FPL GW31 Scout Picks

FPL GW31 Scout Picks – Goalkeeper

FPL GW31 Scout Picks - Goalkeeper

Leno takes the gloves in our GW31 Scout team with a fixture against Nottingham Forest(A). He’s the 2nd highest-scoring goalkeeper in FPL this season(106 pts) and fifth amongst all keepers for most saves(107).

Leno also does well in BPS and bonus points having registered a BPS score of 610(Highest amongst GKs) and bonus points return of 13(2nd Highest amongst all GKs)

Nottingham are struggling for goals recently and there’s a good chance of CS and if not he should pick up a few points through saves!

FPL GW31 Scout Picks – Defenders

FPL GW31 Scout Picks - Defenders

Although Bradley did not keep a CS or get an attacking return he ended up with 2 bonus points which is a reflection of his attacking involvement in the game. He was unlucky not to get an attacking return vs Brighton in GW30, but attacking returns are definitely coming!

Bradley heatmap vs Brighton in GW30

Sheffield United have conceded 18 goals in the last six games(Highest amongst all teams). In attack, Sheffield United have registered an xG of only 6.36(Lowest amongst all teams in the last six games)

At home, Liverpool are more strong defensively. They have conceded only 13 goals from 15 home games this seasonJoint second-lowest in the league. Their xGC in home games is also only 13.45 which is the 3rd lowest only behind Arsenal and Man City.

FPL GW31 Scout Picks - Defenders ~ Ben White

Arsenal’s defence is ever reliable and this week we have Ben White in our scout picks. The Arsenal full back has a great matchup this week with Luton conceding a whopping 39 chances in the last six games(Highest amongst all teams during the period) through their left flank which is where White operates. Luton’s chances conceded in their left flank(Opposition RW/RB) is more than the chances conceded through their central and right flank(Opposition LW/LB).

Arsenal have also conceded only an xGC of 2.62 in the last six games(The least amongst all teams), they have also conceded only 2 goals in the last six games which shows how strong Arsenal are defensively.

FPL GW31 Scout Picks - Defenders ~ Ait Nouri

Ait Nouri has 5 Big chance involvements from the last 6 matches- 3 Big Chances and 2 Big Chances created. He should have scored a goal in GW30 vs Villa only to hit straight at Emi Martinez from 6 yards. Wolves have a great fixture in GW31 vs Burnley and Ait Nouri is a no-brainer option in our scout picks this week. (More on Ait Nouri in our Differentials blog -> Do check it out)

FPL GW31 Scout Picks – Midfielders

FPL GW31 Scout Picks - Midfielders

Saka is the first midfielder in our scout picks this week and he’s an easy choice with Arsenal facing Luton Town at home. Luton Town are facing a severe injury crisis with the situation getting worse with every passing game. The Hatters have conceded the most chances through their left flank(39) in the last six games amongst all teams and this is where Saka operates giving him a great matchup.

FPL GW31 Scout Picks - Midfielders - Saka

Luton Town have also conceded 27 big chances and an xGC of 15.33 in the last six games, both are the highest amongst all teams in the last six games.

Son registered an xGI of 1.09 vs Luton Town in GW30 and picked up a goal and 3 bonus in a 2-1 win, however, he could have had a huge haul and was unfortunate not to score more than one goal. In GW31 he is up against West Ham who will be without Areola, the Hammers have conceded 12 goals in the last six games from an xGC of 11.86(Both 5th worst in the League).

FPL GW31 Scout Picks - Midfielders - Luis Diaz

Luis Diaz has consistently scored or assisted over the last few games and is an excellent option to double up on Liverpool’s attack along with Salah. The Colombian attacker has registered an xGI of 6.5 since GW22 which is the 2nd highest amongst all midfielders and only behind Saka.

Diaz has also registered 4 goals and 3 assists during the period totaling 53 FPL points, 2nd most amongst midfielders. These are impressive numbers when you consider that Liverpool played Man City and Arsenal during the period(Last 8 games/Since GW22)

Mo Salah wraps up the midfield this week, the Liverpool attacker was unlucky not to haul vs Brighton in GW30 having registered 12 shots which is the most he has had in a Premier League Game.

Mo Salah and Liverpool’s numbers in the last six games are elite, the Reds have registered a healthy xG of 16.60, 99 shots inside the box, and 24 big chances(All of the stats are highest amongst all teams)

Salah meanwhile has an xG of 5.52 in the last six games, Salah has also had 26 shots inside the box and 8 big chances. He has also created 10 chances.

Sheffield United(Salah’s opponents) have conceded 18 goals in the last six games(Highest amongst all teams).

He’s also the captain in this week’s scout picks after topping our FPL GW31 Captaincy metrics(Check out how Salah fared in comparison with Haaland, Son, Saka, and Isak)

FPL GW31 Scout Picks – Forwards

FPL GW31 Scout Picks - Forwards

Haaland has been a bit quiet in the last six games having registered only 2 goals and an assist during the period. However, we all know Haaland is Haaland and he could bounce back in style as Man City enter a crucial run of games starting with Aston Villa in GW31.

Alexander Isak proved to be a great signing for many managers who got him in on their GW30 Wildcard, the magpies striker scored 2 goals and picked up an assist totaling a whopping 15 points vs West Ham in GW30. He is a great option to consider this week, especially for those on free hit GW34 plan as it allows you to get him early and hold him till Newcastle’s expected double in GW37.

FPL GW31 Scout Picks - Forwards - Isak

Everton have conceded 27 chances through their center in the last six games which is more than the chances they conceded through their left flank(23) and right flank(19) giving Isak a good matchup.

Muniz rounds up the GW31 Scout selection as he is in the form of his life- 8 goals and an assist from 8 games since he became a starter for Fulham. He will be up against Nottingham Forest in GW31
