FPL GW12 Transfer Targets

William Saliba ARS Β£5.2

FPL GW12 Transfer Targets- Saliba

Projected Points GW12-14: 14.6

With the likes of Cash dealing with an injury and Tsimikas being benched in GW11, many managers are looking for defenders. I would opt for the safe option in Saliba, as he has great upcoming fixtures and plays for one of the best defenses in the league. Saliba has the 4th easiest schedule for defenders over the next six GWs, giving him a nice upside of points with good opportunities for clean sheets. Moreover, Arsenal is a great defense, allowing the second least xGC this season.

Arsenal Defense Rank this season:

  • xGC/90- 2nd
  • Clean Sheets- Joint 1st
  • Big Chances Conceded- 3rd
Arsenal fixtures from GW12-GW22

The only issue with Saliba is his lack of attacking threat, with a 0.05 xGI per 90 minutes. However, with these fixtures and assurance of minutes, Saliba is a player who is on my watchlist for GW12 and moving forward.

Saliba also ranks 1st for Expected Points for Defenders(<5.5 million) over the next 3 Gameweeks according to DraftHound’s Point prediction model. In fact, he is 2nd overall among defenders with only Trippier above him.

Bruno Fernandes MUN Β£8.3

FPL GW12 Transfer Targets-Bruno Fernandes

Projected Points GW12-14: 16.3

Maybe kneejerk, maybe not; nonetheless, fixtures are king, and with the upcoming fixtures that United have, Bruno Fernandes needs to be on our watchlists. Bruno was great in GW11 as his 11-pointer rewarded/saved many managers in an awful GW. Fernandes has the 6th easiest schedule over the next five GWs, which does include a tough fixture against Newcastle but 2 delicious home fixtures against Luton and Bournemouth. Fernandes does have good underlying stats this season, with a 0.55 xGI per 90 minutes. With penalties, good fixtures to attack, and assured for 90 minutes, Bruno is on my watchlist for the upcoming GW.

Bruno Fernandes Stats this season(Rank among Midfielders):

  • xA- 3.3(1st)
  • Chances created- 31(2nd)
  • Big Chances created- 6(3rd)
  • xGI- 6.3(4th)

Eddie Nketiah ARS Β£5.6

FPL GW12 Transfer Targets- Eddie Nketiah

Fun stat: Nketiah has scored 8 goals in the Premier League since the beginning of last season and seven of those goals have been at home in the Emirates stadium. His last PL away goal was against Brighton(31/12/22), He faces Burnley at home in GW12!

Projected Points GW12-14: 15.9

The hattrick hero in GW10 came back to earth with a blank in a tough fixture away at Newcastle. The key piece of information regarding Gabriel Jesus’ injury did raise Nketiah’s short-term value, as the Brazilian striker is expected to be out until early to mid-December. This is assuming there are no setbacks or easing into the team, and knowing Jesus’ injury history, this is far from assured. Arsenal has the 4th easiest schedule for attackers over the next six GWs, raising the Nketiah’s upside with those good fixtures.

Nketiah is ranked 2nd among Forwards for Expected Points over the next 3 Gameweeks with only Haaland above him. Nketiah also has good underlying stats with a 0.67 xGI per 90 minutes. at that price for the starting striker for a top 3 side, Nketiah is a gift that we should not ignore.

Note: Nketiah was injured and missed the midweek UCL game. Watch out for the latest news and press conference updates before getting him in.

Latest Update on Nketiah:

Martin Odegaard and Eddie Nketiah are β€˜racing against the clock’ to be ready for Saturday. β€˜They are trying their best, and they tried to be here today with us,’ Arteta said after the win over Sevilla. β€˜It wasn’t possible, and now we have another 48 hours before we play Burnley. We will try again, and we will see because we need players at the moment.’
