FPL Players to watch out from relegation fighting teams | FPL season Restart

FPL midfielders- Grealish

The league is almost won. But the European slots, the relegation battle is not yet over. Most of the premium picks like De Bruyne, Aguero will be on everyone’s team. But to stand out from the rest, your choice of players from the bottom teams is needed. Teams fighting relegation will be playing with more intent to get the results and stay in the league. They will be giving everything on the pitch and will possibly field the best eleven without much rotation to win games. So in this blog, we will guide you through players from relegation-threatened teams from an FPL point of view.

FPL Players to watch out for ahead of FPL GW30+

1. Jack Grealish, Price: £6.4, TSB: 21.3%

Grealish FPL GW30+
Grealish has a double gameweek on GW30+

Jake Grealish has been the one of the few bright sparks for Villa this season. He has led them quite remarkably from the front as they still have a chance to stay in the top-tier. He looks like a must-own for GW30+ as Aston Villa have a Double Gameweek for GW30+ facing Sheffield and Chelsea. Grealish’s burden will also be reduced, Villa’s performance will be improved further by the return of Mcginn(5.4), who is also another decent option.

Jack Grealish in numbers:

1. Fourth most chances created among midfielders this season(69).
2. Seven goals and seven assists this season.
3. Nailed to start both the games in DGW

If you are directly looking for an ultra-differential from Villa for FPL GW30+, Samatta(5.8) is a proper-differential with just 0.4% ownership and with Wesley injured.

2. Michail Antonio, Price: 6.9, TSB:0.8%

Michail Antonio FPL players GW30+
Antonio listed as a mid-fielder is likely to play as a striker.

Antonio had a horrible injury prone season till now. Just when Antonio was fully fit and getting valuable minutes, this break had come. West Ham have a difficult run-in of fixtures(Wolves, Tottenham, Chelsea). But the Hammers have always gone attack for attack this season. Antonio would be keen make a point.

Michail Antonio in numbers

  • Played as a striker alongside Haller before the break.
  • Goal, Assist and 11 points in GW28 vs Southampton playing as a second-striker
  • Goal vs QPR in West Ham’s 4-1 friendly win over QPR on Thursday.

FPL Players to keep an eye on from West Ham

Keep an eye on Yarmolenko(5.2) who is returning from injury and Bowen(6.5) who got his successive starts just before the break.

3. Allan Saint Maximin, Price: 5.4, TSB: 0.6%

Saint- Maximin FPL GW30+
Saint Maximin should inspire Newcastle to safety.

Yes! Newcastle are not yet safe as they are just eight points off the relegation zone. Newcastle would need inspirational performances from Saint Maximin to stay in the league. With just owned by 0.6%, he is certainly worth more than a shout with exciting fixtures coming up for them. He has fond memories of playing Sheffield United getting a goal against them in GW15. Like Grealish for Villa, any attacking return for the team should possibly go through Saint-Maximin.

Saint-Maximin in numbers:

  • Goal against Sheffield in the reverse fixture
  • Exciting fixtures – Sheffield, Villa, West Ham, Bournemouth
  • 10 points in GW29– The last game before the pandemic

FPL Players to keep an eye on from Newcastle

Newcastle have the most favorable fixtures in the bottom half. Fernandez(4.6), Lascelles(4.3) are other defensive options from Newcastle who could get a clean-sheet or two in the next four games.

4. Troy Deeney, Price: 6.2, TSB: 2.0%

Deeney FPL Players gw30+
Deeney should lead Watford to safety!

Troy Deeney has returned to full-fledged training after initially refusing to come out to play. He is expected to start the friendly against Brentford on Saturday. The Hornets captain is expected to take full responsibility with Deulofeu(6.1) ruled to injury. Sarr(6.4) seems to be a great option under Pearson’s attacking tactics. It seems long ago since Deeney and Sarr wrecked havoc against Liverpool at the Vicarage Road. But Watford have played only one competitive game in between and would love to continue their league form. Deeney also loves to make headlines against Leicester City. Maybe again in GW30+?

The numbers :

  • Deeney- 3.9 points per game, Sarr- 4.1 points per game this season.
  • Deeney and Sarr combined for 30 points against Liverpool in GW28.
  • Sarr- First player to be involved in 3+ goals against Liverpool in PL since 2017.
  • Sarr- 4 goals and 3 assists in last 8 starts for Watford.

5. Teemu Pukki, Price: 6.5, TSB: 12.9%

FPL Players to keep an eye - Pukki
The beginning of another “Pukki Party”?

Norwich are almost down and out. The only chance that they could stay up in the league is by making most of the next few games. The ‘Pukki Party‘ is certainly needed if the Canaries are playing in PL next season. Todd Cantwell(4.7) is certainly a very good choice for the fifth midfielder.

The numbers:

  • Pukki – 11 goals and 3 assists, Cantwell- 6 goals and 2 assists
  • Pukki scored against Southampton in the reverse fixture in GW15
  • No midfielder less than £5.5 have scored more points than Cantwell this season(100)
