FPL Gameweek 27 Transfer Tips: Two Players to Buy, Hold & Sell

If you had a low score in BGW26, don’t worry. Let’s look at how the top scoring XI of BGW26 performed just a GW ago.

Son Heung-min (£9.6m) – MID, Spurs – 16.5% TSB

Note: The above thread was posted before Richarlison injury news. As Richarlison is ruled out, he becomes a sell/avoid and Son stands out as the Top pick.

Marcos Senesi (£4.5m) – DEF, Bournemouth – 4.2% TSB

Senesi faces a Burnley side in GW27 which is ranked:-

• 20^th for Big Chances
• 20^th for xG
• 19^th for Goals
• 19^th for Shots
• 19^th for Shots on Target
• 19^th for Shots in the Box

Burnley are also ranked 20^th in terms of shots conceded from headers conceded and 18^th in terms of shots conceded from set pieces. These two stats make Senesi even more attractive as all his 3 goals have come from set pieces – 2 of them from headers.

Even beyond GW27, Senesi faces SHU (H) and LUT (H) in DGW28.

Note: Senesi is on 8 yellow cards at the moment. If he reaches 10 yellow cards, there will be a two-game suspension.

Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m) – MID, West Ham – 16.8% TSB

Bowen scored a hattrick in the last game of BGW26, which coincided with the return of Lucas Paqueta to the West Ham starting XI.

But now let’s have a look at how important Lucas Paqueta has been to Bowen this season

Surprisingly Bowen is the 4^th most sold MF this week. Now that Paqueta is back and WHU doesn’t blank in BGW29 with two juicy fixtures in the next 2 GWs, managers who had the patience to endure the streak of 6 blanks from Jarrod Bowen, might as well hold on to him.

Kevin De Bruyne (£10.7m) – MID, Man City – 27.4% TSB

Kevin De Bruyne is the most transferred out player this week and understandably so. 0 points in the last 2 games and 2 points in the last 3 isn’t enticing enough to hold onto an asset who is priced above £10.5m. But with Salah probably back and Son definitely back this week and not blanking in GW29 (unlike KDB), he seems an easy sell.

If he plays, he can return hauls even within 20 minutes, as evident from his haul against Newcastle. And any doubt regarding his fitness was put to rest courtesy his 90 min appearance and 4 assists against Luton in the midweek FA Cup. In fact, despite playing just 553 minutes of football, only FOUR players from Europe’s big five leagues have provided more assists than Kevin De Bruyne across all competitions this season (11)

He faces Man Utd at Etihad this week. Man Utd has kept only 2 Clean Sheets in the last 13 GWs.

I feel he will start against Man Utd, will be benched against Copenhagen and again start versus Liverpool. So, I would recommend you hold Kevin De Bruyne for this week.

FPL Gameweek 27 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL

Pervis Estupiñán (£5.0m) – DEF, Brighton & Hove Albion – 25.9% TSB

• 2 starts
• 3 points

It’s fair to say the promise Estupiñán showed after scoring 20 points in 3 games post his return from injury, has failed to deliver. Although he still has two very good fixtures, but I would recommend selling him to make place for DGW players like Senesi or Doughty before he drops in price as he is currently the second most sold defender.

Kaoru Mitoma (£6.4m) – MID, Brighton & Hove Albion – 13.5% TSB

Kaoru Mitoma’s season has been cut short due to a back injury he sustained earlier this month. The winger, who has only made two appearances since Christmas and was last seen in action during the 5-0 victory against Sheff Utd on February 18th, will be sidelined for the remainder of the season. Roberto de Zerbi confirmed the same.

Hence Mitoma becomes an easy sell.
