Leeds United

Fixtures: Brentford(A), Forest(H), Manchester United(A)

Next time on our list is Leeds United. The Lily Whites are 6th in the table right now, having won 2 and drawn 2 of their games. Here are players that you can target from Leeds United from the gameweeks 6 to 8.

Jack Harrison £6.1 Million

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Jack Harrison

The first player on the Leeds United player list is Jack Harrison. Despite his great form, Harrison has gone under the radar. In five games this season, he has scored once and assisted thrice. His non-penalty xG stands at 0.91, while his xA stands at 2.29.

He averages around 39.8 touches in the final third, 52.3 in the opposition’s half and 4.3 touches in the opposition’s box. He also averages around 0.92 shots from inside the box per 90.

He has also created 14 chances and 4 big chances this season. His assist potential is even higher considering the fact that he is on corners for Leeds United.

Priced at just 6.1 million with an ownership of just 4.5%, Jack Harrison is player with great potential to target for the FPL gameweeks 6 to 8.

Brenden Aaronson £5.5

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Brenden Aaronson

The second Leeds United player on the list in Brenden Aaronson. The American has been a great player for Leeds so far, however has failed to convert his great work rate into fpl points.

The American has scored one goal and given one assist so far, with his non-penalty xG stands at 1.18, while his xA stands at 0.26.

He averages around 26.3 touches in the final third, 37.3 in the opposition’s half and 3.3 touches in the opposition’s box. He also averages around 0.65 shots from inside the box per 90.

He has also created 6 chances this season.

Aaronson vs Harrison:

  • xG: 1.18 vs 0.78
  • xGi: 1.44 vs 1.58
  • xA: 0.26 vs 0.80
  • Sib: 3 vs 4
  • Touches in opponent half (p90): 34.4 vs 48.2
  • Touches in final third (p90): 24.2 vs 36.6
  • Penalty area touches (p90): 3 vs 4
  • Chances Created: 6 vs 14
  • Big Chances Created: 0 vs 4

Sinisterra

Sinisterra got his full league start in GW5 against Everton and returned with a goal and 10 points in just 63 minutes. Rodrigo’s replacement can be a direct replacement from Leeds considering how good they are in attack this season. Next 2 games are against Brentford and Forest who rank 15th and 20th worst for shots conceded this season.

Newcastle United

Fixtures: Crystal Palace(H), West Ham(A), Bournemouth(H)

Like Brentford, Newcastle have also had a mixed start to their season. In five games this season, they have won one lost one and drawn the rest. The highlight of their season being the 3-3 draw vs Manchester City.

Alexander Isak

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Isak

We start off our list of Newcastle players by looking at their newest signing, Alexander Isak. Isak started his premier league career with a goal against Liverpool at Anfield. Safe to say the expectations are high on the young talent.

Last season in the La Liga, Isak averaged an xG of 0.46 per 90 and npxG + xA of 0.49 per 90. He averaged 1.35 shots per 90, with 45.1% of his shots being on target. He also created 2.51 shot-creating actions and 0.21 goal-creating actions per 90.

He is a credible threat in the box, averaging around 5.85 touches in the opposition penalty box. He is currently priced at around 7 million and has an ownership of 1.2%.

Kieran Trippier

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Trippier

Probably the best asset in the Newcastle squad is ex-Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier. The right-back scored once this season but is yet to provide an assist.

He has an xG of 0.09 and xA of 0.32. He averages around 40 touches in the opposition half, 2.7 touches in the final third. He has made 35 crosses this season, averaging almost 9 per game. His assist potential is high and with Alexander Isak joining the squad, we can see him achieve that potential soon.

He is also on corner duty for Newcastle United.

Nick Pope

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Nick Pope

Newcastle’s Nick Pope has been a reliable FPL asset for the past few seasons and even with a price tag of 5 million, he is still a very good player to have in your squad.

In the four games he has played this season, he has kept 2 clean sheets and made 15 saves. His large number of saves means he is a bonus point magnet.

Newcastle’s defence looks pretty solid this season and Nick Pope looks like a solid investment to make, especially because he is owned by only 6.2% of players and could prove to be a major differential in the gameweeks 6 to 8.

Nottingham Forest

Fixtures: Bournemouth(H), Leeds United (A) and Fulham (H)

The next team on your list is the newly promoted Nottingham Forest. Currently fourteenth in the table, gameweeks 6 to 8 see Nottingham Forest host two of the newly promoted teams in Bournemouth and Fulham.

Here are a few players you can target for your team from FPL gameweek 6 to 8.

Neco Williams

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Neco Williams

Forest’s Neco Williams has been pretty impressive this season for the newly promoted team. Before their gameweek 5 fixture against Manchester City, Williams was the third highest for xGi , behind only Reece James and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

He currently has an xG of 0.64 and an xA of 0.56. He has averaged 37.25 touches in opponents’ half per 90 and 24 touches in the final third. He also averages around 2.75 touches in the penalty box per 90!

Williams has had a mammoth 11 attempts at goal this season, with six of them coming from inside the box and three of those 11 being on target. He has also created 6 chances and 1 big chance.

He is also sharing corner-taking duties with Morgan Gibbs White. Could we see him haul anytime soon?

Dean Henderson

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Dean Henderson

Forest’s signing of Dean Henderson has turned out to be quite a fruitful one. The Manchester United loanee has already saved 2 penalties for the newly promoted premier league team.

He has made 25 saves in the first five games for Forest making him, like Pope, a magnet for bonus points. He is also the highest scoring goalkeeper right now. If Forest are able to sort out their defence, Dean Henderson could be an important player going into FPL gameweeks 6 to 8.

Morgan Gibbs-White

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Morgan Gibbs-White

The next player in the list in Morgan Gibbs-White. The ex-Wolves player has some good underlying stats despite not being able to put points on the board.

His xG stands at 0.88, while his xA is at 0.53. He averages around 40.8 touches in the opposition half, 28.8 in the final third and 2.52 in the penalty box per game. He has also had 3 shots out of his 6 from inside the box.

He has created 3 chances and shares corner duties with Neco Williams. Despite being listed as a midfielder, we have seen him being used as a striker, adding to his 5.5 million value and 0.2% ownership.

Brighton and Hove Albion

Fixtures: Leicester City(H), Bournemouth(A) and Crystal Palace(H)

Currently 4th in the table, Brighton have enjoyed a really good start to the season. They have won 3 of their five games, drawn one and lost one. With good fixtures continuing for them, could we see them keep this form up? Here are some players from Brighton you can target for your team for the gameweeks 6 to 8.

Pascal Gross

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Gross

One of the surprise performers of this season has been Pascal Gross. The midfielder currently has 3 goals and 1 assist in 5 games and looks to continue his performance with some of his underlying stats.

His xG currently stands at 1.91, while his xA stands at 1.08. He averages 39.4 touches in the opponent half, 28 in the final third and around 3.4 in the penalty box per 90. He has had around 7 goal attempts this season, with 5 of them coming from inside the box.

He also been involved in 3 big chances, where he has clinically scored 2 of them. He also has high assist potential, creating 9 chances and 3 big chances, while also being on corner duty.

Priced at just 5.8 million, Gross is one of the must have players to have in your team right now, especially in the gameweeks 6 to 8.

Leandro Trossard

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Trossard

Next player on our list is Brighton’s Trossard. The Belgian currently has one goal and one assist this season.

His xG currently stands at 1.18, while his xA stands at 0.67. He averages 33.8 touches in the opponent half, 26 in the final third and around 6.7 in the penalty box per 90. He has had around 12 goal attempts this season, with 10 of them coming from inside the box.

He has also created 7 chances for Brighton, while scoring the only big chance that was created for him.

Here is how he compares to Gross this season: (Gross vs Trossard)

  • Goals: 3 vs 1
  • Assists: 1 vs 1
  • xG: 1.91 vs 1.18
  • xA: 1.08 vs 0.67
  • Sib: 5 vs 10
  • Touches in opponent half (p90): 39.4 vs 30.4
  • Touches in final third (p90): 28 vs 23.4
  • Penalty area touches (p90): 3.4 vs 6
  • Chances Created: 9 vs 7
  • Big Chances Created: 3 vs 0

Priced at 6.5 million, if Trossard is able to convert his underlying brilliance into fpl points, he can be a great player to have in your team from gameweeks 6 to 8. Owned by only 2.7% of players he can be a great diffrential going forward.

Robert Sanchez

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Rob Sanchez

Brighton have been really good defensively this season, keeping 3 clean sheets in their five games. They have also allowed only 3 goals to be scored against them this season.

Sanchez, of course, gives you a easy route into this brilliant Brighton team’s defence. Not only has he kept 3 clean sheets, but also made 13 saves. Priced at just 4.7 million with a ownership of 17.3%, Sanchez can be a brilliant keeper to have in your team going forward.

Brentford

Fixtures: Leeds (H), Southampton (A), Arsenal (H)

We will start this article off by looking at Brentford. Currently ninth in the table, Brentford have had a decent start to the season. Their highlight, of course, being the 4-0 win against Manchester United. Here are some of their players you can target from gameweeks 6 to 8.

Ivan Toney

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Ivan Toney

Ivan Toney is probably Brentford’s best fantasy option. The 26-year-old has started the season off quite well, scoring 2 and assisting 2. His non-penalty xG stands at 1.90, while his xA stands at 0.74.

He averages around 18.6 touches in the final third, 28.2 in the opposition’s half and 5 touches in the opposition’s box. He also averages around 1.8 shots from inside the box per 90.

He also has high assist potential, having already created 10 chances and 4 big chances. He is also Brentford’s first-choice penalty taker. Currently priced at 7.2 million with an ownership of 18.3%, Toney is a great player to target for gameweeks 6 to 8.

Mathias Jensen and Joshua Dasilva

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Jensen

The next two players on this list of players to target for gameweeks 6 to 8 are Mathias Jensen and Joshua Dasilva. The reason why I have put them together is that they play in very comparable roles and positions.

Dasilva has two goals, while Jensen has one goal and two assists. Jensen is more expensive at 5.1 million and is also more nailed compared to Dasilva, however, Dasilva has a higher ownership compared to Jensen. Dasilva is owned by 10.4% of players, while Jensen is owned by only 3.4%.

Here is how they compare in other statistics: (Jensen vs Dasilva)

  • xG: 0.34 vs 0.22
  • xGi: 1.01 vs 0.40
  • xA: 0.67 vs 0.18
  • Sib: 1 vs 2
  • Touches in opponent half (p90): 34.2 vs 26
  • Touches in final third (p90): 19.8 vs 17.4
  • Penalty area touches (p90): 0.8 vs 1.4
  • Chances Created: 9 vs 1
  • Big Chances Created: 2 vs 0

Southampton

Fixtures: Wolves (A), Brentford (H), Aston Villa (A)

Currently 8th in the table, Southampton have enjoyed a mixed start to their season. They have won twice, drawn twice and lost once in their five games. The highlight of their season of course being the 2-1 win over Chelsea. Here are a few players you can target from Southampton from the gameweeks 6 to 8:

Adam Armstrong

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Adam Armstrong

The striker has scored 1 goal and 1 assist this season and would be hoping to build up on that in the upcoming favourable fixtures from gameweeks 6 to 8.

His xG stands at 0.4, while his xA stands at 0.48. He averages 22.49 touches in the opponent half, 15.4 in the final third and around 3.6 in the penalty box per 90. He has had around 4 goal attempts this season, with 2 of them coming from inside the box.

He has also created 3 chances and 1 big chance this season.

Could we see him build on his stats and really perform from gameweeks 6 to 8? Priced at just 5.5 million, he could be a good enabler going forward this season.

Che Adams

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Che Adams

Che Adams has scored 2 goals this season for Southampton and with Adam Armstrong is the only other worthy candidate from Southampton.

His xG stands at 1.11, while his xA stands at 0.28. He averages 31.9 touches in the opponent half, 25.07 in the final third and around 7.16 in the penalty box per 90. He has had around 9 goal attempts this season, with 8 of them coming from inside the box.

He has also created 5 chances and 1 big chance this season, while scoring both the big chances created for him.

Manchester City

Fixtures: Aston Villa(A), Tottenham(H), Wolves(A)

The last team on our list is none other than the current premier league champions, Manchester City. They have scored the most goals this season and conceded the second least. Are they on the verge of winning another title this season?

Erling Haaland

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Haaland

First player on the Manchester City player list is none other than the current leading goalscorer Erling Haaland. If you don’t have Haaland in your team, are you even playing this game correctly? He has scored 9 goals this season and assisted one.

His xG stands at 5.54, while his xA stands at 0.48.

His only role in the game is to pounce on to those chances that his teammates create for him. He doesn’t have many touches of the ball other than the shots he takes. He averages 18.1 touches in the opponent half, 14.4 in the final third and around 8.14 in the penalty box per 90.

However, the number of shots he takes is well above your average fpl striker. He has had around 22 goal attempts this season, with 21 of them coming from inside the box. He has also scored 9 of the 13 big chances created for him.

He has created 2 chances and 2 big chances this season and is also on penalties for Manchester City. However, he might get rotated as the fixture get more and more congested for Man City.

Despite his xMins being an issue, he is a must-have for any and every fpl team.

KDB vs Cancelo vs Phil Foden

FPL Players to Target from fpl gameweek 6 to 8 ~ Cancelo

When it comes to the other Manchester City assest, people are always confused between Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and Cancelo. Let’s compare the three and see where they all stand:

KDB vs Cancelo vs Foden:

  • Mins played: 377 vs 397 vs 366
  • Goals: 1 vs 1 vs 1
  • Assists: 3 vs 0 vs 2
  • xGi: 2.94 vs 0.44 vs 2.30
  • Sib: 5 vs 1 vs 5
  • Touches in opponent half (p90): 54.8 vs 61.2 vs 60.6
  • Touches in final third (p90): 40 vs 34.4 vs 45.07
  • Penalty area touches (p90): 2.8 vs 2 vs 5.2
  • Chances Created: 15 vs 3 vs 10
  • Big Chances Created: 5 vs 0 vs 2

Foden’s stats have been very close to those of De Bruyne this season. This makes you wonder that for a cheaper price if Foden is the better option compared to KDB? Also, we notice here that Cancelo’s numbers this season have dropped drastically. Time to move on from Cancelo?

These are our players to target for FPL gameweeeks 6 to 8. Who will you be bringing on?
