FPL GW14 Tips | Transfer Trends
Transfer Trends | GW14

The most transferred in player ahead of FPL GW14 is Newcastle’s Almiron. After delivering two back-to-back 10-pointers, he gained the trust of 553k managers. Next on the list was Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne with around 200k managers bringing him in ahead of FPL GW14.

The most transferred out player ahead of GW14 is yet again Mo Salah, with around 230k managers losing the faith in him. Zaha is also seen on the list, as he yet again turns out to be a FPL trap. Jesus is a surprise on that list with the GW14 fixture vs Forest at home.

Transfer Combination 1:

Zaha (7.6m) to Saka (8.0m)

FPL GW14 Tips - Best Transfer Combinations Zaha to Saka

The first transfer combination in the list ahead of FPL GW14 is the switch from Zaha to Saka. A lot of managers have been losing their patience with Zaha, and they are looking to move him on for better options available in the midfield spor like Foden and Saka.

Arsenal go on to face Nottingham Forest in GW14, which is one of the best, if not the best fixture to play against for a team in the PL. Arsenal are at the top of the league table right now, and their performances so far this season have been impeccable. Therefore, the next three fixtures are good enough to bring their assets in.

Underlying Numbers

Average Statistic per 90 minsWilfried ZahaBukayo Saka
Expected Goals0.390.35

Shots on Target1.330.83
Shots in Box2.151.85
Expected Assists0.130.10
Attempted Assists1.131.85
Big Chance Created0.200.09

The underlying numbers registered by both the players have been extremely close this season so far. Both have amazing stats for the bracket they belong to. So far this season, Saka has an xG per 90 of 0.35 and 1.85 attempted assits.

Player Heatmap Comparison

By looking at the the heatmaps, we can see that the Saka moves inside the box from the right flank a lot more, as compared to Zaha from the left flank. Moreover, we can see Zaha dropping and contributing to their defence more than Saka, explaining his low returns.

Fixture Analysis | Arsenal

FPL GW14 Tips | Fixtures

Two of Arsenal’s next three fixtures are Nottingham Forest at home and Wolves away. With the form Arsenal have been in this season, managers are looking to bring him in, ahead of this run. NFO are 2nd from bottom in terms of xGC conceded over the past five weeks.

Saka is also a good captaincy option with Haaland being a doubt for GW14.

Transfer Combination 2:

James (5.9m) to Dalot (4.7m)

FPL GW14 Tips - Best Transfer Combinations James to Dalot

The second best transfer combination ahead of FPL GW14 is Chelsea’s Reece James to Diogo Dalot. While James is expected to be out until the World Cup, Dalot has been giving fairly consistent returns so far this season.

The move from James to Dalot also frees up a lot of money that managers could invest elsewhere in their teams. Moreover, there aren’t many great options in defence to go for, and Dalot has an ownership of just 10 per cent.

Underlying Numbers

Average Statistic per 90 minsReece JamesDalot
Expected Goals0.090.05
Shots1.130.82
Shots on Target0.320.27
Shots in Box0.480.55
Goal Assists0.160.09
Expected Assists0.240.10
Attempted Assists1.451.37
Big Chance Created0.320.09

For a player priced at just 4.7m, he has decent underlying stats to back his performances. He has an attempted assist of 1.37 per 90 minutes, and averaging an xA per 90 of 0.10 so far.

Player Heatmap Comparison

Although James’ heatmap presence is decent, his injury forces managers to transfer him out this week. Dalot can be seen in more central areas rather than just hugging the sidelines. He not only has possibilities of getting attacking returns, but has been getting clean sheets as well as United look solid defensively as well.

Transfer Combination 3:

Mount (7.7m) to Almiron (5.4m)

FPL GW14 Tips - Best Transfer Combinations Mount to Almiron

The next best transfer combination is the transferring out Mason Mount for Magpie’s Almiron. Almiron delivered two back to back 10 pointers, in the past two weeks. Moreover, Newcastle’s have been amazing so far, and their assets have always been on watchlist of many FPL managers.

Chelsea’s performances have also been sluggish lately and is not worth holding on to their assets, especially when there are many players with better form with bright fixtures on the verge as well.

Underlying Numbers

Average Statistic per 90 minsMason MountAlmirón
Expected Goals0.210.32
Shots2.042.77
Shots on Target0.450.80
Shots in Box1.581.88
Goal Assists0.230.00
Expected Assists0.160.05
Big Chance Created0.230.00

Almiron’s numbers have been exemplary so far this season, even so that he has posted better shooting stats than Mount. He has an xG of 0.32 per 90 minutes and 0.8 shots on target every 90 minutes. He provides amazing value, as he has 12.4 points per million. His ownership has been rapidly rising and could also help managers increase their team value.

Player Heatmap Comparison

Even from the heatmap, we can see Almiron being more involved in Newcastle’s attack, as compared to Mount in Chelsea’s. Mount, after his two out of the blue hauls, have been somewhat silent in terms of his output. Moreover, Almiron is also plays a more central role in their attack and have potential for more returns in the upcoming gameweeks.

Fixtures | Newcastle

Newcastle’s next three fixtures are decent enough to take a punt on a 5.4m asset. They face Villa and Southampton in the next two gameweeks, after which they go against Chelsea.

Conclusion – FPL GW14 Tips

  • This is a good week for captaining a differential with Haaland a doubt for next week.
  • With just three weeks remaining for World Cup, it could be worth going for Differentials to help gain ranks.
  • United have been putting up great performances lately, and their midfielders could be great options for the next three weeks.
  • Arsenal assets could be great captaincy options this week, as they go on to face Nottingham Forest.
  • It could be worth giving Salah one more week – and in case if you are looking to replace him, KDB seems to be the best option to for in the bracket.
