What an eventful gameweek it turned out to be. From Rashford’s spectacular goal to Haaland’s shocking miss from close range, from Solanke surprisingly starting but failing to score to a couple of defenders being forced off due to injury before the 60th minute despite their teams keeping clean sheets to Arsenal scoring 6 goals & Saka being subbed off at Half Time, this gameweek was filled with drama that could rival even the most renowned scriptwriters’ works.
The second double gameweek of the season has arrived, albeit a smaller one. Luton and Bournemouth are the two teams with two fixtures this gameweek. Many managers will use this gameweek to strategize for the upcoming biggest blank gameweek.
So, let’s start with our BUY-HOLD-SELL article for this GW, sponsored by …. Well, nobody. We are poor, but you can help here if you want 😊

FPL Gameweek 28 Transfer Tips: Two Players to BUY
Carlton Morris (£5.1m) – FWD, Luton – 6.2% TSB
Since GW21, Morris’s rank among FWDs
- 3rd for FPL points
- 3rd for Goals
- 3rd for Goal Involvements
- 3rd for Key Passes
- 3rd for BPS
- 4th for Bonus
- 5th for xG
- 5th for xGI
Even beyond GW28, Morris has a good fixture against NFO at home.
Luton has never failed to score since GW13. Hence it is prudent to buy their talisman Morris.

Alfie Doughty (£4.7m) – DEF, Luton – 9.5% TSB
First things first, Doughty will not guarantee you Clean Sheets. But what he lacks in defensive prowess, he more than makes up with his attacking potential.
Since GW15, Doughty’s rank among DEFs
- 1st for Goal Involvements
- 1st for Assists
- 2nd for Key Passes
- 3rd for FPL points
- 3rd for Big Chances Created
- 3rd for xA
- 4th for Shots
- 4th for Shots in the Box
- 4th for xGI
- 4th for BPS
- 4th for Bonus
Doughty faces Crystal Palace and Bournemouth in GW28. Between the two teams, they have kept just 2 Clean Sheets and conceded 34 goals in their last 16 games combined – both metrics placing them in the bottom half of the table.
Buy Doughty to gain valuable lead over your mini-league rivals.

FPL Gameweek 28 Transfer Tips: Two Players to HOLD
Dominic Solanke (£7.1m) – FWD, Bournemouth – 24.1% TSB
Solanke was rumoured to be unfit for GW27. Although he made a miraculous recovery to start, he blanked. This might have dampened a few spirits. However, I recommend you hold Solanke.
Among FWDs, Solanke is ranked:
- 2nd for xG
- 3rd for Goals Scored
- 3rd for FPL points
- 3rd for Shots in the Box
- 4th for xGI
- 4th for Bonus
- 4th for Shots
- 5th for Big Chances
- 5th for Goal Contributions
Solanke faces a dream run of fixtures till GW32 along with a DGW28
Solanke faces Sheffield and Luton at home in GW28. The respective defences are ranked: –
Defence Rank | Sheffield | Luton |
Clean Sheets | 20th | 19th |
Goals Conceded | 20th | 18th |
Shots Conceded | 19th | 17th |
Shots on Target Conceded | 20th | 17th |
Shots in the Box Conceded | 19th | 20th |
Big Chances Conceded | 19th | 20th |
xG Conceded | 19th | 20th |
Solanke will be a potential captaincy candidate (maybe a TC candidate) this week.

Neto (£4.6m) – GKP, Bournemouth – 4.4% TSB
Neto’s stock is slightly tepid after registering just a solitary Clean Sheet in the last 8 games.
However, the 5th highest scoring GKP (just 9 points off the 1st position), Neto can be a massive differential this week. He is the lowest owned among the Top 10 scoring GKPs.
He faces SHU and LUT at home – teams which sit in the bottom half of the table when it comes to scoring goals, more so in away matches.
Whenever Neto gets a Clean Sheet, he ends up scoring big – a combined 51 points from 6 matches when Bournemouth maintained a Clean Sheet. So, even if he manages to keep 1 clean sheet, he can be the ultra-differential captaincy choice.
So, HOLD Neto.

FPL Gameweek 28 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL
Alisson Becker (£5.8m) – GKP, Liverpool – 10.7% TSB
Alisson’s setback has turned out to be more serious than initially anticipated, potentially leading to an extended absence during the crucial run-in period. Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders emphasized that the Brazilian goalkeeper will require significant time to fully recover from this setback. As a result, Kelleher is poised to continue his extended stint in the first team. Although, Klopp was firm in stating that while the injury is significant, it is not expected to end Alisson’s season, I suggest selling Alisson for the medium term.

Richarlison (£7.0m) – MID, Spurs – 6.8% TSB
Richarlison has sustained a knee injury, causing him to sit out the recent victory against Crystal Palace. However, the duration of his absence remains uncertain.
Manager Postecoglou initially informed the club’s media that the forward would be sidelined for “two to three weeks.” Shortly afterward, he informed reporters that the recovery period might extend to “three to four weeks.” Consequently, the consensus is leaning towards an absence of around three weeks, with a potential return after the March international break.
Postecoglou expressed relief over the timing of the injury, as it coincides with the international break, indicating that Richarlison may only miss a few matches before being ready to return.
Hence, he becomes a SELL this GW.
