FPL GW6 Differential picks to consider ahead of Deadline | ALLABOUTFPL

GW5 has been such a delight for FPL managers with most of them getting a swift turn around in their fortunes. The average points returned reached 60 for the first time this season with most premiums returning in the form of Salah, Sterling, Son, Kane and Bruno Fernandes. While most of the managers are moving towards these Spurs picks, there are a few differentials which you must look ahead of FPL GW6.

As usual, our differential picks would be less than <10% TSB and they should help you improve your ranks ahead of FPL GW6.

FPL GW6 Differential Picks:

1. Raheem Sterling (£11.6 Mil) vs West Ham(A), TSB: 7.0%

Raheem Sterling FPL GW6 Differential
Sterling loves to play against West Ham and got a hattrick the last time he played against them in the london stadium

Sterling has silently continued his tremendous run from last season and has scored 20 points from the last 2 games. He has scored both of City’s goals in the last two games. Manchester City have just scored 7 goals from 4 games is under-par considering their lofty standards. But goals should be more in the coming days with the return of Aguero, which would also bring out the best out of Sterling- As a winger. He would be love to continue his scoring in FPL GW6 against one of his favorite sides.

Sterling in numbers:

  • Favorite opponents- 6 goals and 6 assists in 7 starts against West Ham
  • 36 penalty box touches this season- 3rd highest in the league
  • 2nd highest scoring FPL player since ‘Project Restart’ last season with 113 points, only behind Kane(114 points)

Aguero(2.0%) is another ultra differential pick to look forward to with his return from injury. But his minutes would be carefully managed as he has just returned from injury. Pep has also confirmed that Jesus would be out for months which means they can’t afford to lose Aguero again, would be withdrawn early if the win is secured.

2. Marcus Rashford (£9.5 Mil) vs Chelsea (H), TSB: 6.3%

Rashford had a little slow start this season with just one goal from the first 3 games. He returned to his usual self in GW5 combining brilliantly with Fernandes(10.5) to get 15 points (2 goals and an assist). Fresh from his Paris heroics, Rashford would be taking up a much central role against Chelsea this weekend in the absence of suspended Martial.

Marcus Rashford FPL GW6 Differential
Marcus has been in red hot form scoring goals vs Newcastle & PSG

Rashford stats when playing with Martial(GW2- GW4) vs Without Martial(GW5):

  • Shots/90- 1.00 vs 7.00
  • Shots inside the box/90- 0.67 vs 5.0
  • Big chances/90 mins- 0.33 vs 1.0
  • xG/90- 0.17 vs 1.01
  • xA/90- 0.08 vs 0.35

Even though the sample space is less to decide, it is well evident that Rashford gets the better scoring opportunities without Martial. In the last Premier League home fixture between these sides, Rashford scored a brace in a thumping 4-0 win. He would like continue his mid-week form and end the week on a high in FPL GW6 against Chelsea.

3. Neal Maupay (£6.6 Mil) vs West Brom(H), TSB:6.4%

Maupay Magic?

Brighton have shown other teams that they are not willing to sit back and defend this season. They are ready to attack against any team which is evident in their direct play- 7 big chances created(5th best), 52 key passes(5th best), xA- 6.36(5th best) despite playing United, Chelsea and Ecverton in this run. Maupay himself has had a great start with 34 points, 4 goals and an assist in 5 games averaging 6.8 points per game. West Brom is the perfect opposition for Brighton to translate this good football into valuable points.

Maupay- Stat attack:

  • 6 shots in GW5- Joint highest among forwards along with Kane
  • Up against a West Brom side who have conceded the most goals(13), worst xGC(11.25) in the league.
  • 5 big chances this season- 4th highest in the league

Trossard(6.0) is just owned by 2.3% of managers and could be a good ultra-differential choice for FPL GW6 against a leaky WBA defense.

4. Ross Barkley (£5.9 Mil) vs Leeds United (H), TSB: 2.4%

Man like Ross!

Villa are currently enjoying a 100% run in the league this season with four wins from 4, scoring 12 goals much to the surprise. Most managers have chosen Grealish(23.4%) as their Villa asset. Barkley has had a great start to his Villa career scoring against Liverpool and Leicester in both of his starts getting 18 points. But the question is ‘Is Barkley a cheaper route compared to Grealish?’

Grealish(7.2) vs Barkley(5.9) stats from the last 2 games:

  • Points: 27 vs 18
  • Shots: 3 vs 8
  • Shots inside the box: 2 vs 3
  • Big chances: 1 vs 1
  • xG- 0.70 vs 0.84
  • Goals- 2 vs 2
  • xA- 1.60 vs 0.22
  • Assists- 3 vs 0

Grealish stands out with 27 points and 3 assists. In fact, Grealish has 38 touches in the opponents box- 2nd highest only behind Salah(52). But Grealish is too unselfish and doesn’t take enough shots for the extra 1.3 million. Barkley(8) takes more than double the shots compared to Grealish(3). Barkley is definitely worth more than a shout due to the price, more central role and the willingness to have a go when space is provided.

5. Sergio Regulion (£5.5 Mil) vs Burnley(A), TSB: 2.9%

Settling in nicely

Spurs don’t have a cleansheet from the 5 games this season and have conceded 3 goals in the last 10 minutes against West Ham. But two of the three goals didn’t come from direct play and the other one was simply unstoppable! Mourinho would be absolutely furious and would command a much disciplined approach against Burnley in FPL GW6. Regulion got an assists against West Ham and would love to get the clean sheet in FPL GW6 against Burnley who have been awful in attack this season.

The numbers:

  • Up against a Burnley side who have scored just 3 goals(2nd worst), 4 big chances(2nd worst), xG- 4.03(2nd worst) only behind West Brom in the league.
  • Good fixtures for next 3 weeks- Burnley(A), Brighton(H), West Brom(A)
