  • Saliba: Hopefully not (a serious injury). He’s been carrying that for weeks now. We had to use that time to settle & we believed it was the best moment to do that

Liverpool 

  • Robertson set for surgery on his dislocated shoulder & will be out for around 3 months 
  • Klopp on left-back options: It’s not just Kostas. He cannot play all the games from now on. Joe Gomez can also play the position. We have Luke Chambers & other young boys
  • Cody has trained once with the team so we will have to see. Stefan & Thiago are still out. Ben Doak has a little muscle thing
  • Klopp on SA players returning from INTL duty: This time it was much better, they were pretty quickly on the way back to England which makes a massive difference 

Spurs

  • No issues for players coming back from the INTL break including Son & Romero
  • Bentancur is back in full training, he’ll be eased In following a long-term injury. Johnson has trained well too & will be assessed

Newcastle United

  • Isak hasn’t trained with us yet, so we’re going to leave it late to see if he’s fit & available
  • Sven is improving and the two weeks have been good for him
  • Joelinton has trained well & should be available, Willock is progressing well but GW9 might be too soon

Man City

  • Man City have a fully-fit squad vs Brighton, with the exception of KDB
  • Rodri back as well following a 3-game suspension 

Chelsea

  • Palmer not on Chelsea’s injury list, which means he’s available 
  • James, Disasi & Jackson will be assessed today 
  • Fit enough for the bench: Badiashile
  • Injured: Broja, Chalobah, Chukwuemeka, Chilwell, Fofana, Lavia & Nkunku

Brighton 

  • Milner & Gross are available 
  • Estupinan & Tariq Lamptey are injured
  • Jakub Moder has started to work with the group

Crystal Palace 

  • Tomkins has picked up a fresh calf injury
  • Eze, Olise, Henderson & Schlupp are long-term absentees 
  • Franca, Ahamada, Riedewald, Ferguson, Ward, Lerma & Doucoure are all back 

Man United 

  • Reguilon, Varane likely to be back for the Sheffield game
  • Casemiro is out with a minor issue 
  • Amrabat has trained well after he missed the INTL games, and Mainoo is back in training too 

Bournemouth 

  • Kelly, Billing & Alex Scott progressing well & training with the team
  • Adams undergoes another surgery & will be out for 3-4 months 

Aston Villa 

  • No fresh injury concerns 
  • Ramsey & Moreno are out still along with Mings & Buendia 

West Ham 

  • The INTL lads seem okay
  • Cresswell and Ben Johnson are coming on & will be assessed 

Nottingham Forest

  • Montiel picked up a calf injury whilst away with Argentina & will be assessed
  • Felipe, Tavares, Ola Aina, and Danilo remain injured, Aurier went off vs Palace with an injury 
  •  Awoniyi is progressing well, he’s not far off from some training

Fulham 

  • No new injuries from INTL duty
  • Traore, Tete, and Tosin are still out, along with Issa Diop

Burnley 

  • Al Dakhil was subbed off vs Chelsea with an injury, but he’s progressed well & could feature in GW9
  • Beyer is not back yet, but the extent of the injury is not dramatic

Everton

  • The majority of the squad is fit and ready including Gueye 
  • Coleman is back in training but needs time to be ready 
  • Andre Gomes & Dele are long-term absentees

Brentford 

  • Flekken has recovered & will be available
  • Ben Mee has trained the whole week &  “could be available” 
  • Lewis Potter’s calf injury is not as bad as initially feared 

Sheffield United 

  • Baldock nearing return
  • Osborn could be back on the bench this week 
  • Basham, Davies, and Egan are all long-term absentees 

Wolves

  • Wolves have a couple of issues but Gary O’Neil refused to name them 
  •  Bellegarde returns but Lemina & Semedo are suspended

Luton Town

  • Mass Andersen is out for a long period, and Bell is also out but only short term 
  • Osho & Townsend could feature
