FPL GW7 Transfer Targets

Sven Botman NEW Β£4.7

Projected Points GW7-11: 20.2

Botman was absolutely sensational in GW6 with a nice 12-pointer thanks to his clean sheet and scoring his first Newcastle goal. Botman should remain high on everyone’s transfer watchlist as his fixtures are great moving forward, and his price allows managers to buy the more expensive premium attackers such as Salah, Son, etc. Newcastle’s fixtures are just great, with the 3rd easiest schedule for defenders over the next six GWs.

Botman has also shown better attacking threat this season with a 0.12 xGI this season. With great fixtures, good for bonus points, and a price that allows you to add other expensive premiums into your team, Botman is a great transfer this GW.

Moussa Diaby AVL Β£6.6

Projected Points GW7-11: 25.3

Diaby has been impressive this season with 2 goals and 2 assists and keeps playing out of position in a striker partnership with Watkins. Diaby should be on every manager’s watchlist as the much-discussed GW9/10 fixture swing is coming, and Aston Villa’s fixtures are about to turn extremely favorable. Over the next six GWs, Diaby has the easiest schedule for attackers, which just raises his upside.

One worry about Diaby is that he is overperforming his underlying stats with 2 attacking returns from an xGI of 0.40. Nonetheless, Diaby has shown his haul potential, especially in favorable fixtures, so managers on a wildcard or those planning ahead should look to bring in the Villa forward, as by GW10, he will be a template pick.

Honorable Mention: Anthony Gordon NEW Β£5.6

Carlton Morris LUT Β£5.6

Projected Points GW7-11: 23.8

A transfer target last GW, Morris did not disappoint, scoring a penalty in GW6 for a nice 9-pointer for his managers. Morris now has a great DGW against two of the worst defenses in the league in, Everton and Burnley.

Goals Conceded Rank:

Burnley19th
EvertonJoint 15th

Yes, Luton Town has also been awful, and Morris does not have a Non-Penalty xGI of even 1. However, in FPL, you need to put yourself in a position to get lucky and chase the upside, which makes Morris a good pick in GW7. Morris is also the perfect pick for those managers trying to wildcard soon as his fixtures turn tough from GW10 onwards, so managers can get him in for the double and hold him until the wildcard around that time. A nailed striker with penalties and a great DGW, Morris is a great upside pick in GW7, especially for those who own the suspended Jackson.
