Top FPL GW32 Differential Picks (<10% ownership)

Solanke vs West Ham(H), £5.5m, TSB: 3.1%

Top FPL GW32 Differential Picks (<10% ownership) ~ Solanke vs West Ham(H), £5.5m, TSB: 3.1%

Solanke did the Jackpot in GW31 vs Spurs with a 15-point haul courtesy of 1 goal, and 2 assists. It was not a lucky haul as he was due a big haul with brilliant underlying numbers in the weeks before that. Since GW29, he has topped most of the underlying attacking numbers as seen by the below numbers.

Solanke’s Attacking Rank in League Since GW29:

  • Shots inside the box- 1st
  • Shots on Target- 3rd
  • Expected Goal Involvement- 2nd
  • Big Chances-Joint 2nd
  • Expected Assists- 7th

For a forward, he is really good at providing goals as well. He has the most assists(9) among forwards this season and is ranked 5th overall- Only behind KDB, Saka, Pereira, and Trossard.

West Ham are not really good away from home and have won only 2 games on the road this season- One of the reasons they are fighting relegation. The hammers have kept only 2 clean sheets all season in away games and generally are flat while traveling. The Hammers also have conceded 54% chances through the middle in the away games which offers an excellent matchup for Solanke.

He is an excellent differential option on Free Hit. Coming in at just 5.5 million, Solanke could well settle in as the 3rd forward for the rest of the season even for those without the Free Hit Chip.

Cody Gakpo vs Nottingham Forest(H), TSB: 4.7%, £7.6m

Top FPL GW32 Differential Picks (<10% ownership) ~ Cody Gakpo

Gakpo operates as a striker and plays higher up the pitch which can be seen from his heatmap and average position map in GW31 vs Leeds below(Jersey 18), but he is listed as a midfielder in the game which means one more point for each goal scored and an extra point whenever Liverpool keep a clean sheet.

Gakpo(18) average position and heatmap vs Leeds in GW31 via Sofascore

Gakpo did look brilliant in the 1-6 thumping over Leeds with a goal and assist for 10 FPL points. He was also the Liverpool attacker with the highest xGI(1.1) against Leeds showcasing both goal-scoring and assist potential.

Since his debut(FPL GW20), Gakpo has scored 5 goals which is second only to Salah(8) amongst Liverpool attackers. He has also had 8 big chances during the period which is just one less than Salah’s big chances(9)

55% of chances conceded(joint 4th Worst) by Nottingham Forest since the world cup break have come from the middle where Gakpo operates giving him a good matchup as well in FPL GW32.

Alexander Isak vs Spurs(H), £6.7m, TSB: 6.4%

Top FPL GW32 Differential Picks (<10% ownership) ~ Alexander Isak

Isak has been one of our favourite Differential picks ever since he is fully fit and back to starting games. Surprisingly he is still owned by just 6.4% of the total FPL managers. Since GW27, Isak has scored 5 goals from 6 games fetching 35 points in the process. His underlying numbers during this time is also good- 4 Big Chances, 3.8 xGI and 13 Shots inside the box.

Matchup alert:

Coming to the fag end of the season, we should start counting Spurs as “Poor defensive side”. Spurs did look really poor vs Bournemouth in GW31 conceding 3 goals(1.9 nPxGA). It has not been one off, Spurs are defensively bad in recent weeks consistently conceding more than 1.0 nPxGA per game. In previous weeks, Spurs conceded 1.4 nPxGA in GW30 vs Brighton and 1.3 nPxGA in GW29 vs Everton and 1.6 nPxGA in GW28 vs Southampton.

Spurs do concede lot of chances from the center. In fact, Spurs have conceded 17 chances from the center over the last 6 games which is the 5th highest among all teams. In GW30, the forward(Solanke) who went up against Spurs racked up 1 goal, 2 assists to get a 15 point haul.

Note: Newcastle have one more Double Gameweek this season which is likely to be in GW36. So Isak can be a good pick even for those who are not Free Hitting this week.

Eze vs Everton(H), £5.5m, TSB: 6.2%

Top FPL GW32 Differential Picks (<10% ownership) ~ Eze

Eze has always been a talented player with a lot of potential but his minutes has been a risk this season. But ever since Hodgson took over, Eze has played 90 minutes in each of the three games contrary to seven sub appearances in eight games before Roy took over. Eze has 3 goals, 1 assist and 28 points from the last 3 games.

Palace attackers since Roy took over:

Eze tops all the metrics for “Goal Threat” while Olise tops it for “Creator”. Eze has the Most shots(9), Most Big chances(2), and Best xG(1.5) among Palace players and has 3 goals to show for. With Zaha ruled out for GW32 as well due to injury, Palace should continue to operate the same way.

Everton’s Defensive woes:

We have to break the myth that Dyche’s teams are not always defensively strong. This Everton is particularly not strong, especially without Doucoure. Doucoure has missed the last 2 games due to suspension and Everton’s defense has been horrible to say the least. He will miss GW32 vs Palace as well to complete the 3-game suspension. Everton have conceded a Whopping 50 shots over the last 2 games.

Everton defense numbers over the last 2 Gameweeks(Defense Rank):

  • xGC- 6.05(20th)
  • Big Chances Conceded- 10(19th)
  • Shots Conceded- 50(20th)
  • Shots inside the box conceded- 31(19th)
  • Goals Conceded- 5(3rd)

FPL GW32 Ultra Differential Picks(Around 1%)

Jacob Ramsey vs Brentford(A), £5.2m, TSB: 1.4%

FPL GW32 Ultra Differential Pick(<=1% ownership) ~ Jacob Ramsey vs Brentford(A)

Yes. You are reading it right, Jacob Ramsey it is. The £5.2m midfielder from Aston Villa who has more FPL points than Salah, Haaland, Kane, TAA, and Martinelli since GW28! Ramsey has been in amazing form since GW28 getting 2 goals, and 3 assists from 5 games fetching 36 points in the process. The underlying numbers have also been good during this period with 4 Big Chances Involvements, xGI- 2.4, 8 shots inside the box, and 10 key passes. He is clearly Villa’s most attacking player after Watkins backed by up numbers and eye test.

Ramsey in numbers:

  • Since GW28, Ramsey has the 2nd Highest for FPL points(36) in the game only behind Watkins(45).
  • Joint 1st for Goal Involvements among Midfielders(5) since GW28.

Matchup alert:

Ramsey plays as a LM/Left Winger for Aston Villa which is Brentford’s right flank. Since GW27, Brentford have conceded 17 chances from their right flank which is the 4th highest among all the teams in the league.

Ramsey Heat Map since the World Cup:

Players performing well on Brentford’s right flank in recent weeks:

  • GW31- Hwang- Goal
  • GW30- Joelinton- Assist
  • GW29- Mitoma- Goal
  • GW29- Rashford- Goal
  • GW28- Barnes- Goal
  • GW27- Mcneill- Goal
  • GW26- Solomon- Goal
  • GW25- Blank Gameweek for Brentford
  • GW24- Eze- Goal
  • GW23- Trossard- Goal

In short, Don’t be surprised to see the Ramsey’s name on this list after GW32!

Jota vs vs Nottingham Forest(H), TSB: 1.0%, £8.7m

FPL GW32 Forwards Analysis ~ Diogo Jota

Diogo Jota looked ordinary for a while since he returned from injury but has found form once again after registering a brace against Leeds. He’s a player that thrives on confidence and is streaky with his goals coming in bulk.

In GW31 vs Leeds, he had the most shots on goal amongst Liverpool players(5), out of which 2 were on target, three were from inside the box, and totalled an xG of 0.59 which was close to Salah’s xG of 0.63 vs Leeds. Liverpool have a 58% odds of scoring 2+ goals which is the highest this week and they could score heavily once again. Jota is a perfect punt on a free hit with the fixture and form both favoring him this week.

Tip: Jota is worth a punt on Free Hit, but to get him on a Free transfer/getting him on a hit is little bit risky.
