AllaboutFPL Game Week 23 captain picks

FPL midfielders- Richarlison

The Midweek saw a lot of teams take part in the FA Cup and Cup schedule always makes it difficult for FPL managers to decide their teams as there are always chances for players to get rotated or unfortunately injured. The lack of rest also has chances to affect their performance and gives headaches to us who play the game. Here is a list of Captain Choices for FPL GW 23.

FPL GW 23 Captain choices – Forwards

Sergio Aguero vs Crystal Palace (H), 11.8 Mil TSB:13.6%

Another Aguero haul coming up?

Sergio Aguero showed us yet again why is the king by scoring a hattrick and breaking a couple of records in the process in City’s 6-1 win against a poor Villa side. He’s got almost as many goals (13) as Aubameyang and Rashford despite playing almost half of the minutes and we can never imagine what he would’ve done each season if not for injuries. Leicester’s defeat to Southampton means City are 2 points clear of them and 2nd place will be something Pep would want as bare minimum. Aguero is in great form and there’s very less chances he’ll be rested and he might prove to be very clinical against Crystal Palace at home.

2. Jamie Vardy vs Burnley (A) 10 Mil, TSB:50%

Jamie Vardy party to resume at turf moor?

Leicester were handed a shock defeat at home by a team they beat 9-0 away and this surely would be something Vardy and co. Would want to avoid at all costs again. They take on Burnley away from home and it’s no more the defensively strong Burnley side of the past 2 years. They’ve leaked a lot of goals and are the 4th highest in goals scored against (37). Vardy hasn’t scored for 2 games and he’s also missed 2 though having assisted in the last one. He’ll surely look to return to his goal-scoring form and this is a great test for him to do so.

3. Tammy Abraham vs Newcastle United (A) 7.8 Mil, TSB: 34.1%

Tammy looks to continue his goal scoring run

Chelsea face Newcastle away which is not the easiest of fixtures but they have Arsenal, Leicester, United and Tottenham next and will want to take all 3 points against Steve Bruce’s men. Tammy has been in good form this season with 13 goals and 4 assists and though Chelsea’s wingers play a big role in goals, Big Tammy is still relied upon to score and get those crucial points and he’ll look to be on target against Newcastle

4. Richarlison vs West Ham (A) 8.1 Mil, TSB:13.6%

The Brazilian looks to continue his fine form😎

It hasn’t been the best of starts for Richy but since Carlo Ancelotti took over, he’s been getting in good positions alongside Calvert Lewin and the strike duo have been doing well. He plays up top now and has scored 2 and assisted 1 in his last 3. West Ham under Moyes have scored a couple of goals but still are defensively week and Everton will try their best to take all 3 points with their strikers finishing chances. Richy’s assist potential is much better than Calvert Lewin and so he’ll be the better choice of the two.

5. Todd Cantwell vs Bournemouth (H), 4.8 Mil TSB: 24.3%

Cantwell at home is too hard to ignore!

Cantwell will sure not be the most picked captain at any day but he might be worth a punt. He has been great at home and has almost always returned. This Young English player will be getting more into the box as Pukki’s presence is still doubtful and he’s a decent finisher with great movement and will give defensively weak Bournemouth a lot of problems.
