Arteta on the new signings via Arsenal website
They are and we have to find that fluidity within the game, and those relationships. That’s something that is difficult to predict as a coach what’s going to work, but sometimes whether it’s on the pitch or sitting at the table, and they find that chemistry between them. Especially, in the first half, the way we started, we were a bit suffocated with the weather, and we started to give too many simple balls away, and we could not really control the game. But it was true that we were exceptional in both boxes today; every time we were in the final third in good positions, we put the ball in the back of the net, and we have to defend moments in those transitions when we give the ball away. I think we defended really well, as well.

Unfortunately, he has had a little procedure this morning, he had some discomfort in his knee that has been causing some issues and they had to go in and resolve it. It’s not something major, but he’s going to be out for a few weeks I think.on how big a blow Jesus’ injury is:
Yeah, it’s a big blow because we had him back to his best, especially with the way he played against Barcelona, and he was in good condition, and we’ve lost him. He’s been feeling some discomfort in the last few weeks, we had to look at it and we had to make a decision and the best one is to protect the player and get him back as quickly as possible, so we decided to do it.on if it’s a new injury for Jesus:
No, it’s something related to the previous injury that he had and the surgery. He had some irritation in the knee and we had to get it resolved.on why Bukayo Saka didn’t feature:
Arteta on Jesus’ Injury after the game vs Monaco
He was fine, but afterwards he wasn’t feeling great on the bench, and we didn’t want to use him. I think he had some sickness or some illness, so we could not use him

Key Notes(Brighton only):
Goals: Welbeck, Pedro(Penalty), Undav
Assists: Mitoma, Pedro

- 41′- Two good chances for Albion there as Lallana pulls it back for Weblz who has his shot palmed away by the diving Kepa, before Albion recycle the ball, Mitoma cuts in but bends his effort tamely into the arms of the Chelsea keeper.
- Half Time Subs: Verbruggen, Undav, Adingra and Veltman come on for Lallana, March, Dahoud and Steele.
- 55′- Gross plays a cutting pass through the Chelsea defence for Pedro who skips past a Chalobah challenge before taking it wide, lobbing it over Kepa, but it’s not quite got the direction on it and bounces wide of the post before it’s cleared!
- 60′- van Hecke takes out Cesare Casadei on the right flank and receives his second booking of the evening.
- 66′- Subs: Gross and Hinshelwood are replaced by Weir and Samuels.
- 78′- GOAL 2: Pedro goes on a lovely run into the box before he’s tripped by a certain Levi Colwill. Penalty. Pedro takes a few little steps before stroking it into the bottom right corner. Kepa dives the right way but it’s beyond his reach.
- 89′- GOAL 3: Undav spins away from Cucurella and fires past Kepa with a minute of normal time to play.
Key FPL Notes:
- Steele and Verbruggen played one half each. So we are still not sure who will be the nailed first choice keeper. Wait and Watch

- Brighton really entertaining and attacking despite playing last 30 minutes with just 10 men.

26 July: Crystal Palace 1-2 Millonarios
Crystal Palace Lineup:
Goal- Jake O Brien
Assist- Eze
Key notes:
- 15′- Palace work it from right to left with Ahamada carrying the ball across the pitch, exchanging passes with Lerma and feeding Hughes in an advanced area. The midfielder takes a touch and slides it in behind for Mateta to run onto… he’s running away from goal, and his dinked finish is deflected behind off the sliding defender and out for a corner.
- 33′- It’s an open enough game so far at SeatGeek Stadium, with both sides enjoying plenty of touches in their opponents’ respective final thirds – but no real clear chances of note… yet. Ayew leads a charge down the right, Mateta attempts to turn… it’s lovely footwork… but just as he looks to get the shot away, in steps Arias on the cover to clear.
- 45′- Three changes for Palace at half-time: Mateta, Guehi and Andersen off – Edouard, Tomkins and O’Brien on.
- 56′- Millonarios’ wingers are proving a tricky pair to handle, and this time it’s left winger, Valencia who initially skips past Ward, driving into the box and closing in on goal… but the Palace full-back scampers back, wins the ball on the slide, blocks the follow-up and comes away with it before booting it away.
- 62′- Mitchell, Schlupp, Doucouré and Eze ON, Lerma, Riedewald, Ward and Hughes OFF
- 64′- GOAL– It’s a teasing delivery from Eze towards the penalty spot, the O Brien is unmarked – and he heads home into the bottom corner!
- 70′- Ayew comes off and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi comes on.
- 81′- Mitchell is off, it appears with a minor injury, and JK Gordon is on.
