Welcome to FPL PAZ’s(Twitter, Do follow him) Transfer Targets and Watchlist, where I highlight the THREE best transfer targets in each position for FPL GW20 and beyond. The goal is to give managers a watchlist for both the immediate Gameweek and future Gameweeks. All picks are analyzed with stats, fixtures, and current form. LET’S GET INTO IT:

FPL GW20 Transfer Targets
Alex Moreno AVL £5.0
Projected Points GW20-26: 24.6
With the Digne injury, many managers will be looking at Alex Moreno in the upcoming GWs, and he should absolutely be on everyone’s watchlist. Moreno has the fixtures and underlying stats that make him a high-upside pick.
Digne injury update:
Lucas Digne due to undergo a scan on his hamstring after coming off injured in the defeat at Manchester United. Unai Emery on Lucas Digne injury: “I think he’s going to be injured. Hamstring.”
Moving forward, Aston Villa has the 4th easiest fixture for defenders over the next six GWs, which gives him a high ceiling as they will have a high chance for clean sheets. Moreno also has the underlying stats to back him as a pick, as he put up 0.22 xGI per 90 minutes last season. With good fixtures and good stats, Moreno is a great defender to put on your watchlist and bring in this GW.
After missing the majority of this season so far due to injury, Moreno is now fully fit and completed full 90 minutes in GW17 vs Brentford. His underlying numbers were also really good in that game.

Alejandro Garnacho MUN £4.7
Projected Points GW20-26: 31.4
With 2 goals in GW19, Garnacho established himself as a great budget enabler for those managers looking to make room for Haaland, Salah, and Son in the future. Garnacho has seemingly nailed his position on the side with 9 straight league starts.
Garnacho played on the RW vs Aston Villa with Marcus Rashford starting from his preferred LW position. This setup seems to have solved the RW problem for Ten Hag, as seen below Garnacho(Number 17) was the most forward player against Aston Villa!
Garnacho has the underlying stats to back him as a fantasy asset with a 0.45 xGI Per 90 minutes and costing only £4.7. Garnacho also has the 2nd best fixtures for attackers over the next six GWs, which raises his ceiling. United has been awful this season, especially in attack, but at his price, with his underlying stats and managers trying to make room for high-priced assets, Garnacho is a name that all managers should keep in their watchlist.

Since GW13, Garnacho has taken 26 shots- Highest among all the players in the league. For context, Solanke(24) and Salah(21) are ranked 2nd and 3rd for Shots during this time.

Julian Alvarez MCI £6.8
Projected Points GW20-26: 31.0
With a goal in GW19, Julian Alvarez got back on track after a disappointing couple of GWs, which saw him fail to score since GW9. The reason for Alvarez’s inclusion is that we still do not know when Haaland will be back, and Alvarez is great when he plays as the lone striker.
Alvarez’s underlying stats are also great, with a 0.75 xGI per 90 minutes, which is also aided by him being on penalties when Haaland is out. Lastly, if Haaland is ruled out in GW20, Alvarez becomes one of the best captaincy options for his match against Sheffield. With a potential DGW on the horizon and good underlying stats, Julian Alvarez should be in all of our watchlists until we get more information about Haaland.
Alvarez looked really good vs Everton in GW19 and got a goal but should have had more.
