Six Best FPL Forwards To Consider Ahead Of FPL Season Restart

Harry Kane

It has been a long time coming, but FPL is back and back with a bang. We have been given unlimited transfers ahead of FPL GW30+ deadline. That also gives us a headache to pick the right team for the rest of the season. Don’t worry, that is why we are here. In this blog we will give you a list of six of the best FPL forwards to consider before finalizing your front three:

Premium FPL forwards ahead of FPL GW30+

1. Harry Kane TSB- 8.6%, Price- 10.8

Harry Kane
Is Harry Kane going to rack up goals aplenty again?

Fixtures: Man Utd(H), WestHam(H), Sheffield Utd(A), Everton(H), Bournemouth (A)

Harry Kane is by far and away the best option among FPL forwards for the rest of the season. After their FPL GW30+ game against Manchester United, Spurs have none of their fixtures above 3 in FDR.

Before picking up his injury, Kane had scored 4 goals in 6 games, so he was finding his feet again. Now that Spurs have all of their key players fit, they will be looking to push for top 4 and Kane is likely to be at the forefront of things.

Another thing to note is the fact that Kane is one of very few FPL forwards to be guaranteed a place in the starting eleven of his side. So, he is definitely a safe pick too.

2. Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang TSB-27.6%, Price- 11.1

Aubameyang - Captain Pick
Aubameyang is a top pick for FPL forwards, baring in mind the double gameweek

Fixtures: ManCity(A), Brighton(A), Southampton(A), Norwich(H), Wolves(A)

Much like Kane, Aubameyang is another one of those FPL forwards who is likely to start every single game. For starters, Arsenal have a double gameweek coming up in GW30+. That in itself is enough of a reason to have Aubameyang in your side.

Furthermore, Aubameyang is a bonus point machine. No one has picked up more bonus points(29) this season than the Arsenal captain.

Arsenal rely heavily on their captain to step up away from home. To put it in numbers, 9 of his 17 goals have come on the road. In all Arsenal have scored 14 goals away from home, Aubameyang has been involved in 11 of them.

So the fact that Arsenal have all these away games coming up is the reason why you guys should pick the Gunner as one of your FPL forwards.

3. Sergio Aguero TSB- 18.2%, Price- 11.8

FPL forwards- Aguero
Aguero faces 4 of his favorite opponents in the next 4 games

Fixtures: Arsenal(H), Burnely(H), Chelsea(A), Liverpool(H), Southampton(A)

Similar to Aubameyang, Aguero also has a double gameweek coming up in GW30+. The Argentine has already scored 16 goals this season despite missing a fair chunk of games.

Interesting Numbers:

  1. Aguero has scored 8 goals and has had 2 assists in 13 Premier League games against Arsenal, including a hattrick in last season’s game at the Etihad.
  2. The City Striker has been involved in 12 goals against Chelsea(10 goals and 2 assists). in 14 appearances, including two hattricks.
  3. Every time, Liverpool visit the Etihad stadium, Kun Aguero has scored a goal.
  4. Man City’s record goalscorer also has 6 goals in 7 games against Burnley.

Statistically, Aguero is going up against 4 of his favorite oppositions in the next 4 fixtures. Make sure you don’t miss out on him by thinking that he may not play all the games.

If you are still not convinced..

The last time City had a double gameweek, Aguero scored more points than any other player(20), which included a hattrick against Arsenal. He did not even start the other game.

Non-Premium FPL forwards ahead of FPL GW30+

4. Tammy Abraham TSB-15%, Price-7.5

FPL forwards- Abraham
Tammy Abraham has recorded 20 bonus points so far

Fixtures: Aston Villa(A), ManCity(H), WestHam(A), Watford(H), Crystal Palace(A)

Tammy Abraham has had a fantastic season thus far at Chelsea. The Englishman has already scored 13 goals this season. He has also provided 5 assists to his teammates. Abraham is the sixth-highest scoring player among FPL forwards this season.

Interestingly, Chelsea face 3 of the bottom five in the next 4 games. Tammy Abraham tends to do well against teams in the bottom half of the table. Besides, Chelsea have all their key players back from injury, including Abraham himself. So it won’t be a surprise to see Abraham back to scoring goals to help Chelsea finish in the top 4.

5. Marcus Rashford TSB- 10.2%, Price-8.8

FPL forwards- Rashford
Rashford is the fifth highest scoring player among FPL forwards

Fixtures: Spurs(A), Sheffield Utd(H), Brighton(A), Bournemouth(H), Aston Villa(A)

Marcus Rashford is having his best season at Manchester United. He has already scored 14 goals this season, despite missing the last 7 games due to injury. Rashford has a very good set of fixtures coming up from now up and until the end of the season. In fact, after GW30+, none of the other fixtures for Man Utd have a FDR above 3.

Rashford has registered a whopping 26 bonus points already this season. Adding on to that, he has got maximum bonus points(3) on seven separate occasions, the joint best among all FPL players, let alone FPL forwards.

Moreover, since Bruno Fernandes’ arrival, United have started to create a lot more goalscoring chances, so Rashford is likely to thrive even more!

6. Raul Jimenez TSB- 32.4%, Price-8.1

FPL forwards- Jimenez
Raul Jimenez is a safe pick as the third forward

Fixtures: WestHam(A), Bournemouth(H), Aston Villa(A), Arsenal(H), Sheffield Utd(A)

Raul Jimenez also has a winnable set of games coming up. In fact, Wolves only fixture with FDR of more than 3 comes in GW38+ at Chelsea.

Jimenez is another player who is guaranteed to start every game. In fact, he has started all but one game this season, despite all the distractions of Europa League.

The Wolves forward is the third-highest scoring forward in FPL, he has already been involved in 19 goals(13 goals and 6 assists) this season, including 23 bonus points.

FPL Forwards: Author’s pick- Teemu Pukki

FPL forwards- Pukki
Another Pukki party in store?

Remember him? Remember the Pukki party? The Finnish international has already got 11 goals this season, a vast majority of them coming in the beginning of the season. Since then both Norwich and Pukki have tapered off.

But prior to the break, Norwich showed consistency and picked up key wins. They do have winnable home games coming up, so it won’t be a shock if Pukki party happens again.
