Of the Top 15 scorers of GW 11, only Bruno Fernandes has ownership of more than 10%. This was truly a GW from hell. Two Spurs defenders got -4; Haaland, Son, Salah, Saka, Watkins – all these popular premium assets blanked and even a score of 30 gave some of the managers a green arrow. But the good thing is the GW is behind us with very good fixtures in FPL Gameweek 12 looming large.
So, let’s start with our BUY-HOLD-SELL article for this GW, sponsored by …. Well, nobody. We are poor, but you can help here if you want 😊

FPL GW 12 Transfer Tips: Two Players to BUY
Evan Ferguson (£6.0m) – FWD – 8.1% TSB
No team has conceded more goals than Sheffield Utd this season. In GW 12, the Blades go to the Amex Stadium. Brighton is the 4th highest-scoring team in the league so far. They have scored more goals than even Arteta’s Arsenal and Ange-Ball Spurs. So, expect a goal fest in this fixture.
Ferguson will lead the line for BHA after starting in 4 successive games. Although most of the managers will go for Mitoma and understandably so, Ferguson might be the man to catapult you in your min leagues. In home matches this season, Ferguson has an xGI of 3.01 compared to Mitoma’s 2.81. Even in terms of FPL points, Ferguson leads Mitoma 34:29.
Anthony Gordon (£5.7m) – MID – 8.8% TSB
Bournemouth have conceded the second-highest goals in the league.
Newcastle have scored the second-highest goals in the league.
Do I need to say more?
Anthony Gordon leads Newcastle teammates in terms of NPxGI and is 2nd behind Trippier in terms of FPL points this season. With Isak out, and Wilson subbed off early in Germany owing to a tight hamstring, Gordon played OOP for the last half of the match. Though Wilson has a fighting chance to start, that might work in favour of Gordon’s appeal as he will have a potent striker to finish off his assists. Both ways, Gordon could be a sly differential this GW.

Last week Saka blanked for the 1st time since GW2. I know it has been tough to hold on to Saka since cheaper assets like Bowen and Mbeumo have been firing all cylinders. But if you own him, don’t sell him out of frustration this week. He is in good form after scoring and assisting against Sevilla on Wednesday.
Saka might be in for a big haul this GW. Even his medium-term fixtures look very good.
There remain some concerns after Bukayo Saka limped out after receiving a knock against Sevilla. But Arteta assured us – “It was just a kick and I was told by the physios on the radio that he wasn’t happy to continue so he will have some discomfort but hopefully, I want to assume that he will be ok.”

FPL GW 12 Transfer Tips: Two Players to SELL
Dan Burn (£4.7m) – DEF – 9.3% TSB
There’s something wrong with nailed-cheap Newcastle defenders. After Botman, it’s Burn’s turn to get injured and be a long-term absentee. Prior to Newcastle’s UEFA Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund, Eddie Howe mentioned that the left-back will be out for approximately two months which effectively rules out Burn for the rest of 2023.
So, it’s probably best to take the £0.1m gain (if you held him before the price rise) and shift to other cheap and performing defenders like Mitchell, Guehi, Pinnock, or even Burn’s team-mate Lascelles.

Chelsea Assets
Don’t get misguided by Chelsea’s performance against a 9-man Spurs. It is more of an exception than an example. Chelsea’s fixtures remain nightmarish with City up next paying a visit to Stamford Bridge. This will be followed by games against Newcastle, Brighton and Manchester United. Chelsea are ranked 20th in terms of FDR between GW 12-14.
Hence, if at all, you want to consider Chelsea assets, GW16 is the time. For now, sell them.
