We have enjoyed writing the differentials blog this season and love the reach it has got us with so many of you readers eagerly looking for this particular blog every week. We were ahead of the curve in predicting so many differentials and ultra differentials including Iheanacho, Gundogan, Bale, Wood, and Shaw to name a few this season. So what are we waiting for let’s jump on and see the key differentials and punts for FPL GW38. Few of these assets could help boost your ranking and also climb up places in your Mini League as we enter the last gameweek of the 2020/21 FPL Season.
Few of our best differentials calls in the 2020/21 FPL season:
FPL GW38 Differential Picks(<=10%)
Sadio Mane vs Crystal Palace(H), £11.8, TSB: 7.0%
Sadio Mane was largely off the radar of FPL Managers throughout the season due to lack of form and Liverpool not being ale to click together as they did last season. But still, the Senegalese attacker had got a respectable 20 attacking returns(9 goals + 11 assists) this campaign and is also the fifth-highest scoring midfielder as well. He has also got his form back with a goal and two assists in the last four games. Mane and Liverpool are up against a crystal palace side who have got nothing to play for at Anfield and this game screams goal. You also have to go back and remember the fact that Liverpool hit seven past Palace earlier in the season!
Palace have conceded 12 goals in the last six games(Second worst during the period) with just one clean sheet which was against Sheffield United. The eagles have also got a couple of defensive injuries which makes things worse. Since GW36 Liverpool top the table for shots on goal(116), shots on target(39), big chances(23), xG)14.59), goals(13), headed goals(4), pretty much all of the attacking stats as they push for a champions league spot. Crystal Palace have also conceded the most headed attempts this season(104) and Mane has the most headed shots for Liverpool this season(25). This could be a very good match up and Mane could have a potential double-digit haul.

Jack Harrison vs West Brom(H), £5.6, TSB: 6.8%
Jack Harrison was always under the radar throughout the FPL season with the likes of Bamford, Raphinha, and Dallas taking the limelight of FPL Managers. But the on-loan Manchester City winger has been involved in four goals since GW32 including a 16 digit haul against Burnley in GW36. Only Bamford(27) has been involved in more goals than Harrison(17) this season.
Harrison has also registered better numbers than Raphinha since he returned from injury and will look to continue the trend once again. Since Gameweek 30 West Brom have conceded most of their chances from their center and Right Flank (Harrison’s side) which further bodes well and could be a great matchup. He’s also very lowly owned meaning he could be a good rank booster for managers who are chasing OR and Mini league positions.

Chris Wood vs Sheffield United(A) £6.5, TSB: 4.9%
It was in GW30 where we suggested Chris Wood as our differential pick for the rest of the season. Since then, he has registered 6 goals and 3 assists. Although the Burnley man has blanked in the last 2 games, it is against bottom half teams that he tends to thrive against. In fact, 11 of his 15 attacking returns have come against such teams. Given the fact that he takes on the most obliging team in Sheffield United, in FPL GW38, Wood is a very good option for managers chasing in their leagues.
Sheffield United is a team that concedes a lot of headed attempts. To put it in numbers, the Blades’ 92 headed shots given away is only bettered by Newcastle(99) and Crystal Palace(104). Chris Wood’s prowess in the air is well advocated. The bottom also have conceded the most big chances(98) across the season. The Burnley striker may well have a field day in Yorkshire.

Sergio Kun Aguero vs Everton(H) £10.3, TSB: 1.4%
Are you a romantic person? Well, even if you are not you would realize that Kun Aguero has been one of the greatest servants for us FPL managers. It really is sad to see the end of the Premier League career of the great man. Prior to this season, Aguero had registered 1565 points in FPL with 180 goals and 74 assists in all. Quite an astonishing record. Indeed, this season has been a difficult one for the Argentine. He has just 2 goals and 1 assist in 529 minutes.
The Manchester City striker would look to go level with Wayne Rooney for the most number of goals for one club in the Premier League. He would also want to end on a high in front of the home fans.
Pro Tip: This is as left field a pick as you can find this GW. Last season in GW38, many had tipped David Silva as an option on his farewell game but that didn’t quite work out. So, Aguero is definitely a risky pick, but if you are desperate to climb up the ladder, it is a risk worth taking!
If you’re looking elsewhere in the city attack, Ferran Torres is mostly guaranteed a start and could be a good option. He has scored four goals in the last four games and is the highest-scoring FPL asset during the period with 31 points.

Nicolas Pépé vs Brighton(H), £7.7, TSB: 1.9%
The last time we had an Arsenal player in the differentials was in GW29 when both Pepe and Lacazette returned points in an exciting 3-3 draw. But Arsenal have been mostly poor the whole season which has made most of us FPL Managers ignore FPL assets from Arsenal. However Pepe has been in good form over the last few weeks and Arsenal still have a chance of qualifying for the UEFA Conference league so they’ll most likely give it their fullest.
Pepe has scored three goals in the last three games registering 24 points during the period and is guaranteed a start against Brighton. Arsenal play at home in front of fans after a very long time and that could be added motivation for Pepe and co to finish the season on a high. They’re up against a Brighton side who are very solid at the back and coming of a 3-2 win against champions City. Potter will look to win against another big six side which makes the game interesting. All in all, Pepe could very well be that surprise final GW hero this time around.

Ultra Differential pick for FPL GW38 (<=1%)
Saïd Benrahma vs Sothampton(H), £5.9, TSB: 0.3%
Benrahma has had a slow start to life in the Premier League. But he is already beginning to show signs of his true potential with a goal and two assists in the last four games for the hammers. He has registered 8 shots on goal, made 9 key passes, and created three big chances for an xA of 1.59(Only Salah and TAA have made more key passes and better xA during the period).
He’s also made created the most big chances amongst all players since GW34. He’s up against a Southampton side who have got nothing to play for and are very weak defensively. The hammers are chasing a European spot and are back in the London stadium with fans. This could be the perfect chance for Benrahma to score and make a statement. If you’re chasing and want to take a calculated risk then you can’t ignore this guy!
That’s it, folks the last differentials article of the season is done and we have hope you enjoyed reading it as much we loved writing it. We’ll back with our differentials for GW1 next season!
