FPL Gameweek 19 Transfer Tips: Two Players to BUY

Dominic Solanke (£6.9m) – FWD, Bournemouth – 24.5% TSB

FPL Gameweek 19 Transfer Tips: Two Players to BUY ~ Dominic Solanke (£6.9m)

Solanke scored a hat trick and a massive 17 points against Forest. He had also scored in the cancelled fixture against Luton, and also against Man Utd in GW16. So the hat trick was not an isolated incident. In fact, he has been very consistent for a prolonged period. Solanke is ranked 1st for goals in the

  • Last 10 GWs
  • Last 9 GWs
  • Last 8 GWs
  • Last 7 GWs
  • Last 6 GWs
  • Last 5 GWs
  • Last 4 GWs
  • Last 3 GWs
  • Last 2 GWs
  • Last 1 GW

In GW19, Solanke faces a Fulham defence which has kept just 2 Clean Sheets in the last 12 games. In fact they have conceded the highest number of goals in the last 2 GWs.

Solanke against Fulham at home might just be the present Santa sent your way.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8.3m) – DEF, Liverpool – 20.5% TSB

FPL Gameweek 19 Transfer Tips: Two Players to BUY ~ Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8.3m)

This is clearly the standout fixture of this GW. Burnley has managed only 1 Clean Sheet this season – against last boys Sheffield United. They have also scored the second-fewest goals this season – behind only Sheffield United.

Liverpool on the other hand, is in the Top 3 for almost all attacking metrics:

  • Big chances created
  • xG
  • xGNP
  • xG Open Play

Even as a defence, Liverpool ranks in the Top 3 for almost all the metrics (fewest):

  • Shots Conceded
  • Shots on Target Conceded
  • xG Conceded

Trent Alexander-Arnold is the new talisman of Liverpool and has consistently been the highest scorer FPL points in the:

  • Last 9 GWs
  • Last 8 GWs
  • Last 7 GWs
  • Last 6 GWs
  • Last 5 GWs

Expect the Englishman to bag a haul against Burnley at both ends of the field.

Matchup: Burnley have conceded the most xG from set play(7.9), whereas Liverpool have the 4th highest xG from set play so far this season(7.23). TAA could benefit from the set-play matchup!

FPL Gameweek 19 Transfer Tips: Two Players to HOLD

Son Heung-min (£9.8m) – MID, Spurs – 44.1% TSB

FPL Gameweek 19 Transfer Tips: Two Players to HOLD ~ Son Heung-min (£9.8m) – MID, Spurs – 44.1% TSB

Two blanks in the last 4 games have dampened the spirit of Son’s owners. However a deep dive into the underlying numbers show how unlucky Son and his owners have been. Even in this time period, Son was ranked 2nd overall and 1st for midfielders for xGI.

In GW19, he faces Brighton & Hove Albion who are the only team in the PL to have not kept a single clean sheet so far this season. In fact, except the promoted clubs, no club has conceded more goals than Brighton this season.

So, HOLD Son.

Matchup alert: Brighton have conceded more chances in their left flank(52) and central zone(50) than their right flank(39) so far this season. Son operates exactly in these zones and has a great matchup!

William Saliba (£5.5m) – DEF, Arsenal – 36.0% TSB

FPL Gameweek 19 Transfer Tips: Two Players to HOLD ~ William Saliba (£5.5m) – DEF, Arsenal – 36.0% TSB

Just 1 Clean Sheet in the last 5 games has got Saliba’s owners a tad worried. However, Arsenal remained a top defensive side even in this lean period (GW 14 onwards) being ranked (larger the better):

  • 20th for xG Conceded
  • 20th for xGNP Conceded
  • 19th for Shots on Target Conceded
  • 19th for Big Chances Conceded
  • 18th for Shots Conceded
  • 18th for Shots in Box Conceded

Looking forward, from now on till the end of January, it’s a mouth-watering run of fixtures for Saliba

So if you have Saliba in your team, HOLD

FPL Gameweek 19 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL

Jordan Pickford (£4.4m) – GKP, Everton – 9.0% TSB

FPL Gameweek 19 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL ~ Jordan Pickford (£4.4m) – GKP, Everton – 9.0% TSB

A streak of 4 Clean Sheets has seen some interest brew amongst FPL managers for the Everton Goalkeeper. However the golden days might be over for Pickford as Everton has a very difficult fixture run in the short and medium term.

Everton sits 20th for FDR for GW19 and 18th for FDR between GW19-24.

Therefore, sell Pickford for someone like Leno.

Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m) – MID, Brighton & Hove Albion – 19.8% TSB

FPL Gameweek 19 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL ~ Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m) – MID, Brighton & Hove Albion – 19.8% TSB

23 points in the last 11 games courtesy 0 goals and 2 assists – it’s fair to say the most popular £6.5m MID at the beginning of the FPL has spectacularly imploded.

I know BHA fixtures till GW28 look too good to turn down. However, please note Brighton are still in Europa League, along with FA Cup and EPL. So De Zerbi is going to continue rotating his team.

He is also carrying an injury flag. With cheaper assets like Gordon, Adingra, Luiz and Palmer drawing all the attention and points, Mitoma is a sell this GW. However please note, he is not a MUST SELL. If you’ve other burning issues in your team, you can prioritize fixing those first.
