Welcome to FPL PAZ’s(Twitter, Do follow him) Transfer Targets and Watchlist, where I highlight the THREE best transfer targets in each position for FPL GW22 and beyond. The goal is to give managers a watchlist for both the immediate Gameweek and future Gameweeks. All picks are analyzed with stats, fixtures, and current form. LET’S GET INTO IT:

FPL GW22 Transfer Targets
Kyle Walker MCI £5.4
Projected Points GW22-28: 33.1
With an assist and 2 bonus points in GW21, Walker was able to reward his managers with a nice 6 pointer. With Manchester City’s great upcoming fixtures, including their DGW25, having one of their defenders on the watchlist is not a bad idea. Over the next six GWs, City has the easiest schedule for defenders, raising Walker’s upside. Walker has also shown more attacking threat this season with a 0.25 xGI per 90 minutes(over the last 6 games), which is something he has been lacking in past seasons. Lastly, City continues to be a top 3 defense and Walker continues to just start every league game, which is so hard to predict under Pep Guardiola. With great fixtures and a decent attacking threat, Walker is firmly on my defender watchlist moving forward.

Walker has started all 20 league games this season and has completed 90 minutes in 19/20 off these games. You can probably say that he is “most nailed” defender in this Manchester City side.

Kevin De Bruyne MCI £10.5
Projected Points GW22-28: 36.7
Kevin De Bruyne made his long-awaited return with 2 assists in a 21-minute cameo for a massive 12-pointer.
Kevin De Bruyne in 21 minutes vs Newcastle(GW21):
- Shots- 2
- xG- 0.16
- xA- 0.3
- Chances created- 3
- Big chances created- 1
- Goals- 1
- Assists- 1
- Bonus Points – 3
- FPL Points- 12
De Bruyne enters the conversation on the watchlist as Manchester City has great upcoming fixtures, which include a DGW25. Over the next six GWs, Manchester City has the easiest fixtures, which raises KDB’s massive ceiling.
The issue with De Bruyne is the minutes, as he is still coming back from injury, so there is a chance he is not ready to start just yet. However, with Salah’s injury in the coming weeks, KDB could be a massive player to bring in if he keeps proving his fitness. As of now, I would wait to see how he does in GW22, but he should be on the radar of every FPL manager.

Ivan Toney BRE £8.0
Projected Points GW22-28: 41.4
The ever-reliable Toney made his long-awaited return with a nice free-kick goal and 8 points. Toney was able to prove he is back to full-match fitness as he was able to play all 90 minutes and looked great while on the pitch. The intriguing part for Toney is that he has the 7th easiest fixtures over the next 6 GWs, which includes his DGW25. Toney also has the pedigree and underlying numbers that make him one of the best forwards in the game. Double GWs are always a great way of climbing up the ranks, so putting yourself in a position to have a player like Toney can pay off massively.
