percent of 56.2 and 13 big created chances.

4. James Ward-Prowse (£6.5)
Price: £12 Appearances: 38 ⚽️ 8 goals 🅰️ 7 assists Per 90: 👟 1.13 shots 🎨1.58 key passes
James Ward Prowse Fixtures GW1-8:
The Southampton midfielder played the joint second-most minutes last season of players in the list today. He had 24 attempted shots on target last season where he scored 8 of them. His xG+A/90 was 0.25 with 1.58 created chances per game. If that was not enough, he created a chance every 57 minutes, the best among the selected list of players in the 5.0 to 5.5 Mil price bracket. He also had a really busy heat map. You can have a look at it below.

5. Bertrand Traore (£6.0 Mil)
Price: £6.0 Mil Appearances: 36(7) ⚽️ 7 goals 🅰️ 7 assists Per 90: 👟 2.47 shots 🎨1.35 key passes
Bertrand Traore Fixtures GW1-8
Traore is mostly an attacking midfielder who showed his capabilities last season and will look forward to building on it. He had 2.44 Sh/90 and had 46 goal attempts in the box which shows his capability to go up-front and score. He has a goal involvement percent of 62.5%, which is the most from the available players’ bucket. He had an average xG+A/90 of 0.41 which is also great. Last but surely not the least, his first 3 fixtures will surely tempt you to go for him.
6. Bukayo Saka (£6.5 Mil)
Price: £6.5 Mil Appearances: 32(2) ⚽️ 5 goals 🅰️ 5 assists Per 90: 👟 2.14 shots 🎨1.34 key passes
Bukayo Saka Fixtures GW1-8:
Saka enjoyed a good season registering 10 goal contributions(5G+5A). What is impressive of Saka is that he is very lively and his presence in the box says the same. He averages 1.62 shots in the box per 90 mins from 5.38 touches in the penalty box per 90. Arsenal enjoy a tough start to the season with Chelsea and Man City in GW2 and GW3 but their fixtures turn from GW4 and Saka could be a very good option to consider.
FPL Mid-Priced Strikers (£7.0 – £8.5 Mil) Analysis For 21/22 Season
7. Tomas Soucek (£6.0 Mil)
Price: £6.0 Mil Appearances: 38(0) ⚽️ 10 goals 🅰️ 2 assists Per 90: 👟 1.68 shots 🎨0.47 key passes
Tomas Soucek Fixtures GW1-8
The West Ham midfielder was on fire last season with his performance and gained loads of fans in his second season. However, he doesn’t offer much creative value as he had just 0.06 xA/90 last season with two assists. He is the target man for set-pieces for his team, his 29 header attempts, and three-headed goals were highest amongst FPL Midfielders last season. Talking of stats, let’s have a look at some of his stats last season. He had 1.68 Sh/90 with 14 created chances. He likes to play long balls and the weak link is his passing.

3. Emiliano Buendia (£6.5 Mil)
Buendia had a great season in the championship winning the championships with Norwich and enjoying a great season individually which made him the best player in the championship last season. Buendia registered 15 goals and registered 16 assists last season with 122 chances created during the course of the season. Having now moved to Villa who are definitely a better attacking side than Norwich the stocks have further gone up as an FPL asset for Buendia. He’s expected to pair up with Matty Cash on the Right Side of the Villa attack. Buendia should be an exciting FPL asset irrespective of whether Grealish stays or leaves the club this summer.
