FPL GW33 Transfer Targets & Watchlist Based on Eye Test & Stats

Welcome to FPL PAZ’s FPL GW33 Transfer Targets and Watchlist, where I highlight the THREE best transfer targets in each position for the upcoming Gameweeks. The goal is to give managers a watchlist for both the immediate Gameweek and future Gameweeks. All picks are analyzed with stats, fixtures, and current form. LET’S GET INTO IT:

FPL GW33 Transfer Targets

Virgil Van Djik LIV £6.6

Projected Points GW33-38: 28.9

Double GWs are upon us, and managers have many decisions to make. For those managers looking for DGW defenders, then I would look at Van Dijk as an option. Van Dijk has a good fixture this GW against Palace before a great DGW against Everton and Fulham. Moving forward, Van Dijk has the easiest fixtures in the next 6 GWs, so he is a great long-term pick as well as a short-term pick for those managers looking to dead-end into GW35.

Van Dijk also has a great attacking threat for a CB with a 0.11 xGI per 90 minutes. Van Dijk is also Top for Shots inside the Box(28) among Defenders in the Premier League this season. Good fixtures and nailed; Van Dijk is a great defender to go to in GW33.

Martin Ødegaard ARS £8.6

Projected Points GW32-38: 35.8

Ødegaard has been disappointing lately, with only 1 attacking return in the last 4 GWs. Moving forward, I do like him as an option to bring in this GW, as he has a home game against a weakened Villa side without Douglas Luiz before a DGW in GW34. Many managers would be wondering why is Havertz is not in this conversation, and while I like Havertz, I would just go for the expected minutes that Ødegaard provides with Havertz having the possibility of a random benching.

Key Stat: Odegaard has 3 goals, and 3 assists from the last 8 matches getting 55 points in the process. During these last 8 matches, Odegaard has registered 4 Double Digit Hauls– No Player in the league has more Double Digit hauls than him.

Lastly, Ødegaard is also on penalties when Saka is off the pitch and could be gifted another penalty from Saka while he is on the pitch. With the 2^nd easiest schedule for attackers over the rest of the season, Ødegaard is a perfectly great option going into GW33.

Darwin Nunez LIV £7.7

Projected Points GW32-38: 37.1

The chaos man rewarded managers with another attacking return in GW33. Darwin continues to deliver for those managers who bought him in GW31. Moving forward, Darwin is a great option to bring in, as he had great fixtures against Crystal Palace before a great DGW in 34 against Everton and Fulham. We know what Darwin can do as he has a 0.95 xGI per 90 minutes, which gives him a great potential for massive hauls in the upcoming GWs. With not many good forwards in GW33 that double in GW34, managers who do need a forward move this GW should still look at Darwin as the best of the bunch.
