All Premier League Teams Predicted GW13 Lineups

Arsenal

Arsenal continue to be quite easy to predict for the most part, with the only uncertainty being at left-back. Given that Tierney and Tomiyasu started in the Europa League against PSV on Thursday, and there is no clarity on whether Zinchenko has recovered from his calf injury, Arteta should go with Tomiyasu.

Last week’s success rate: N/A, Arsenal blanked in GW12

Arsenal GW13 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Arsenal GW13 Predicted lineup:

Ramsdale

White – Saliba – Gabriel – Tomiyasu

Xhaka – Partey – Odegaard

Saka – Jesus – Martinelli

Arsenal PC/Injury Updates(21/10/22)

Snippets from Arteta PC:

on Bukayo Saka’s fitness:

I think he’s fine. I think he was struggling a bit at the end [against PSV], but hopefully he will be fine for Sunday.

on Gabriel Martinelli’s fitness:

Yeah, he came on yesterday. He had a tough week, he wasn’t feeling great during the week, but towards the day before the game, he was already feeling better and that’s why we decided to play him a little bit.

on Oleksandr Zinchenko’s fitness:

I think he’s close [to returning]. He’s getting better and better and he’s progressing really well. He had a setback on the injury that he had at the start of the season, which is a shame, but knowing Alex, he will be back very soon.

on if Zinchenko will play this weekend:

I can’t tell you. He’s always in contention.

Aston Villa

The now departed Gerrard made a switch to the lineup with Bednarek coming in at left-back as Cash was dropped with Young going over to right back. The fact that Cash came on at half-time suggests that he should start against Brentford.

Elsewhere, the sending off to Douglas Luiz will see him suspended for Brentford, meaning that Dendoncker could come in.

Ings was also off the pace so he may make way for Buendia.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)

Aston Villa GW13 Predicted Formation

  • 4-3-1-2

Aston Villa GW13 Predicted Lineup:

Martinez

Cash – Mings – Konsa – Young

Ramsey – McGinn – Douglas Luiz

Buendia

Bailey – Watkins

Aston Villa PC/Injury Updates(21/10/22)

Former Villa manager, Gerrard in the pre-match PC before the Fulham game confirmed Cash was rested so he’s available to play against Brentford. Douglas Luiz’s red card has been overturned so he’s available as well. Deigo Carlos, and Kamara are definitely out. Digne and Ludwig Augustinsson’s availability is also a huge doubt.

Bournemouth

Gary O’Neil continues to be easy to predict. Even with the midweek game, he picked the same 11 as the previous game, which suggests that he is set on his first-choice 11. Fredericks also seems to have usurped Zemura as the first choice left back.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Bournemouth GW13 Predicted formation

  • 4-2-3-1

Bournemouth GW13 Predicted lineup:

Neto

Federicks – Mepham – Sensei – Smith

Cook – Lerma

Christie – Billing- Tavernier

Solanke

Bournemouth PC/Injury Updates(19/10/22)

“The boys are good. You pick up some bumps and bruises which you’re always going to get, but generally, we’re good.” ~ Gary O’Neil on the PC

Club captain Lloyd Kelly and David Brooks are long-term absentees.

Brighton

Brighton made one change for GW12, with Estupinan dropping out for Lallana. The only likely change to the lineup for City should be of that being reversed. Although the back 4 has been more favored over the last couple of matches, they may go to a back 3 for the more difficult test that is City.

Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted 8 starters correctly last week)

Brighton GW13 Predicted formation

  • 3-4-2-1

Brighton GW13 Predicted lineup:

Sanchez

Veltman – Webster – Dunk

March MacAllister – Caicedo Estupinan

Gross

Trossard Welback

Brighton PC/Injury News(21/10/22)

Roberto De Zerbi said in his press conference on Friday morning that he will be assessing his squad’s fitness with the medical team later on in the day, with the likes of Kaoru Mitoma and Levi Colwill to be assessed ahead of Saturday’s game.

Brentford

Frank decided to play a back 5 against Chelsea, which was to be expected given the difficulty of the opponent. With a far less daunting prospect up next in Aston Villa, I can see him going back to a back 4. Ajer sat this one out and that was in all probability a rest so he should come in at right back. Wissa could also come back into the front 3.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 8 starters correctly last week)

Brentford GW13 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Brentford GW13 Predicted lineup:

Raya

Ajer – Pinnock – Mee – Henry

Janlet – Jensen Onyeka

Mbeumo – Toney – Wissa

Brentford PC/Injury Update(21/10/22)

No fresh injury concerns for Brentford. Christian Norgaard is progressing well from an Achilles injury but won’t be available against Aston Villa. Good chance Kristoffer Ajer will return to the side after being rested for the 0-0 draw with Chelsea.

Chelsea

Predicting Potter remains a thankless task. There was once more plenty of rotation and that looks set to continue. The only players who appear to be favoured for every game are Kepa, Cucurella, and Mount. Besides that, it’s anyone’s guess. Considering Chilwell and Thiago were rested for this game, they could come back in with the defensive setup that played against Villa.

Up front, it’ll likely be Sterling and Aubameyang considering they didn’t start in midweek.

Gallagher went off for Kovacic so the latter will come into midfield in all likelihood.

Last week’s success rate: 6/11 (We predicted 6 starters correctly last week)

Chelsea GW13 Predicted formation:

  • 3-4-1-2

Chelsea GW13 Predicted lineup:

Kepa,

Koulibaly – Chalobah – Thiago Silva

Loftus Cheek – Kovacic – Jorginho – Chilwell

Mount

Sterling Aubameyang

Chelsea Injury/PC Updates(21/10/22)

He’s in a brace for four weeks to stablise the knee, then it’s rehab. That will take eight weks we think. That’s the latest. – Potter on Reece James

We are still in the process of recovery. Pretty much as we were with Brentford. Conor [Gallagher] trained today so we will how he is over the 24 hours. – Potter on Team news

Crystal Palace

Viera went for a more attacking approach against Wolves, which was understandable considering how little their opponents have offered going forward so far this season. Their next opponents Everton have arguably been even less potent in front of goal so the same lineup and system may persist except for Doucoure who is suspended after accumulating 5 yellow cards.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Crystal Palace GW13 Predicted Formation

  • 4-3-3

Crystal Palace GW13 Predicted lineup:

Guaita

Ward – Guehi – Andersen – Mitchell

Schulpp – Eze – Olise

Ayew Edouard – Zaha

Crystal Palace injury/PC Update:

No fresh injury concerns but no long-term injury returns as well. Will Hughes back from illness, Ferguson to build fitness with the U21s. Clyne and McArthur remain out for the Eagles. Doucoure is out due to suspension.

Everton

Lampard made one change to the lineup that lost to Tottenham, with Calvert-Lewin coming in for his first start of the season. I’d expect him to stay in the team with no changes elsewhere.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)

Everton GW13 Predicted formation

  • 4-3-2-1

Everton GW13 Predicted lineup

Pickford

Coleman- Tarkowski – Coady – Mykolenko

Onana – Iwobi – Gueye

Gordon – Gray

DCL

Everton PC/Injury Update:

Frank Lampard has confirmed he has no fresh injury concerns ahead of Everton’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace at Goodison Park.

The Blues boss offered a positive update on Nathan Patterson, who has now returned to training and is aiming for a return to action against Fulham next weekend after stepping up his return from an ankle injury.

But the Scot will not be available when Patrick Vieira’s side head to Merseyside on Saturday (3pm BST).

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Lampard said: “He’s progressing, he’s training with us and will be fit, hopefully, for next week.”

Mason Holgate, meanwhile, was back on the bench for the trip to St. James’ Park after overcoming a knee problem and will once again be in contention for a place in the starting line-up.

Yerry Mina, who suffered a setback in his recovery from a calf injury last week, remains sidelined.

Fulham

Fulham made a solitary change with Willian coming back in to the side, and he was arguably their best player so he should keep his place in the side. Tosin was benched for the second consecutive game so the back 4 that started the 3-0 win against Villa will probably start against Leeds.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Fulham GW13 Predicted formation:

  • 4-2-3-1

Fulham GW13 Predicted lineup:

Leno

Reid – Ream – Diop – Robinson

Palhinha – H Reed

Kebano – Andreas – Willian

Mitrovic

Leeds United

Marsh made a couple of interesting changes to the Leeds lineup. After impressing in his showing off the bench against Arsenal, Summerville was rewarded with a start against Leicester with Harrison dropping out, but I’d imagine that was simply rotation. Koch also made way for Lorente, but given that he came on at half time, Koch should come back in for Fulham. Bamford also came in for Rodrigo but that was a more expected change.

Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)

Leeds United GW13 Predicted formation:

  • 4-2-3-1

Leeds United GW13 Predicted lineup:

 Meslier

Kristensen – Cooper – Koch – Struijik

Adams-Roca

Sinisterra – Aaronson – Harrison

Bamford

Leeds Injury News/PC Updates 21/10/22

Struijik availability is a bit of a doubt after he missed the midweek game due to a small issue. Cooper should be back in GW13 after his benching was purely to manage minutes.

Leicester City

Rodgers made two changes for the clash with Leeds, one enforced and one by choice. Praet came in for the suspended Maddison and Daka was rested for Vardy. I’d expect both of those changes to be reversed for the Wolves game.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Leicester City GW13 Predicted formation:

  • 4-4-2

Leicester City GW13 Predicted lineup:

Ward

Justin – Faes – Amartey – Castagne

Tielemans – Soumare – Dewsbury Hall

Maddison – Daka – Barnes

Leicester City PC/Injury Updates(21/10/22)

“We’ll see,” manager Brendan Rodgers said, providing an update on Evans’ condition. “I think he’ll be out on the [training] pitch, but it might be too soon for him at the weekend, we’ll see.”

Marc Albrighton, on the other hand, was not involved for Leicester against Leeds and Rodgers confirmed it was due to mild illness. The Premier League and FA Cup winner could make a recovery in time for Sunday’s trip to the West Midlands.

“He was off ill,” the Foxes manager confirmed. “He’s been ill for a few days. I saw him [on Thursday] morning and he was feeling much better so hopefully he’ll be back in [on Friday] and available for the weekend.”

Liverpool

After only returning from injury recently, Robertson was rested against West Ham for Tsimikas, but he should come back in for Forest. The rest of the team may remain the same as that which started against West Ham, barring Henderson maybe dropping out for Fabinho. Carvalho might be the only player who’s place could be under threat, but the lack of left-sided options may mean that he stays in.

Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted 8 starters correctly last week)

Liverpool GW13 Predicted formation

  • 4-3-3

Liverpool GW13 Predicted lineup:

Allison

TAA – Van Dijk – Gomez – Robertson

Fabinho – Thiago

Firmino

Salah – Nunez – Fabio Carvalho

Liverpool Injury/PC Update(21/10/22)

Klopp on Nunez fitness:

He is one of the cases where we need to have a look because he was not injured, but he felt something and I don’t know if he feels that still today and what the medical department tells me then, we have to see.

There are no ‘injuries’, but knocks here and there and I will get further information later today.

Keita and Konate will be back in full training from Monday. Ox has been training for a few a days but will take time as he’s been out for a while.

Oxlade trains now for four or five days with us, so that is better but he was out for a long time as well.

On Matip’s fitness…

Good, everything is going well, but he needs a bit of time. I think with him it will be tight until the World Cup break, hopefully the last two or three games he might be in contention, but I don’t know yet. It is all going in the right direction.

Manchester City

Given that they’ve had a week’s rest, the City team should be largely full strength. The makeshift back 4 from the past few games should continue.

Last week’s success rate: N/A as they blanked in GW12

Manchester City GW13 Predicted formation

Pep Guardiola on @kylewalker2’s fitness: “I didn’t speak with the doctors. Hopefully he can make the World Cup if he’s selected. John [Stones] trains last two days, tomorrow on the list. Kalvin [Phillips] is incredible, doing well too…” [via @_joebray]

Manchester United

As we predicted would be the case, Rashford came in for Ronaldo up front and it resulted in arguably United’s best performance of the season so everything points to that continuing against Chelsea.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Manchester United GW13 Predicted formation:

  • 4-2-3-1

Manchester United GW13 Predicted lineup:

De Gea

Dalot – Martinez – Varane – Shaw

Eriksen – Casemiro

Anthony – Bruno – Sancho

Rashford

Manchester United PC/Injury Update(21/10/22)

Martial is out as confirmed by ETH. Ronaldo will also not be involved after being dropped for the Chelsea game.

Newcastle United

Newcastle went in unchanged once again and it resulted in yet another victory. Whilst the current team is functioning as well as it is, there’s no reason for changing anything around.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Newcastle United GW13 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Newcastle United GW13 Predicted lineup:

Pope

Trippier Botman – Schar – Burn

Longstaff – Bruno Guimares – Joelinton

Almiron – Wilson – Murphy

Newcastle United PC/Injury News(21/10/22):

Eddie Howe on Joelinton: “He had a knock to the side of his knee. We thought he could run it off but when he said he had to come off at half-time we knew there was potentially an issue there. We’re hopeful it’s not serious but at this moment it’s still slightly unclear.”

Nottingham Forest

Cooper made a curious selection against Brighton, with Aurier and Williams both starting. Considering they kept a clean sheet, that could remain the case. That should be helped by the fact that Toffollo won’t be available for the weekend as per Cooper’s press conference comments.

Dennis also dropped to the bench in what was a bit of a surprise, and with their lack of threat going forward, he may come back in favour of an increasingly off-the-pace Lingard

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Nottingham Forest GW13 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Nottingham Forest GW13 Predicted lineup

Henderson

Williams – Cook – McKenna – Aurier

Mangala – Yates – Frueler

Gibbs White – Johnson – Dennis

Nottingham Forest PC/Injury Updates(20/10/22)

Nottingham Forest defender Harry Toffolo is facing a spell on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring problem on Tuesday night.

The left-back was forced off little more than 15 minutes after being brought on in the 0-0 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion. He joins long-term absentees Omar Richards (hairline fracture of the leg) and Moussa Niakhate (hamstring) in being out of action.

Southampton

HassenHuttl made the change to centre back that was suspected, as Calitah-Car came in for Bella-Kotchap. Besides that, it was a surprisingly consistent lineup with that which has featured recently. KWP is ruled out for a while and with Tino livramento already out long-term, Saints are facing a big problem at RB. Arsenal loanee Maitland Niles is also ineligible to play against his parent club, our guess is that Stephens plays there.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Southampton GW13 Predicted formation

  • 4-2-3-1

Southampton GW13 Predicted lineup:

Bazunu

Larios – Calita-Car – Salisu- Perraud

Diallo – Ward Prowse

Stuart Armstrong – Aribo – Adam Armstrong

Che Adams

Southampton PC/Injury Updates(21/10/22)

“We have another big injury,” said Hasenhüttl during his press conference. “Kyle will be out for the long term. It’s a hamstring injury. We will see how long.

“Armel [Bella-Kotchap] is still out also and will take a bit of time. Not sure how long. This injury can always happen again if you don’t have surgery but he’s a strong guy.”

But there is some positive news when it comes to the squad, as long-term absentee Roméo Lavia returns to team training.

Lavia has been out of action since picking up an injury against Chelsea at St Mary’s at the end of August.

“Roméo [Lavia] is back in training but after a long time out it will take time. It’s good to see him back training with the team.”

Tottenham

As much by circumstance as it was by design, Conte played a 352 against Man United. Though they were comfortably outplayed, that’ll probably continue, given the uncertainty around Kulusevski’s fitness and Richarlison being out.

Given that Perisic has started the last few games and there’s a tough mid week fixture, he could sit this one out for Sessegnon.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)

Spurs GW13 Predicted formation:

  • 3-4-3

Spurs GW13 Predicted lineup:

Lloris

Romero – Dier – Davies

Doherty – Bentancur – Bissouma – Hojbjerg – Sessegnon

Kane – Son

Spurs PC/Injury Updates(21/10/22);

No news. Deki Kulusevski is not available. I think we have to wait a bit of time to see him with us. It was the same for Richarlison. Emerson is back after a ban and then we have another training session tomorrow to try to make an evaluation. Now to play many games in such a short period you need to speak to and check with the players to try to recover and avoid injuries. Then we’ll make a decision.

Kulusevski now could be ruled our until the world cup in a worrying sign for Conte.

Conte on injuries

When you have a Kulusevski injury and Richarlison. Lucas is not ready to start and then for sure this type of situation creates you a big difficulty. We have in this moment Harry and Sonny in good health. (Laughs) Fingers crossed, I hope to continue otherwise I have to put on the shoes to play!

West Ham

Moyes adopted a more defensive setup against Liverpool, partly due to the opponent and also partly dictated by the fact that the makeshift defense required a bit more protection. Though Zouma returned, Dawson remained absent for them along with the other centre backs that are out. As such, Flynn Downes came in for his first league start at Paqueta’s expense as the Brazilian star is out for two weeks.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted all 9 starters correctly last week)

West Ham GW13 Predicted Formation

  • 4-2-3-1

West Ham GW13 Predicted lineup:

Fabianski

Kehrer – Zouma -Johnson – Cresswell

Rice – Soucek – Benrahma

Bowen -Scamacca – Fornals

West Ham injury/PC Updates(21/10/22)

We don’t think Lucas Paqueta’s injury is as serious as first feared. But the injury is not one that is normal for football players, so we need to treat it accordingly.

“Maxwel [Cornet] is back on the grass.”

“Hopefully both Maxwell and Craig will have a chance [against Bournemouth],” Moyes said in his pre-match press conference. “Maxwell has been on the grass, but it might come a bit quick for him.

Wolves

The only real positive for Wolves in their 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace was the debut of Hugo Bueno at left back. The Spaniard capped an impressive performance off with an assist and it’d be harsh for him to be dropped after a performance like that so he may keep his place.

Nathan Collins also returned after serving his suspension.

Adama Traore also played fairly well so he too could keep his place.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Wolves GW13 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Wolves GW13 Predicted lineup:

Sa

Jonny- Kilman – Gomez – Bueno

Neves – Moutinho – Traore

Podence – Costa -Nunes

Wolves PC/Injury Update(21/10/22)

Ait Nouri is back after missing GW12 due to illness. Raul Jimenez, Neto, Mosquera, and Sasa Kalajdzic are long-term absentees.

As we said when predicting the GW12 lineups, there will definitely be some incorrect calls in here, however, we’ll always do our best job with the news we have. Article penned by @FPLHindsight(Drop him a follow on Twitter)
