FPL GW31+ Captain Picks to Consider Ahead of Deadline

It’s been a good set of games after the much-anticipated restart and true football is back (Not looking at you Arsenal). Teams are trying everything they can within their strategic and fitness capability to win games and results have been interesting. The players have obviously warmed up and there is a good idea of how the rotations will look like. There were a few hits and also a few flops and let’s see how we can improve our teams and our FPL GW31+ captain pick ahead of the deadline coming up in less than 12 hours.

FPL GW31+ Captain Picks:

1. Bruno Fernandes(8.6) vs Sheffield United, TSB: 19.1%

United’s Portuguese Magician has lit up the league and the team, scoring 3 and assisting 3 in 6 games and also has a lot of bonus points to his name. He also registered 5 shots with 3 on target against Spurs.

Sheffield United will miss United Loanee Dean Henderson and John Egan for the match and United will look to capitalize on this to get the 3 points.

2. Richarlison(8.3) vs Norwich, TSB: 10.8%

Ever since Don Carlo went to Merseyside, Everton’s record signing has looked great and has been clinical alongside Calvert Lewin. He has 10 goals and 5 assists to his name and plays far up the pitch.

Everton did look good against Liverpool and will certainly look to take advantage against defensively weak Norwich side. He is already on par to get his highest points tally in FPl this season and will be one to count on.

Richarlison walks into the free hit team courtesy Everton playing Norwich City. Norwich have conceded the most goals in the league(55) and have the third-worst xGA(55.31) in the league. Listed as a midfielder in FPL, starting as a second-striker under Ancelotti, results have started to kick-in. He has led the team admirably in attack with most goal contributions(15).

3.Raul Jimenez(8.1) vs Bournemouth(H), TSB: 31.6%

This man oozes consistency and he was a worthwhile punt against west ham last gameweek. He showed us that he will be involved one way or the other in attack and Europe Hopefuls Wolves will look at their Mexican Talisman to deliver.

He has 14 goals and 6 assists and just 1 point shy of 2^nd place Auba with 155 points. He has been the one to trust and Bournemouth haven’t really impressed all season. Expect a few goals from Wolves and Jimenez’s name in the cards.

Key stats:

• Bournemouth last kept a clean sheet in GW17 and that’s their only cleansheet in GW11
• Jimenez scored against Bournemouth in the reverse fixture in GW13.

4. Sadio Mane(12.5) vs Crystal Palace(H) TSB: 24.5%

Liverpool assets are liable to substitution but Klopp will definitely put trust in his star player to deliver a win against a good looking crystal palace side.

Mane has an impressive 14 goals and 9 assists in FPL and with an expected goal ratio of 0.51, he can be trusted to involved in the ball being in Palace’s net.

5.Kevin De Bruyne(10.6) vs Chelsea, TSB: 51.2%

By far the season’s best player is susceptible to rotation but it is for sure that if he play’s he’ll deliver, and such has been the consistency of this man

With a whopping 9 goals and 19 assists from midfield, this man is easily the highest points getter this season and will be clinical to get all 3 points against his former team Chelsea. With an amazing expected Assist ratio of 0.61 per 90, he shall be the one to watch out for against Chelsea. He would be eager to get more than a goal(which he got in the reverse fixture).
