Although the FPL freehit chip is better used for the double gameweeks in the second half of the season, blank GW12 isn’t actually a bad time to freehit if you don’t have more than 6-8 players playing in GW12. Quite a lot of managers have been impacted by a poor bench with a few injuries which has reduced the number of starters for GW12 as Man City and Arsenal blank. By free hitting in GW12, you’ll be able to keep all your Man City and Arsenal assets intact for GW13 and navigate the blank smoothly. In this blog, we’ll be taking a look at multiple GW12 freehit drafts with keynotes for each draft.

FPL GW12 Fixtures
Man City and Arsenal don’t play in GW12.
Fixtures to Target in FPL GW12:
- Brighton vs Nottingham Forest ~ Forest second most goals conceded(23) and second highest xGC(18.72)
- Bournemouth vs Southampton ~ Bournemouth are the only team unbeaten in the last six games, Solanke is in impressive form, Southampton are winless in the last 5 games.
- Liverpool vs West Ham ~ Liverpool are coming off an impressive 1-0 win over Man City with Salah looking close to his best.
- Newcastle vs Everton ~ Everton conceded the most xGC vs Spurs in GW11(2.72) and were poor offensively
- Palace vs Wolves ~ This game bodes well for Palace attackers and defenders, Wolves don’t score freely and Palace will fancy their chances. Wolves are also strong defensively so you could go for defenders from both the sides and hope for a 0-0.
- Fulham vs Aston Villa ~ Fulham have been scoring a lot of goals and also conceding quite a few. Mitrovic is back and scored a goal in GW11 and could be a great option in GW12.
- Man United vs Spurs ~ Kane has been in good form and will look to continue his run away at Man United.
FPL GW12 Free Hit Drafts
FPL GW12 Free Hit Draft One:
- Most likely the template free hit draft with no defensive double up
- One defender from Newcastle, Liverpool, and Brighton along with Guaita in goal. Tripper guarantees points and TAA is back from injury, Dunk is a decent option for both defensive and attacking returns.
- Salah scored the only goal in a 1-0 over Man City and should have had more. He’s looking close to his best and enjoys playing against the Hammers having scored 9 goals and registered 3 assists in 10 games against West Ham.
- Mount was the highest-scoring player in GW11 thanks to a brace, in the last two games he has got 2 goals and 2 assists involving in 4/5 goals scored by Chelsea. He’s also a key player for Potter, having not missed a game under him, so he’s a safe starter, unlike other Chelsea attackers who could be rotated.
- Trossard is a great option on Freehit playing against Forest at home who have been the second worst defence statistically this season. Brighton’s fixtures after GW12 are somewhat tricky which is making a lot of non-freehiters stay away from him, so if you’re free hitting you’re at an advantage.
- The front three is fairly template and all three are in form at the moment. Solanke is a great choice who has both form and fixture, he has a goal and three assists in the last 2 games. Southampton have conceded the second most xGC(8.16) in the last four games.

FPL GW12 Free Hit Draft Two:
- A risky threemium draft with Salah, Kane, and Son.
- Obviously, the double-up on Kane and Son could backfire but at the same time could also offer you differential points if the duo fire against Man United.
- Newcastle defense Double up- Pope and Trippier
- Firmino is in excellent form and will make an excellent differential in GW12. Amongst forwards under 8 Million since GW5 only Toney has scored more goals than Firmino.

FPL GW12 Free Hit Draft Three:
- A double-up on Brighton defenders against Forest at Home, is a high-risk strategy that could work. Brighton have the highest odds of cleansheet amongst all teams(52%) in GW12.
- Elsewhere a triple-up on Liverpool is an exciting option to consider. Liverpool have options in attack now even in the absence of Luis Diaz, but there’s a high chance that Darwin and Firmino both start vs West Ham.
- Liverpool also have the highest odds of 2+ goals in GW12(44%) which bodes well for an attack double up/Triple up, Brighton are second with 38% odds of scoring 2+ goals.

FPL GW12 Free Hit Draft Four:
- A bit of a nice mix-up in this draft with three attacking full-backs in defence along with Pope in goal.
- Eze takes the place of Zaha who has looked a bit off over the last few games
- A front three of Firmino, Mitrovic, and Kane is an exciting triple-up.
- Over the last three games, there isn’t a big difference between Zaha and Eze in terms of numbers. If you’re on freehit you could go for Eze or both and then gain from Eze as a differential as a lot of non-freehitters are already with Zaha.

FPL GW12 Free Hit Draft Five:
- Isak is out for another three matches at a minimum which makes Wilson a guaranteed starter and a decent option to consider in your team for GW12. Newcastle play Everton who have conceded the third highest xGC(7.4) amongst all teams in the last four games. They are also third worst for xG created in the last four games(3.52) which is good indicator of a CS for Trippier/Pope.
- Chilwell along with Sterling were both benched in GW10 against Wolves but came back into the side vs Aston Villa in GW11, Chilwell looked good at LWB, Whereas Sterling played RWB. Both of them are good punts against Brentford as the rest of the draft is fairly template.
