Fanteam 2022 World Cup Fantasy- Single Entry Game

With just less than a week to for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the FanTeam single entry Fantasy game which has a minimum guaranteed prize pool of £50,000 is live now. The best part is that this is a Single entry Fantasy game which means that one user can register only one team in this competition. Prize Pool

This game requires £5 entry and is restricted to only one team per user. There’s a minimum guaranteed prize pool of £50,000, with the winner bagging at least £5,000(10% of total prize pool). However, should the prize pool exceed £50,000 with more entries coming in, then the 1st place prize will also grow, but still remain at 10% of the total prize pool.

Game Rules

  • Squad structure & Budget: 11 man team with a budget of £90m for Gameweek 1 which will then increase to £95m for Gameweek 5 (Quarter-finals).
  • Minimum of 1 goalkeeper, 3 defenders, 2 midfielders and 1 forward in youe 11- member team
  • Captaincy– Captain scores double the points for every Gameweek. If you captain does not play, vice- captain comes in to get the Double points.
  • No Price changes during the entire tournament.

Gameweeks, Transfers and Wildcard Info

  • 2 Free transfers each for Gameweek 2, 3 and 4. 3 free transfers to use in each of Gameweek 6 (semi-final) and 7 (final).
  • -4 points for additional transfers other than the above mentioned free transfers.
  •  Wildcard is automatically activated for everyone in Gameweek 5 where you can make unlimited transfers between Gameweek 4 deadline and Gameweek 5 deadline

Key points to note in terms of Point scoring-

  • No need to change or switch Captaincy during a particular Gameweek- Similar to FPL
  • 0.5 points for each save made by a Goalkeeper
  • If a Forward or Midfielder stays on the pitch for the entire game(90 mins & including injury time) they will pick up an additional point
  • If the team wins the period a player is on the pitch, the player will be awarded 0.3 points. However, if the team lose the period while player is on the pitch, there is a negative 0.3 points.
  • Midfielders & Forwards are awarded 0.4 points for every Shot on Target. Defenders get 0.6 points for every Shot on Target, while Goalkeepers get 1 point for Shot on Target if they manage it!
  • Safety Net feature will be active for this tournament. This means if a player you picked is not in the starting 11 lineup, they’ll be automatically replaced by the next priced (descending) player from the same club and position
  • No points are awarded during extra time and penalty shootouts.
