FPL GW28 Scout Picks
FPL GW28 Scout Picks- Goalkeeper
Kepa has 5 clean sheets and 58 points from 12 games since the World Cup which is the highest among Goalkeepers. Chelsea have shifted to a back 3 with wing-backs in recent weeks which has also improved their clean-sheet potential. Their GW28 opponent, Everton have just 9 goals from the last 12 games and are struggling to find goals regularly without a center forward. Their record in away games this season is also not looking great, just the 8 goals in 13 games(3rd lowest in the league).
Expect another clean sheet for Kepa and Chelsea in GW28. Chelsea also have the second-best CS odds with a 56% chance of a clean sheet vs Everton.
Even after that, Chelsea have a good Double in GW29 with 2 home games against Villa and Liverpool.

FPL GW28 Scout Picks- Defenders
Crystal Palace has the least xG(9.91), 3rd Least Shots inside the Box(70), 2nd Least Big chances(11), and Least goals(6) among all teams since the World Cup break, all the signs of a team struggling for goals. The eagles finally managed to have a shot on target against Brighton in GW27 after going three games without a shot on target becoming the first team on record since 2003-04 to have achieved this unwanted record.
In the last two PL games since Chelsea switched to a 3-4-3 formation, Chilwell is second amongst Chelsea players for xGI(0.47) only behind Havertz and has had 3 shots inside the box along with a big chance. The Chelsea full back is one of the priority transfers for managers as he offers both attacking ans defensive points potential in the upcoming gameweeks.
Trippier since the WC Break has registered the second-highest xA(5.47), created the most big chances created(11), and key passes(38) amongst all players.
Key Matchup
Over the last 6 games, Forest have conceded 74 crosses from their left flank (Trippier’s side) which is the 3rd highest among all teams, Forest have also conceded 28 chances from their left flank (Trippier’s side) which is also the 3rd highest amongst all teams. This should work well in Trippier’s favor who has the most successful crosses(44) among defenders since the World Cup. Second best is TAA with just 22 successful crosses, this shows how much Trippier is ahead of the pack.

FPL GW28 Scout Picks- Midfielders
Since GW24, Martinelli is the highest scoring FPL player with 42 points thanks to his 5 goals, no player has scored more than 3 goals during the period. The linkup with Trossard has helped Martinelli big time which allowed him to play similar to the pre WC break period when he had a brilliant linkup with Jesus. Nketiah is set to miss out due to his injury and it should be either Trossard or Jesus linking up with him against Palace at home.
Martinelli since GW24(5 games) Goals: 5 (1st amongst all players) xG: 2.92 Shots: 14 Shots inside the box: 13 Shots on Target: 6 Big Chances: 6 Big Chances created: 0 Key Passes: 5 xA: 0.67 xGI: 3.6 FPL Points: 42(1st amongst all players)
Saka is our third Arsenal option in our scout picks this week, he has blanked in the last two games but that shouldn’t be a big concern. Overall this season he has 10 goals and 10 assists, and will look to add a few more against struggling Palace this week.
Maddison who was brought in by a lot of managers in the last few GWs has been unlucky not to return in the last 2 games despite excellent underlying numbers- 6 shots, 7 key passes, 3 big chances created, xGI- 1.80. He is surely due a return and features in this week’s scout picks selection.
Maddison is not just a good option for GW28. He should be a solid pick even after GW28 considering the fixtures they have. Leicester City are also one of 6 teams confirmed to not blank in GW28+GW32 and also Double in GW29.
Amongst Bournemouth players, in the last two games, the top player for xGI is Billing with an xGI of 1.4. Billing scored in both games against Arsenal and Liverpool. Overall this season he’s the highest scoring Bournemouth player with six goals and 93 points. The Bournemouth star is the differential option in this week’s scout picks. Billing also has decent fixtures in DGW29 too against Fulham and Brighton at home after playing Villa away in GW28.

FPL GW28 Scout Picks- Forwards
Watkins is the form of his life with 6 goals from the last 7 games getting 50 FPL points averaging more than 7 points a game. He has blanked only once in the last 7 games as well. Aston Villa are one of the 6 teams to have a confirmed game in GW28+GW32 and also Double in GW29.
Matchup alert-
Over the last 6 games, Bournemouth have conceded 124 crosses from their left flank(Highest in the league), and 58 crosses from the right(6th highest in the league). This should work well for Watkins who is really good in the air- 3 of his last 7 goals have been headers. In fact, His 3 headed goals are the highest for headed goals among all players since the World Cup.
Toney is up against a Leicester side who are without a clean sheet in the last 11 games conceding 21 goals in the process which is the highest in the league since the World Cup. Toney so far this season has scored 16 goals which is only betteres by Haaland and Kane. His xG of 15.46 is also the 3rd best in the PL so far this season. Note: He’s on 9 yellow cards and if he gets one vs Leicester he’ll be suspended for both the games in double gameweek 29.
Kane once again proved his class as Spurs returned back to winning ways against Forest last week. Kane will be facing Southampton in GW28 away from home and has a good record vs Southampton(11 goals, 6 assists from 15 games in the Premier League). Saints have the worst home record this season conceding the most goals(21) in home games so far with just one CS, Spurs meanwhile have a decent away record scoring 20 goals in 13 games which is the 5th highest in the league.
