All Premier League Teams Predicted GW12 Lineups

Aston Villa

In yet more shuffling of his front three, Gerrard opted to put Ings back in alongside Watkins. There was a bit of concern about Bailley starting after he was reported injured. Gerrard later confirmed that he was taken off after an hour on the advice of his physios. The rest should mean that he’s fine to start on Thursday.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)

Aston Villa GW12 Predicted Formation

  • 4-3-1-2

Aston Villa GW12 Predicted Lineup:

Martinez

Cash – Mings – Konsa – Young

Ramsey – McGinn – Luiz

Bailey

Ings – Watkins

Bournemouth

Bournemouth went into the Fulham clash unchanged, however with the tight turnaround, I’d expect some rotation for Southampton. Anthony may come into the front three in place of Tavernier, and Zemura should go back in at left-back.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)

Bournemouth GW12 Predicted formation

  • 4-2-3-1

Bournemouth GW12 Predicted lineup:

Neto

Zemura – Mepham – Sensei – Smith

Cook – Lerma

Christie – Billing- Anthony

Solanke

Bournemouth PC/Injury Updates(18/10/22)

No new injury concerns for Cherries who are six games unbeaten.

Junior Stanislas, Joe Rothwell and Ben Pearson are all back fit, Stanislas and Rothwell were on the bench in the 2-2 draw vs Fulham.

“It’s brilliant,” he said. “Junior Stanislas, Joe Rothwell and Ben Pearson are back around it, and they all give us certain strengths that we’re definitely going to need.

Club captain Lloyd Kelly and David Brooks are long-term absentees.

Brighton

It was a disappointing outing for Brighton last time out they went in unchanged for the third consecutive match. With 3 games in 8 days for them, there could be some rotation in midweek. Welbeck was rested the last time they had a midweek fixture so Undav could come in for him. There may too be a change at wing back with Lamptey possibly coming in for March. Roberto De Zerbi also confirmed that Adam Lallana will start Tuesday night’s game which means Gross misses out.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)

Brighton GW12 Predicted formation

  • 3-4-2-1

Brighton GW12 Predicted lineup:

Sanchez

Veltman – Webster – Dunk

Lamptey MacAllister – Caicedo Estupinan

LallanaTrossard

Undav

Brighton PC/Injury Updates(17/10/22)

Roberto De Zerbi confirmed that Adam Lallana will start Tuesday night’s game, while Kaoru Mitoma misses out after picking up an ankle injury against Brentford.

The Italian said that the Japan international may also miss the Manchester City game on Saturday.

Brentford

Brentford suffered an injury blow with RB Hickey ruled out until after the world cup along with club captain Jansson. Ajer should continue at RB in place of Hickey like in GW11.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Brentford GW12 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Brentford GW12 Predicted lineup:

Raya

Ajer – Pinnock – Mee – Henry

Janlet – Jensen Onyeka

Mbeumo – Toney – Wissa

Brentford PC/Injury Updates(18/10/22):

Huge blow for Brentford as Aaron Hickey and club captain Pontus Jansson will be out until after the World Cup.

Chelsea

As we predicted would be the case, Loftus Cheek came in for Reece James at right wing-back. With James out until the World Cup, that should continue going forward. Chilwell played on the left flank, but given that Cucurella, who started in the back three, was taken off at halftime, the Spaniard may well start in Chillwell’s position with Koulibally coming in at centre-back.

In midfield, Kovacic’s recent return from injury may see his minutes managed so Jorginho could come in against Brentford.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Chelsea GW12 Predicted formation:

  • 3-4-1-2

Chelsea GW12 Predicted lineup:

Kepa,

Koulibaly – Chalobah – Thiago Silva

Loftus Cheek – Mount – Jorginho -Cucurella

HavertzSterling

Aubameyang

Chelsea PC/Injury Updates(18/10/22):

No fresh injury concerns for Chelsea.

No problems injury wise, it’s just about recovery ~ Potter on Thiago Silva

I think Kepa’s form is really pleasing for everybody. It’s nice we have competition in that area and we need players to push each other as that is how they get better. ~ Potter on Kepa being first choice

It’s a joy. He is a fantastic person and loves to play football and the club. It’s surprising there is a mixed opinion on Mason, from the outside and when you work with him you know he has everything to be a top player. ~ Potter on Mount

Crystal Palace

Viera took a slightly more defensive approach against Leicester with Olise making way and you could argue that it paid dividends as they kept a clean sheet. However, against an attack as toothless as Wolves has been this season, the shackles may come off a bit more with Olise coming back in at Schlupp’s expense.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Crystal Palace GW12 Predicted Formation

  • 4-3-3

Crystal Palace GW12 Predicted lineup:

Guaita

Ward – Guehi – Andersen – Mitchell

Eze – Olise – Doucoure

Ayew Edouard – Zaha

Crystal Palace PC/Injury Updates(17/10/22)

No fresh injury concerns for Palace going into GW12. Clyne remains out, and Will Hughes, Richards, and Nathan Ferguson(lack of match fitness) are all out. McArthur too has been out for a while.

Everton

Everton made a solitary enforced change for Tottenham, with the suspended Gordon dropping out for McNeil. He should go straight back in. After coming on for the last half an hour against Tottenham, Calvert Lewin could also come in for his first start of the season.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)

Everton GW12 Predicted formation

  • 4-3-2-1

Everton GW12 Predicted lineup

Pickford

Coleman- Tarkowski – Coady – Mykolenko

Onana – Iwobi – Gueye

Gordon – Gray

DCL

Everton PC/Injury Updates(18/10/22)

Ruled out: Godfrey, Mina, Patterson.

Gordon is back after serving his one-match suspension against Spurs.

Holgate has been out with a knee injury sustained at Brentford on 27 August and, having returned to training a fortnight ago, is in contention to play.

Frank Lampard also reiterated the need “to be careful” with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s progression back into the team following the striker’s recovery from a knee injury.

Ben Godfrey is back doing individual work outside at Finch Farm as he recovers from a fractured fibula, but fellow centre-back Yerry Mina will not feature against Newcastle after suffering a “small issue” with a calf complaint in training last week.

Fulham

The big news for Fulham was that Mitrovic was passed fit to start against Bournemouth. What went more under the radar but was a bit of a surprise was the exclusion of Tosin. You’d have to assume that it was simply a rest and given that they conceded twice, he should go straight back in. Reid started at right back again so that may continue.

Harry Wilson came off the bench for the last half an hour or so and I could see him making his first start of the season on Thursday.

Willian could also come in.

Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted 8 starters correctly last week)

Fulham GW12 Predicted formation:

  • 4-2-3-1

Fulham GW12 Predicted lineup:

Leno

Reid -Tosin – Diop – Robinson

Palhinha – H Reed

Willian – Andreas – Wilson

Mitrovic

Leeds United

Marsh made a single change to the Leeds lineup with Sinisterra coming in for Bamford. For Leicester, I’d expect Bamford to start in spite of his penalty miss. The rest of the team should remain the same.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)

Leeds United GW12 Predicted formation:

  • 4-2-3-1

Leeds United GW12 Predicted lineup:

 Meslier

Kristensen – Cooper – Koch – Struijk

Adams-Roca

Sinisterra – Aaronson – Harrison

Bamford

Leicester City

The big news for both Leicester and FPL managers is that Maddison picked up his fifth booking of the season against Palace so will be missing for GW12. In his absence, there could be a formation change with Vardy coming in. Evans is also ruled out after missing the Palace game, Amartey should continue to fill in.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Leicester City GW12 Predicted formation:

  • 4-4-2

Leicester City GW12 Predicted lineup:

Ward

Justin – Faes – Amartey – Castagne

Tielemans – Soumare – Dewsbury Hall – Barnes

Vardy – Daka

Leicester CityPC/Injury Updates(18/10/22)

No Evans and Soyancu is also potentially out.

“Jonny Evans won’t make the game,” Rodgers said at LCFC Training Ground. “We’ll see how he is for the weekend. Çağs has an issue with his knee so we’ll have to assess that. He’s had it since he came back from the internationals. He has had a scan on that, so we have to wait for the result of that.

“He hasn’t been where he wants to be in terms of his fitness, so we’ll see.”

James Maddison, on the other hand, has also reached the yellow card threshold for a one-match suspension.

“He’s one of the leading players in the Premier League,” Rodgers added. “It’s an opportunity for someone else to come in.

Liverpool

With Diaz confirmed out until the World Cup, Klopp turned to Elliott to take his place. Though Alexander-Arnold wasn’t fit enough to start, he was rather surprisingly named on the bench with Milner playing at right-back so you’d have to assume that he comes in for West Ham. Both Konate and Matip were ruled out for this game, so Gomez came in alongside Van Dijk.

To add to their injury worries, Jota limped off late on so he’ll almost certainly be missing in three days time, he’s also likely to miss the WC with further scans being done to determine the extent of the calf injury. With Fabio Carvalho the only fit natural replacement on the left of the front three, he should come in.

Nunez was also named on the bench but he too could come in against West Ham.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Liverpool GW12 Predicted formation

  • 4-3-3

Liverpool GW12 Predicted lineup:

Allison

TAA – Van Dijk – Gomez – Robertson

Elliott – Fabinho – Thiago

Salah – Nunez – Fabio Carvalho

Liverpool PC/Injury Updates(18/10/22)

Klopp on Jota: “Not good news on Diogo. He will miss the World Cup.”

Klopp: “Oxlade getting closer, yesterday team training. Naby now in parts of team training. Konate won’t be out long, maybe 10 days.”

Klopp on Calvin Ramsay: “Now back in full training. Had a little setback, but now ready for the under-21s at the weekend.”

Manchester United

United made three changes from their last league outing with Sancho, Fred, and Ronaldo coming in for Eriksen, Rashford and the injured Martial. For Tottenham, I’d expect Eriksen to come back in due to United lacking in creativity in his absence.

I’d also be surprised if Ronaldo started against Tottenham, with the more mobile Rashford probably being preferred up top.

Last week’s success rate: 10/11 (We predicted 10 starters correctly last week)

Manchester United GW12 Predicted formation:

  • 4-2-3-1

Manchester United GW12 Predicted lineup:

De Gea

Dalot – Martinez – Varane – Malacia

Eriksen – Casemiro

Anthony – Bruno – Sancho

Rashford

Newcastle United

The main news for Newcastle is that Alexander Isak has suffered a setback and so will be unavailable until after the World Cup. Saint Maximin’s hamstring injury will also keep him out although it’ll be for a far shorter amount of time.

Elsewhere, last time Newcastle had a mid-week fixture, Howe rested both of his centre-backs. It wouldn’t surprise me if one of them was left out on this occasion too. Given he hasn’t had a rest for a while, Schar could be the one to miss out.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Newcastle United GW12 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Newcastle United GW12 Predicted lineup:

Pope

Trippier Botman – Burn – Target

Willock – Bruno Guimares – Joelinton

Almiron – Wilson – Murphy

Newcastle United PC/Injury Updates(18/10/22)

Isak ruled out until after the world cup

Eddie Howe on Alexander Isak: “We don’t think we’ll see Alex back before the World Cup. Unfortunately, he’s had a setback on his thigh. It’s been very frustrating for him as a new player in a new league. I thought he was acclimatising well and picked up the injury with Sweden.”

“It’s been frustrating for him because he felt really good and he did a lot of work to get fit. It’s a real shame because he’s desperate to make his mark here but he’s young, he’s got a long future ahead of him here so we have to protect him and make sure he comes back right.”

Eddie Howe on Allan Saint-Maximin: “Maxi has had a very minor irritation to his hamstring but it is the third time that’s happened. Although it is a minor injury, because of the recurrence we might have to be careful with him but we hope to see him before the World Cup break.”

On Fabian Schär: “He’s fine. He’s been nursing a foot injury for a while now. He’s managed it very well but it just reared its head towards the end of the Man Utd game but I think he’ll be fine.”

Eddie Howe on Jonjo Shelvey: “We are continuing to work him very hard but he’s still in the early stages of coming back. We’re building his load and building his training time but he’s looking really good. We just want to be careful in the latter stages of his injury.”

Nottingham Forest

It was yet another disappointing result for Forest, and it was especially disappointing for Brennan Johnson. After putting in a string of subpar performances, he capped his showing against Wolves with a penalty miss. As such, I can see him getting a rest midweek with Lingard coming in. A change may be on the cards in midfield with Mangala possibly coming in.

Williams also came back in at right back after in place of Aurier who wasn’t even in the squad, so the Wales international should stay in the side.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Nottingham Forest GW12 Predicted formation:

Nottingham Forest GW12 Predicted lineup

Henderson

Williams – Cook – McKenna – Toffolo

Mangala – Yates – Frueler

Gibbs White – Lingard – Dennis

Nottingham Forest PC/Injury Updates(17/10/22)

Defensive duo Serge Aurier (muscle) and Renan Lodi (ankle sprain) will be given as much time as possible to recover from knocks. It is hoped midfielder Lewis O’Brien could also be available again, having missed the game at Wolves due to illness. Forest remain without Moussa Niakhate (hamstring) and Omar Richards (hairline fracture of the leg).

“Serge has had a bit of an accelerated programme since he came in without really having a pre-season, doing a few days, then going on international duty and playing minutes there, which was important.

Southampton

There were a couple of Southampton changes for the West Ham clash, with Elyounousi and Maitland-Niles coming in for Diallo and Stuart Armstrong. Hassenhuttl has had a tendency to do this with games in quick succession but he should revert to the usual lineup for Bournemouth.

In more worrying news, Bela-Kotchap was forced off with an injury late in the first half so he will likely be out for GW12.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Southampton GW12 Predicted formation

  • 4-2-3-1

Southampton GW12 Predicted lineup:

Bazunu

Walker-Peters – Calita-Car – Salisu- Perraud

Diallo – Ward Prowse

Stuart Armstrong – Aribo – Mohamed Elyounoussi

Che Adams

Southampton Injury News/PC Updates(18/10/22):

“Doesn’t look good for Armel, he’ll be out on Wednesday,” confirmed Hasenhüttl. “It’s not so sure in what direction we are going.

Bella-Kotchap joins Tino Livramento and Roméo Lavia as long-term absentees, while Theo Walcott and Ibrahima Diallo are a doubt due to illness.

Tottenham

The big news for Tottenham from the weekend was that, in addition to the injury sustained by Kulusevski, Richarlison was forced off with a calf problem and he’ll be out for a few weeks, Conte could deploy the 3-5-2 we saw at Brighton, with Bissouma coming into a 3-man midfield.

As always, wingback is tricky to predict when it comes to Tottenham. After recent performances, Doherty should retain his place on the right. The left is a trickier matter, with Sessegnon and Perisic both rotating quite frequently. Perisic has commonly started the more difficult matches so he could get the nod but that is purely an educated guess.

Last week’s success rate: 11/11 (We predicted 11 starters correctly last week)

Spurs GW12 Predicted formation:

  • 3-4-3

Spurs GW12 Predicted lineup:

Lloris

Romero – Dier – Davies

Doherty – Bentancur – Bissouma – Hojbjerg – Perisic

Kane – Son

Spurs Injury News/PC Updates(17/10/22):

Conte is tempted to play 3-4-3 against Man Utd “My idea is we work a lot on this system, on this formation. Lucas Moura is recovered from his injury, also Gil is making big progress and then I have Perisic who can play like a striker. He did it in the past and can do it again.”

Richarlison is expected to be out of action for two weeks having undergone a scan on the calf he injured against Everton

Antonio Conte confirms Richarlison should be fit for the World Cup: “I can confirm this: that the player is not risking to not play the World Cup, absolutely. The injury is not so serious. I’m happy for the player.”

“Kulusevski is working. We are going day by day with him. I don’t know about the game against Manchester United, the doctors are working with him.

“It’s the same injury [hamstring]. The medical department are working to recover him but at the same time there are situations that you have to go a bit slowly and not accelerate the process. Sometimes if you do that you worsen the situation.

“We hope to have him in the squad very soon. Deki is an important player for us and Richy is an important player for us.”

West Ham

Moyes sprung a bit of a surprise in his selection against Southampton, as he made three changes. Emerson, Johnson and Coufal came in for Dawson, Fornals and Zouma. Zouma, and Dawson are still doubts. West Ham could go three at the back as well against Liverpool with Creswell capable of playing LCB in a three-man defense, in that case, Emerson plays LWB.

Last week’s success rate: 8/11 (We predicted all 8 starters correctly last week)

West Ham GW12 Predicted Formation

  • 4-2-3-1

West Ham GW12 Predicted lineup:

Fabianski

CoufalKehrer -Johnson – Cresswell

Rice – Soucek – Paqueta

Bowen -Scamacca – Fornals

West Ham PC/ Injury Updates(18/10/22):

Doubts: Zouma, Dawson. Short-term absentee: Cornet Long-term absentee: Nayef Aguerd

Moyes updates from the PC:

“Kurt has done a little bit of training but we don’t know if he’ll be right yet.

“Craig Dawson we’re not sure about, so not much change from where we were on Sunday.”

It’s really good news that Nayef is on his way back because we bought him in as a key player for us. He’s started training, not fully integrated yet, but is getting closer to playing.

“I think he’ll definitely feature before the World Cup.”

Wolves

As expected, Neves came straight back in after serving his suspension with Guedes surprisingly dropping out. You’d have to assume that Guedes will just rested and should come back in. Gomez will probably find himself on the bench again with Collins now available. With the quick turn around, Semedo too may well come back in and given Jonny’s injury history, he could be the one that is rested.

Last week’s success rate: 9/11 (We predicted 9 starters correctly last week)

Wolves GW12 Predicted formation:

  • 4-3-3

Wolves GW12 Predicted lineup:

Sa

Semedo – Kilman – Collins – Ait-Nouri

Neves – Moutinho – Nunes

Podence – Costa – Guedes

Wolves PC/ Injury Updates(17/10/22):

No fresh concerns, Collins is back after his three game suspension. Neto, Chiquinho, and Sasa Kalajdzic are long-term absentees. Raul Jimenez is also out without an expected return date.

As we said when predicting the GW11 lineups, there will definitely be some incorrect calls in here, however, we’ll always do our best job with the news we have. Article penned by @FPLHindsight(Drop him a follow on Twitter)
