ALLABOUTFPL Top Five GW 6 Captain picks:

Jack Grealish vs Leeds United (H) TSB 22.4%

FPL GW 6 Captain pick - Jack Grealish
Villa’s Talisman

Aston Villa have surprised everyone with their start to the season after barely avoiding relegation Last season. Their attack has improved massively with the additions of Ross Barkley and Ollie Watkins to support this star player Grealish and this was evident in the game against Liverpool when they put 7 past them. Grealish ran the show with 2 goals and 3 Assists in that match.

He has 3 goals and 3 Assists in 4 games for Villa and this included teams like Sheffield, Leicester, and Liverpool. There is a lot of promise in their footballing display and facing a team like Leeds who have conceded the most shots should be a promising show.

Grealish in numbers:

  • 14 key passes in four games. Third highest amongst midfielders so far this season.
  • 90 successful final third passes only behind Robbo and salah who have 102 and 96 final third passes respectively.
  • 38 touches in the penalty box (Second highest in the league)

Mo Salah vs Sheffield (H) TSB 47.2%

FPL GW 6 Captain pick - Mo Salah
When in doubt captain King Mo!

Liverpool are blighted with injuries and with Virgil Van Dijk and Allison out for the team with a potential Thiago injury too, things are looking bleak in the defensive end but thanks to Salah and Co., the attack is looking promising. He has had a good start to the season and has been extremely involved in attacks and has been mature.

Mo Salah has scored 6 and assisted 1 more in 5 games for Liverpool and is the second-highest scoring midfielder in the game. He has the most shots of any player in the league and his home record is absolutely amazing. He should really come good against Sheffield and by hands down is the best captain pick for FPL GW 6.

Salah in Numbers:

  • 50 goals and twenty assists in 58 home games averaging a goal or assist every 71 minutes.
  • Most shots on goal so far this season (25)
  • Most shots inside the box (19)
  • 15 key passes so far this season (Second Highest in the league so far this season)

Raheem Sterling vs West Ham (A) TSB 7.1%

FPL GW 6 Captain pick - Raheem Sterling
Raz could be a huge differntial captain choice this week

This season is really interesting. We’re seeing the likes of Sterling as a differential option and it’s a really good chance to use the opportunity of taking a bet on captaining him. With the likes of Sergio Aguero back and potentially KDB who was seen training with the squad, Sterling can go back to the wings and can cause maximum damage from his natural position.

He’s had 2 goals and 1 assist in 4 games for City, which for any other player is a decent number, but we know what Sterling is capable of and he can score more. West Ham conceded 3 early goals from Spurs and their defense has been exposed by them and City can take their chances and it’s high time they capitalize and go up in the table. They will look to their winger to do the needful for them and let us hope he does that.

Sterling in numbers:

  • Favorite opponents- 6 goals and 6 assists in 7 starts against West Ham
  • 36 penalty box touches this season- 3rd highest in the league.
  • 2nd highest scoring FPL player since ‘Project Restart’ last season with 113 points, only behind Kane(114 points)

Kane vs Burnley (A) TSB 35.8%

FPL GW 6 Captain pick - Harry Kane
Captain Kane?

This man has been on fire since the season began. He has been an all-rounder, at his creative best and is poaching goals with great accuracy. Kane has already scored 5 goals and assisted another 7 for the team already, combining brilliantly with Son.

Kane and Son continued their dream start to the season with the spurs duo scoring and assisting all of their three goals amongst themselves against West Ham in GW5. Kane and Son have so far scored 12 out of the 15 goals for Spurs. Another crazy stat is that Kane has assisted six of the seven goals that Son has scored so far.

Kane is the highest-scoring player in the game with 60 points in five games and tops the assisting chart with seven assists and is also not far off the scoring chart with five goals. Spurs play Burnley who have not had a good start to the season. Kane for many is already a set and forget captain choice and should be very reliable going through the season.

Kane and Son Stats this season:
Goals: 5 | 7
Assists: 7 | 2
Shots on goal: 25 | 12
Shots on target: 13 | 9
Shots inside the box: 16 | 9
Big Chances: 6 | 7
xG: 4.33 | 3.61
Big chances created:7 | 3
xA:3.79 | 2.19
Key Passes:13 | 16
Successful Final third passes: 45 | 48

Fully expect the Kane and Son show to continue against Burnley who are favorite opponents for them. Kane recorded a brace and an assist, last time he played Burnley. Son scored that wonder goal and picked up an assist as well last time. More of the same could happen this time around as well!

Considering his explosiveness we would firmly go Kane over Son for the captaincy this week. Although Son is also a solid option.

Jimenez (H) vs Newcastle TSB 20.1%

FPL GW 6 Captain pick - Raul Jimenez
Raul is being transfered out in numbers but could be a great option!

Jimenez scored the much necessary goal for Wolves to win it for them and this man has proved his reliability. The goals from Wolves have dried up but their team after the transfer window is taking shape and is bound to improve from now and we should expect them to get back to their old form.

Jimenez has scored 3 goals and almost certainly all the goals From Wolves will involve him. Newcastle have been very poor defensively and their team has had a bad shape. They conceded 3 late goals against United and were caught on the counters which is exactly how Wolves like to play and we should expect the goals to start coming from them. Jimenez will be the one to bank on.

Stat Attack:

  • Newcastle have conceded the most shots on goal(86), second-most shots inside the box(52), most shots on target(38) so far this season.
  • They have conceded 9 goals from an xGC of 10.18
