Pros and Cons of FPL GW10 Wildcard

Pros of FPL GW10 Wildcard:

  • Get rid of teams with a tough run of fixtures and players who have been not performing like Rashford for instance
  • Target some budget enablers who have emerged in recent weeks to get as many premiums as possible

Cons of FPL GW10 Wildcard:

  • There’s a turn in fixtures for Aston Villa, Newcastle, and Spurs coming up from GW12/13 onwards so you need to plan accordingly
  • GW14 or GW19 Wildcard could be an option too if you already have players like Salah, Trippier in your team pre-wildcard.

FPL GW10 Wildcard Drafts

Note: Budget may vary for every manager based on their team value, if you fall short by 0.1/0.2 go for an alternative at that price point from the players to target list above.

FPL GW10 Wildcard Draft 1

  • All bases covered in this draft with Salah, Trippier, Saka, and Haaland in this draft
  • Salah is the highest-scoring player(75 points) in the league this season and is in great form(7 goals and 4 assists). He’s an absolute lock in the wildcard team.
  • Since GW5, Gordon has picked up 2 goals and 3 assists totaling 30 points, making him the 3rd highest-scoring midfielder during the period(Only behind Salah and Saka). This is in spite of the fact that he was suspended for GW9, Newcastle still have some excellent fixtures and Gordon is a great enabler!

  • Tsimikas is a great enabler now that Robertson is out for a while, he was on some corners too, and a great enabler to consider
  • Brighton’s tough game run is over, and Mitoma could be a great option again. The seagulls have (Fulham, Everton, Sheffield, and Forest) in the next four games all of them have good returns potential.

BrightonFUL(H)EVE(A)SHU(H)NFO(A)
  • Brighton are always an attacking side, they have scored 13 goals in the last six games(joint-fifth-highest in the league) in spite of their tough run of games.

ArsenalSHU(H)NEW(A)BUR(H)BRE(A)WOL(H)LUT(A)
  • Gabriel is a great enabler at just 4.7 Million, Arsenal have conceded only five goals(joint lowest) in the last six games with an xGC of only 5.22(2nd lowest in the league during the period)

FPL GW10 Wildcard Draft 2

FPL GW10 Wildcard Draft 2
  • A similar draft to the above one with Diaby(If you want to save money Douglas Luiz is a direct alternative to Diaby from Villa) and Palmer coming in the place of Mitoma and Gordon.
Aston Villa have now won 11 straight PL games at home!
  • Adingra is a good alternative to Palmer, March out with a long-term knee injury would mean Adingra’s minutes will be fairly secure.

FPL GW10 Wildcard Draft 3

FPL GW10 Wildcard Draft 3
  • A draft with Son + Salah + Haaland + Trippier, fitting in all the premium picks
  • Palmer is the 5th midfielder in this draft and he rotates well with Guehi as we saw in the beginning of the blog!

FPL GW10 Wildcard Draft 4(No Spurs draft)

FPL GW10 Wildcard Draft 4(No Spurs draft)
  • No Son/Maddison in this draft which has enabled to get Alvarez as the 3rd forward, The Argentinian attacker has 4 goals and 5 assists so far this season and returns consistently. He has also scored only 6 points fewer than Haaland!

FPL GW10 Wildcard Draft 5(No Spurs draft)

FPL GW10 Wildcard Draft 5(No Spurs drafts)
  • Another No Spurs assets draft with Bowen in this one, The Hammers talisman has now scored 6 goals and has also registered an assist already so far this season. He’s still only 7.3 Million offering great value at his price!

FPL GW10 Wildcard Draft 6(Without Haaland)

FPL GW10 Wildcard Draft 6(Without Haaland)
  • A no Haaland draft with a double up on Trent and Trippier in defence plus Son + Saka + Salah in midfield.
  • Archer could be a 4.3 forward, Turner could be a 3.9 Million Goalkeeper and you can upgrade Bowen(7.4 Million) to Martinelli(7.7 Million) in this draft.
  • Haaland can be brought back by downgrading Son plus Trippier or TAA later when Spurs and Newcastle have a tough run of fixtures starting GW13. Man City fixtures improve from GW15 onwards
