All Premier League Teams Predicted GW6 Lineups

Arsenal

Further to the two injuries Arsenal picked up prior to the Fulham game, Arsenal were dealt another blow as Elneny was ruled out for a number of weeks. As such, Lokonga had his start of the season. Thomas Partey will remain out for the fixture against Man United so Lokonga will keep his place in the side. The other notable absentee from the last two games was Zinchenko who is still not training according to Arteta and Kieran Tierney could play once again.

Ramsdale will be assessed before the game but should be fine.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted all 11 starters correctly last week)

Arsenal GW6 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Arsenal GW6 Predicted lineup:

Ramsdale

White – Saliba – Gabriel – Tierney

Xhaka – Lokonga – Odegaard

Saka – Jesus – Martinelli

Injury Update(02/09/2022)

Arteta says Ramsdale and Odegaard are being assessed but hopes they will be available. Zinchenko still not training.

Arteta says Arsenal are “talking months” for Elneny’s absence. Weeks for Partey. via James Benge from Twitter

Aston Villa

It was a case of another game and another host of changes from Stephen Gerrard. After being left out against West Ham, Ramsey, Mings and Buendia all came in. Though they lost again, it was a more promising performance from Villa so for the first time this season, they may remain unchanged.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Aston Villa GW6 Predicted Formation

  • 4-3-1-2

Aston Villa GW6 Predicted Lineup:

Martinez

Cash – Mings – Konsa – Digne

Kamara – McGinn – Ramsey

Buendia

Bailey – Watkins

Aston Villa injury update:

Carlos is a long-term absentee and new signing Dendoncker is likely to miss out.

Bournemouth

The most notable selection for Bournemouth following Scott Parker’s sacking was that of Neto coming in for Travers in goal. Unless a new manager comes in between now and when they play Nottingham Forest, he should keep his place.

Bournemouth also decided to go to a back 4 and the fact that they kept a clean sheet, all be it against a lackluster Wolves side, should mean that they persist with the set up and personnel.

Last week’s success rate: 7/11 (We predicted 7 starters correctly last week)

Bournemouth GW6 Predicted formation

  • 4-3-3

Bournemouth GW6 Predicted lineup:

Neto

Smith – Mepham – Kelly – Zemura

Cook – Lerma – Christie

Tavernier Solanke – Billing

PC/ Injury Update(02/09/2022)

Joe Rothwell is still out and Ben Pearson will be missing as well with interim boss Gary O’Neil adding that they are not sure on his diagnosis and a clear picture will emerge in a few days.

Brighton

Injury to Adam Lallana has meant that Graham Potter has decided to change shape and go to a back 4. With the midfielder out for a while, we can presume this will remain the case for the foreseeable future.

Danny Welbeck missed out but that would simply have been in order to manage him given his history with injuries and he should return for the Leicester match on Sunday.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Brighton GW6 Predicted formation

  • 3-4-1-2

Brighton GW6 Predicted lineup:

Sanchez

Veltman – Webster – Dunk

March – MacAllister – Caicedo – Pervis estupiñan

Gross – Trossard

Welbeck

PC/ Injury Update(02/09/2022)

Lallana is out, Veltman is fine and Sarmiento is back in training.

“Joel’s fine and Jeremy trained today. “Adam Lallana’s progressing well, but probably won’t be back this side of the international break – although you never know.”

Brentford

Thomas Frank made a few changes for Brentford’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace. Notably, Keane Lewis-Potter came in with Dasilva dropping out but the fact that the latter replaced the former with 30 minutes to go should mean that he goes back in to the team.

Wissa, who has been in and out of the team, should also start after scoring the equaliser.

Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted 8 starters correctly last week)

Brentford GW6 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Brentford GW6 Predicted lineup:

Raya

Hickey – Jansson – Mee – Henry

Janlet – Jensen

Dasilva

Mbeumo – Toney – Wissa

PC/ Injury Update(02/09/2022)

Christian Norgaard will miss Brentford’s game against Leeds with an achilles injury and is set to be out for “weeks.” Club captain Pontus Jansson is fit again after a minor foot issue and should go straight back into the starting XI.

Kristoffer Ajer is “knocking on the door” to feature for Brentford against Leeds United tomorrow. 24yo centre-back underwent hamstring surgery in the summer and has not played this season yet. He featured for the B Team against Bournemouth U21s on Wednesday.

Quote from Jay Harris

Norgaard is out for a while but Janson is back, Ajer is also close after building match fitness.

Chelsea

A few hours before the FPL deadline, Reece James was rumoured to be out for the Southampton match and that speculation was proved correct. By all accounts the absence was just a precaution so he should be fine to play against West Ham.

The signing of Wesley Fofana was confirmed shortly after the loss to Southampton. The scathing comments from Thomas Tuchel about his team’s performance after the match should mean that Fofana slots straight in to the team. Having played twice in four days, Thiago Silva could step out.

Ben Chillwell also came on with 20 minutes to go, maybe with a view to building up his match fitness. If Chelsea go to a back three, Cucurella could slot in as the left centre back with Chilwell occupying left wing back.

Reece James should start at right wing-back rather than at right centre back where he has played recently.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Chelsea GW6 Predicted formation:

  • 3-4-1-2

Chelsea GW6 Predicted lineup:

Mendy,

Koulibaly – Fofana – Cucurella

Reece James – Kovacic – Jorginho – Chilwell

Mount

Sterling – Havertz

PC/ Injury Update(02/09/2022)

Reece James and RLC are back after training and will be available for selection.

Crystal Palace

The headline news for Crystal Palace was the absence of Mitchell who had a knock in GW5 and was presumably not risked for this match. Joel Ward filled in but I’d be surprised if he started against Newcastle.

Michael Olise also received his first start of the season and should continue to play in the side. Edouard may too come in at the expense of Mateta who was taken off early.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Crystal Palace GW6 Predicted Formation

  • 4-3-3

Crystal Palace GW6 Predicted lineup:

Guaita

Clyne – Guehi – Anderson – Mitchell

Schlupp – Doucoure

Olise – Eze – Zaha

Edouard

PC/Injury Updates(02/09/22):

No fresh injury concerns for Palace.

Everton

In the absence of Mason Holgate, Frank Lampard decided not to put Michael Keane into the back three and instead go to a back 4. Tom Davies came in to partner Onana and Iwobi in the midfield. An improved performance against Leeds compared to recent matches should mean that the same formation is deployed against Liverpool.

Rather cruelly, Neil Maupay was not allowed to start due to the bank holiday meaning he couldn’t be registered in time but he should go straight in now that he is available. One of McNeill or Gray will probably be benched and my instinct says it will be the former.

Everton completed the signing of James Garner on deadline day, and he should go into the team long-term, but I’d be surprised if he were handed a start straight away, particularly given the small matter of Liverpool up next.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Everton GW6 Predicted formation

  • 4-2-3-1

Everton GW6 Predicted lineup

Pickford

Paterson – Tarkowski – Coady – Mykolenko

Onana – Iwobi – Davies

Gray – Gordon

Maupay

PC/Injury Updates(02/09/22):

Maupay and Gueye will be in the squad. Doucoure is back in training. No Holgate, Mina, Godfrey and DCL still for Everton.

Fulham

Fulham continued their impressive start to the season with a 2-1 win over Brighton. With the team so cohesive at this stage, they should once again remain unchanged.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted all 11 starters correctly last week)

Fulham GW6 Predicted formation:

  • 4-2-3-1

Fulham GW6 Predicted lineup:

Leno

Tete -Tosin – Ream – Robinson,

Palhinha – H Reed

B Reid – Andreas – Kebano

Mitrovic

PC/Injury news(02/09/22)

No new concerns and Willian could be in the squad to face Spurs as he has been training with Fulham for a few weeks now.

Leeds United

In concerning news for both Leeds fans and FPL managers, Rodrigo went off with what appeared to be a dislocated shoulder in the 1-1 draw against Everton. In his pre-match press conference ahead of the weekend, Jessie Marsh confirmed that he would be out until after the international break. Marsh also hinted that Bamford and Gelardth could play up front together in Rodrigo’s absence saying “That’s definitely something we are looking at”. That being said, I think it’d be harsh to drop any of the three forwards besides Rodrigo so Bamford may just come in.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted all 11 starters correctly last week)

Leeds United GW6 Predicted formation:

  • 4-2-3-1

Leeds United GW6 Predicted lineup:

 Meslier

Kristensen – Llorente – Koch – Struijk

Adams, Roca,

Sinisterra – Aaronson – Harrison

Bamford

PC/Injury updates(01/09/22)

“Injuries – Rodrigo. As good as it can be when it pops out. Does not need surgery. Three to four weeks calm down, maybe longer or shorter. Feels good, feels confident he will be ready fairly soon. Targeting after the international break

Leicester City

Brendan Rogers made one rather curious selection, as he opted for Wilfried Ndidi in the centre of defence instead of Dan Amartey with Soumare coming into the midfield. Luke Thomas also came in for Castagne but I imagine that was more of a rotational move rather than a permanent switch.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 8 starters correctly last week)

Leicester City GW6 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Leicester City GW6 Predicted lineup:

Ward

Castagne – Ndidi – Evans – Justin

Soumare – Tielemans – Dewsbury-Hall

Maddison – Vardy – Barnes

Liverpool

As expected, Liverpool went in unchanged after their 9-0 mauling of Bournemouth. The only real possible change this weekend may come courtesy of the returning Darwin Nunez.

That being said, the most likely sacrifice for him would be Firmino who has been playing really well so Klopp may decide against altering a winning formula.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted all 11 starters correctly last week)

Liverpool GW6 Predicted formation

  • 4-3-3

Liverpool GW6 Predicted lineup:

Allison

Alexander Arnold – Van Dijk – Matip – Robertson

Milner – Fabinho – Eliott

Salah – Firmino – Diaz

PC/Injury Update:

Thiago set to return to full training at start of next week. Konate expected back around the international break.

Klopp on having Darwin Nunez back available after his ban: “He learned the lesson! He’s in really good shape. Looks really settled now.” Diogo Jota trained with the squad for the first time yesterday and could be in the matchday squad.

Ramsay and Thiago close for Liverpool. Ox a long term absentee with a muscle injury

Klopp on Henderson scan: “We’re waiting for the results. He’s definitely out (of the derby).”

New signing Arthur not expected to feature this weekend in the early KO.

Manchester City

It was assumed that Pep Guardiola would rotate for this game but the rotation wasn’t as brutal as many may have feared. The only high-profile non-starter was Kevin De Bruyne who should now be assured of starting against Aston Villa. After speculation about whether he would start against Forest, Erling Haaland more than made his mark in the 68 minutes he was on the pitch. The fact that he was taken off early may have people convinced of him starting against Villa. Pep’s comments make it even more promising that Haaland will start again.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Manchester City GW6 Predicted formation

  • 4-2-3-1

Manchester City GW6 Predicted lineup:

Ederson

Walker – Dias -Stones – Cancelo,

Rodri – Gundogan,

B Silva – De Bruyne – Foden

Haaland

PC/Injury Updates(02/09/22)

Aymeric Laporte could be ready to return to ManCity action after the international break, Pep Guardiola confirms.

Nathan Ake and Jack Grealish trained with the Man City squad yesterday. Kalvin Phillips was absent, confirms Pep Guardiola. Further assessment will be made today, but they are ‘close’ to coming back.

Manchester United

Man United went with an unchanged 11 from that which beat Southampton, despite popular belief that Casemiro would start. I’d imagine his absence from the starting lineup can only have been down to him not having the requisite match fitness so he should come in for McTominay when they play Arsenal.

New signing Anthony will almost certainly come in eventually but Sunday may come too soon for his first start.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Manchester United GW6 Predicted formation:

  • 4-2-3-1

Manchester United GW6 Predicted lineup:

De Gea

Dalot – Martinez – Varane – Malacia

Eriksen – Casemiro

Rashford – Bruno – Sancho

Elanga

Newcastle United

As expected, Alexander Isak came straight into the side and made an immediate impact as he scored on his debut. Newcastle also made a change in the defence with Lascelles coming in as did Ryan Fraser further forward for Saint-Maximin who was left out with a slight injury. Saint-Maximin should be back for the clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday. Botman should come back into the defence and the same can be expected for Fabian Schar.

There is still some uncertainty surrounding the fitness of Bruno Guimaraes with Eddie Howe suggesting that he could be in contention. His importance to the side may mean that, even if he is only 80% fit, he will probably play. If he doesn’t Longstaff should take his place. If ASM is out Fraser will play in his place.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Newcastle United GW6 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Newcastle United GW6 Predicted lineup:

Pope

Trippier Botman – Schar – Burn

Willock – Bruno Guimares – Joelinton

Almiron – Isak – ASM

PC/Injury Updates(02/09/22)

ASM and Bruno Guimares are close but Wilson will not be available. Isak should recover from the dead leg that he suffered vs Liverpool.

“Bruno and Maxi are close. They weren’t serious injuries but we’ll wait and see whether they’re available for this weekend.”

Eddie Howe on Alexander Isak: “The players have taken to him. He’s quite quiet and he’s going about his business in a professional way – he’s very focused. He’s asking questions about how we want to play and what’s required of him – he’s been excellent.”

Nottingham Forest

After making a whole host of changes to the team, Steve Cooper was rewarded with his team being dismantled by a merciless City attack. Renan Lodi, coming in at left wing-back suffered a torrid time so he may drop out temporarily, even though he should eventually be the first choice. Ryan Yates continued in midfield in the absence of Mangala and Cooper confirmed in his pre-match press conference for Bournemouth that Mangala is still out so we can expect that midfield should stay the same.

Elsewhere, Jessie Lingard was benched after a few subpar performances as we predicted. One of he or Awoniyi should come in for debutant Remo Freuler. The fact that it was Awoniyi who came on with half an hour to go could mean that he gets the nod over Lingard.

Steve Cook was also rested for another new signing Cheikhou Kouyate but he too should come back in.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Nottingham Forest GW6 Predicted formation:

  • 3-4-3

Nottingham Forest GW6 Predicted lineup

Henderson

Worrall – Cook – McKenna

Williams – O’Brien -Colback – Lodi

Awiyoni – Johnson – Gibbs White

Injury/PC Updates(01/09/22):

No fresh injury concerns for Forest as confirmed by Cooper.

Southampton

In rather concerning news for Southampton, Romeo Lavia was taken off injured early in the second half. Ibrahima Diallo came in to the midfield after Joe Aribo was rested, but Diallo may now stay in the team in Lavia’s absence.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)

Southampton GW6 Predicted formation

  • 4-2-2-2

Southampton GW6 Predicted lineup:

Bazunu

Walker-Peters – Bella-Kotchap – Salisu – Perraud

Diallo – Ward Prowse

Aribo – Elyounoussi

Armstrong – Adams

PC/Injury Updates(02/09/22)

Lavia is out for a minimum of six weeks after a hamstring injury. Duje Ćaleta-Car, Hasenhüttl revealed, is set to miss the weekend trip to Wolves, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Samuel Edozie and Juan Larios all available to play.

Tottenham

In what came as a bit of a surprise, Antonio Conte decided to stick to the same starting 11 for West Ham. Many, myself included, had predicted Son to drop out for Richarlison due to his poor form and Richarlison making a positive impact every time he has come on. In spite of that, Son started and he was once more far from his best so I’m going to predict that same change to be made again.

Elsewhere, Ivan Perisic has now started three consecutive games and Tottenham play twice in the next 7 days. As such, Ryan Sessegnon could step in against Fulham.

It’s a close call regarding Perisic/Sessegnon, watch out for Paul O Keefe’s predicted lineup as he’s very reliable with the Spurs predicted lineup. (Link to his Twitter)

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Spurs GW6 Predicted formation:

  • 3-4-3

Spurs GW6 Predicted lineup:

Lloris

Dier – Sanchez – Davies

Emerson – Bentancur -Hojbjerg – Sessegnon

Kulusevski – Kane – Richarlison

PC/Injury Updates(02/09/22)

Conte on injury news: “Team news…Cuti Romero is in the squad. Training session with us after game against West Ham. In the squad, Lucas Moura and Gil still not available for game against Fulham. Bentancur is ok.”

West Ham

West Ham’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham Wednesday was their second positive result of the week after they pulled off the signing of Lucas Paqueta a day earlier. Indeed, Paqueta came on and impressed so he should go straight into the 11. It’s anybody’s guess as to who drops out.

Although Bowen hasn’t been performing up to last season’s standards thus far, Moyes seems wedded to playing him and that’s understandable to an extent. As such, it’s probably one of Fornals or Benrahma who drops out. Given that Benrahma is often the first player hooked, I’d expect it to be him.

Scamacca missed the match through illness so Antonio started the match but I’d expect the Italian to be the number one striker from now on.

After only being a substitute in this match, Emerson could also come in for Aaron Cresswell.

Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

West Ham GW6 Predicted Formation

  • 3-4-3

West Ham GW6 Predicted lineup:

Fabianski

Coufal – Kehrer – Zouma – Emerson

Rice – Soucek – Paqueta

Bowen – Scamacca – Fornals

PC/Injury Updates(02/09/22)

“Ben Johnson is not available and we’re still waiting to see how Gianluca Scamacca is and how Aaron Cresswell is. It’ll be a late decision for both of them.”

David Moyes from his pre chelsea PC

Wolves

Wolves were unable to break down a Bournemouth defence hardly known for its solidity. Bruno Lage may well opt to change things up a bit. Daniel Podence could come into the front three.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Wolves GW6 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Wolves GW6 Predicted lineup:

Sa

Semedo – Kilman – Collins – Jonny

Neves – Nunes – Moutinho

Guedes – Jimenez – Neto

PC/Injury Updates(02/09/22)

No new injury concerns with the full squad available except for Chiquinho as confirmed by Lage.
