All Premier League Teams Predicted GW31 Lineups

Arsenal

Arsenal gave up a 2-0 first-half lead to be held 2-2 by Liverpool at Anfield. The Gunners had a chance to maintain the 8-point lead at the top but now it’s down to 6 points with one game in hand for Manchester City. Martinelli and Jesus were the goalscorers for Arsenal.

Four yellow cards were picked up by the Gunners but no injuries or suspensions were picked up by the players.

William [Saliba] is still not available. He’s progressing well and we are hopeful we’ll have him available in the next few weeks, but we’ll have to see.

Arteta added that Saliba is close to starting training with the squad.

On Eddie Nketiah:

Eddie is back and is fully fit now.

Arteta added that Nketiah is available for selection this weekend.

Aston Villa

Villa managed to win their fourth game in a row meaning that they are now unbeaten in their last 5 league games. A 2-0 win at home against Forest ensures Aston Villa’s move to the sixth position in the table. Traore and Watkins scored one goal each for the Lions.

Three yellow cards were picked up by the Villa players. Leon Bailey limped out off the game vs Forest in 28th minute due to an injury and was replaced by Traore who now has 2 goals from the last 2 games(both coming in as a sub). He will be the direct replacement for Bailey.

Aston Villa GW31 Formation:

  • 4-4-2

Aston Villa GW31 Predicted Lineup:

Aston Villa PC/Injury Updates:

Unai Emery’s press conference focused on the team morale at Villa, Ashley Young’s form, room for improvement in defense and on their weekend opponents, Newcastle United (via avfc.co.uk).

Emery on Young

“I am happy with him, he uses his experience to help the team and I appreciate this a lot.”

Bournemouth

The Cherries managed to come away with a 1-0 win against Leicester City at King Power courtesy of a Philip Billing goal. Alternating results mean Bournemouth now has 3 wins and 2 losses in their last five games.

Three yellow cards were picked up by Bournemouth but no injuries or suspensions were picked up by the players. Sensei is back fit now and should replace Mepham for GW31.

Bournemouth GW31 Predicted Formation:

  • 4-4-1-1

Bournemouth GW31 Predicted Lineup:

Bournemouth PC/Injury Updates:

Updates from Gary O’Neil’s press conference ahead of their match against Tottenham (via afcb.co.uk).

On Marcos Senesi:

Marcos Senesi has done bit of work and we hope to have him in the squad. It’s certainly good to have Marcos back around it ahead of this weekend.

On Hamed Traore:

Hamed Traore will miss out, he’s not quite ready sadly.

On Illia Zabarnyi:

Illia Zabarnyi is getting fitter all the time.

On other injury updates:

Everyone that was available for the last one is still available for this one, so we’re in a pretty good place.

Brentford

Back-to-back losses for Brentford after a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United at home. The Bees now only have one win in their last five league games and are down to the ninth position in the table. Ivan Toney scored a penalty in the first half after missing one earlier in the half.

No cards were picked up by the Brentford players meaning no suspensions were picked up in the camp as well. Pontus Jansson was subbed off in the 16th minute due to a hamstring injury. Zanka came on to replace him. In GW31, Brentford are likely to change to a 4-3-3 formation rather than a 3-5-2 which they use in the big games. This means either Schade/Wissa could come into the front 3 joining Toney and Mbuemo.

It is to be noted that Toney is one yellow card away for a 2-game suspension.

Brentford GW31 Predicted Formation:

  • 4-3-3

Brentford GW31 Predicted Lineup:

Brentford PC/Injury Updates:

Updates from Thomas Frank’s press conference ahead of their match against Wolves (via brentfordfc.com).

On Pontus Jansson:

It’s a hamstring injury that will most likely keep him out for the rest of the season. It’s bad news for us and for Pontus. There’s a small chance [he returns], but it’s a big one unfortunately. I would prefer to have Pontus, no doubt about that. He’s our captain and a very important player for us. It’s a setback, but it is what it is, and we have to deal with it.

Brighton

Brighton was at the wrong end of a 2-1 result against Tottenham. Lewis Dunk scored the only goal for the Seagulls. This result means that Brighton has now lost for the first time in their last five league games.

A red card was picked up by the Seagulls but it was the gaffer who picked up one due to a sideline tussle between the two managers. Apart from that, only one yellow card was picked up by the Brighton players but no injuries or suspension concerns in the Brighton camp. Colwill is ineligible to face his parent club Chelsea. Steele left the training session just after warmup due to a slight issue but should be okay to play.

Brighton GW31 Predicted Lineup:

Brighton PC/Injury Updates:

Updates from Roberto de Zerbi’s press conference ahead of their match against Chelsea (via brightonandhovealbion.com).

On team news:

There’s no big news. There are some problems but not so important. I want to see ‘keeper, I want to see the defenders. I want to see tomorrow morning before we decide the starting XI.

Chelsea

From bad to worse for the Blues as they have failed to register a win in their last four league games after a 1-0 defeat to Wolves away from home. Things don’t seem to be taking a turn for the better under the new manager as well.

FOUR yellow cards were picked up by the Chelsea players but no injuries or suspensions were picked up by the Blues.

Lampard mentioned in the pre-match interview that he will rotate the squad for the next match. Chilwell should hold on to his place as he is suspended for Champions league second leg. Mudryk, Pulisic, Aubameyang could all get some minutes. Havertz/Aubameyang will be a close call.

Chelsea GW31 Predicted Formation:

  • 4-3-3

Chelsea GW31 Predicted Lineup:

Chelsea PC/Injury Updates:

Updates from Frank Lampard’s press conference ahead of their match against Brighton (via chelseafc.com).

On Koulibaly:

He won’t be available for either game. It’s a hamstring injury and it will be a matter of weeks rather than days.

On possible rotation:

‘Secondly I want to be part of a process in this period where players have an opportunity if they train well. If they deserve to play they get an opportunity on the pitch and they show what they can do.

‘So tomorrow will be an opportunity for players who didn’t play in the Champions League or at the weekend to come in, because it’s a game when we absolutely need freshness and energy.’

On Kante:

“‘Off the back of a four-month injury we have to manage him at the same time, because when you have N’Golo fit he’s clearly one of the best midfield players in the world. I think you see in his performances in Madrid and against Liverpool last week that, having just come back from injury, he’s not slowing down. When he plays he always offers massive output and massive quality.

Other injuries:

Chukwuemeka and Broja remain out for Chelsea.

Crystal Palace

The Eagles feasted on Leeds winning 5-1 away from home. Palace now has back-to-back wins under their returning manager, Roy Hodgson. Jordan Ayew came out with a brace for Crystal Palace.

Only one yellow card was picked up by the Palace players but there are no new injuries or suspensions in the Eagles camp. Hodgson confirmed that Zaha, Guaita are ruled out for GW31, but are targetting a return before the end of the month.

Crystal Palace GW31 Predicted Formation:

  • 4-3-3

Crystal Palace GW31 Predicted Lineup:

Crystal Palace PC/Injury Updates:

Updates from Roy Hodgson’s press conference ahead of their match against Southampton (via cpfc.co.uk).

On Nathaniel Clyne:

The player we have lost this week is Nathaniel Clyne. He’s felt his knee, so unfortunately we won’t have the benefits of Nathaniel for this game. We don’t believe it’s a long-term injury, but when the knee flares up a little bit, it’s kept him out of training for the last three days so he can’t play tomorrow.

On Chris Richards:

Chris Richards has now come back from his injury – so it’s a straight swap.

On Guaita and Zaha:

It’s dangerous to say, but both are making very good progress. Certainly both of them will be targeting games at the end of this month. That’s their target, but we have to be careful. They will have to be cleared by the medical people and they realise that. If it were purely up to them, they will be chomping at the bit to play at the end of April.

Everton

Another defeat for Everton, this time at Old Trafford losing 2-0. This makes it their 15th loss of the season. Everton now has only one win in their last five league games and is managing to stay just out of the relegation zone on goal difference.

No cards were picked up by the Toffees meaning no new suspensions in the camp. Seamus Coleman picked up an injury and was subbed off. Nathan Patterson might start in place of him for the match against Fulham.

Everton GW31 Predicted Formation:

  • 4-4-2

Everton GW31 Predicted Lineup:

Everton PC/Injury Updates:

Updates from Sean Dyche’s press conference ahead of their match against Fulham (via evertonfc.com).

On Seamus Coleman:

He’s got a niggly hamstring that’ll need time to settle down a bit. He’s been in fine form so that’s another awkward one for us. He shouldn’t be too long but he won’t make it for the weekend.

On Dominic Calvert-Lewin:

The truth is, he’s training and going along well.

On Nathan Patterson (potentially starting as right back in place of Coleman):

It’s more the game time with Patterson; coming back after an injury, and spending time out. It’s game time as much as anything but he’s certainly in the thinking.

On Andros Townsend:

It was a serious knee injury. He’s had his ups and downs, but he seems to be in a better place with his injury and how that’s going. We’ve just got to monitor it as the weeks go by. We’re working with him, and he’s working very hard himself.

Fulham

Fulham went down 1-0 to West Ham at home courtesy of an own goal from Reed in the first half. Fulham was not able to come out with a win despite having made three times as many passes and having had 76% of the ball possession during the match. They have now lost 4 games in a row and are winless in their last five league games.

Carlos Vinicius picked up the only yellow card for Fulham in the match. Mitrovic will continue to serve his suspension(2 games completed out of his 8 game ban). Vinicius did look poor and could be replaced by Solomon despite that not being his natural position.

Fulham GW31 Predicted Formation:

Fulham GW31 Predicted Lineup:

Fulham PC/Injury Updates:

Marco Silva’s press conference mainly focused on the season so far, talking about his counterpart in Sean Dyche and his performance this season and about his return to Goodison Park since his time as a manager at Everton (via fulhamfc.com). Silva confirmed that there are no fresh injuries and all the players from last week are available.

Leeds United

Leeds United was defeated 5-1 at home by a traveling Crystal Palace side. Bamford scored the opening goal of the match in the 21st minute. Leeds now has 2 wins and 2 losses along with one draw in their last five games.

Three yellow cards were picked up by the Leeds players but no new injuries or new suspension concerns in the camp. Firpo/Ayling could be dropped this week after their horrendous outing vs Palace in which they lost 5-1. Kristensen could come in for Ayling. Wober will be a last minute fitness call and if he is fit he will come in for Struijk.

Leeds United PC/Injury Updates:

Updates from Javi Gracia’s press conference ahead of their match against Liverpool (via bbc.com).

On potential absentees:

We have some players with different issues but there are still two days until the game. We have to evaluate and decide.

On Wober:

“To be honest, I don’t know yet. He’s training some days with the team but we have two days more before the game. It’s something we have to see during the next days.”

Leicester City

The Foxes have lost three games in a row and have failed to register a win in their last five league games after going down to Bournemouth 1-0 at home. They are now trickling down in the relegation zone in the 19th position.

No cards were picked up by Leicester meaning there are no new injuries or suspensions in the camp.

Leicester City GW31 Predicted Formation:

  • 4-3-3

Leicester City GW31 Predicted Lineup:

Leicester City PC/Injury Updates:

Updates from Dean Smith’s press conference ahead of their match against Manchester City (via lcfc.com).

On Youri Tielemans:

He’s available for selection. He hasn’t done a lot of minutes in training. We’ll asses whether he can start or come on as a substitute.

On Harvey Barnes:

Harvey Barnes will be out certainly on Saturday. He’s touch and go for next Saturday.

On Ricardo Pereira:

Ricky felt his hamstring after the game last week. His looks a little worse than Harvey’s so I think he’ll be out for a few weeks.

On Jonny Evans:

Evans has trained this week as well but not sure whether he will feature against Manchester City.

Liverpool

Liverpool managed to hold the league leaders in Arsenal 2-2 at home after coming back from 2-0 down. Despite this, the Reds have only one win in their last five games and find themselves in the eighth position in the league.

FOUR yellow cards were picked up by the Liverpool players but there are no new injuries or suspensions in the camp. Luis Diaz will be in squad coming back from an injury. Konate and Alisson didn’t train due to knocks but should be fine to start as per Klopp.

Liverpool GW31 Predicted Formation:

  • 4-3-3

Liverpool GW31 Predicted Lineup:

Liverpool PC/Injury Updates:

Updates from Jurgen Klopp’s press conference ahead of their match against Leeds United (via liverpoolfc.com).

On Luis Diaz:

Yeah, he’s 100 per cent ready in training so that’s it now. He is now completely normal in training and now we have to reintegrate him. He will be in the squad, if nothing happens Luis will be in the squad and from there we go. That’s it.

On Thiago Alcantara:

Super-important of course, Thiago as well – he was not out that long but it was long as well. It’s insane how quick time goes. It is a different situation [to Diaz], obviously. Thiago is a candidate for starting and when he is fresh he is a top, top, top player and that’s why we are really happy to have him back and in training so far it looks all good.

On other injury updates:

Ibou [Konate] couldn’t train for two days, should be back today hopefully, Ali [Allison] wasn’t involved for two days, will train today individually. So, a little bit illness here, a little bit knocks there. We had a few problems and hopefully will not get more, but if they are all in then I think we have five or six players not in the [matchday] squad. It’s a lot and they are all training well. It would be easy for me if somebody is not showing up then it’s a very easy decision, but there are no easy decisions for who stays at home and stuff like this. So that’s tough for a few boys but really good for us. We never had that and that’s positive.

Manchester City

Defending champions, Manchester City came up with another win and are five out of five in their last five league games closing the gap up at the top to Arsenal. Haaland picked up yet another brace for Manchester City en route to the win.

Two yellow cards were picked up by the City players but there are no new injuries or suspensions in the City camp. City won the midweek Champions League 3-0 as well against Bayern Munich. De Bruyne was taken off during the second half which Pep confirmed as “tactical”.

Pep Guardiola on Haaland after the match (via goal.com):

His talent is really good. We need him. The first half was not our best level but he changed the game. As a top scorer we lived two incredible decades with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi but he is on that level. He scores a lot of goals.

Manchester City PC/Injury Updates:

Updates from Pep Guardiola’s press conference ahead of their match against Leicester City (via mancity.com).

On Phil Foden:

I think he feels better. I spoke with the doctors three days ago and he feels better but still he’s not ready. I don’t know [when he will be ready]. When he starts training you will know it from our social media and after that he will be close to coming back but still he cannot train with us.

Manchester United

Perfect match for United as they defeated Everton 2-0 at home. McTominay and Martial were the goalscorers for the Red Devils as they managed to keep a clean sheet and not pick up any cards during the match. Rashford, Varane and Martinez are all ruled out for GW31 due to injuries. Rashford is likely to miss “few matches” while Martinez is ruled out for the rest of the season. Ten Haag also hinted there is a chance that Rashford returns for the Europa league second leg which happens after GW31.

Shaw(if fit) could also fill in as CB ahead of Lindelof and Malacia taking up the LB slot.

Manchester United GW31 Predicted Lineup:

Manchester United PC/Injury Updates:

Updates from Erik Ten Hag’s press conference ahead of their match against Nottingham Forest (via manutd.com).

On Martinez and Varane:

Ten Hag confirmed that both Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane will miss the match this weekend.

No, sorry. It is not even 24 hours so I don’t have complete diagnosis, so I can’t tell in this moment.

On players returning:(Shaw and Mctominay)

For Sunday? Yeah, [there] could be, but we have to see. We have now two sessions to go of training, so I don’t know by now, but it can be that Scott and Luke(Shaw) return in the squad, but [I’m] not sure.

On if Martial can play 90 minutes

“So maybe he can, but it’s a risk and we can’t take that risk in this moment, because we don’t have so many options in the frontline with Rashford injured, with Garnacho injured. We don’t have so many options there, so we have to be careful and also in [an] individual prospect, we know when there is a lot of load he gets injured. So we have to build it and, especially when the games are coming quick after each other, the recovery time is less. We have to take that also in mind and manage that very well and very carefully.”

Newcastle United

The Magpies are really turning their season around after a bad patch of runs during the midseason. The 2-1 comeback win against Brentford away from home meant that Newcastle is only one of two sides who have managed to win their last five league games. They are in third position and are giving a tough fight for a Champions League spot for next season.

Isak scored the winning goal for Newcastle. Two yellow cards were picked up by the Magpies but there are no new injuries or suspensions in the Newcastle camp.

Newcastle United PC/Injury Updates:

Updates from Eddie Howe’s press conference ahead of their match against Aston Villa (via nufc.co.uk).

On Saint-Maximan:

I don’t think it’s a serious injury but he’s away getting treatment at the moment. He’s not with us but hopefully, at some stage, he’ll come back and be available very soon.

On Miguel Almiron:

He’s done really well. He’s ahead of schedule so fingers crossed he gets through training and could be available very soon. There’s a possibility (of being involved for the trip to Villa). We’ll need to see how he trains today. He’s had limited training time but he’s looked really good.

Nottingham Forest

Forest was defeated 2-0 away from home at Aston Villa. This makes it four losses and one draw in their last five games for Nottingham Forest. They find themselves in the relegation zone.

FOUR yellow cards were picked up by the Forest players in the match but there are no suspensions in the Forest camp. Moussa Niakhate picked up an injury late in the match and went off injured. Cooper mentioned in the pre-match press that “We don’t have players returning” which means that Aurier, Lodi, Yates are all still out.

“We don’t have any players returning. Scott McKenna back on the bench last week so that’s a positive and he is closer to starting.

“It’s not an ideal situation but not one we’re going to dwell on. We have to focus on the guys who can play in the next game.”

Southampton

Southampton was thrashed 4-1 at home by a traveling Manchester City side. Sekou Mara scored the only goal for Southampton in the match. No wins in their last five games mean that Southampton is still finding it difficult to get out of the relegation zone and move up from the last position.

Lavia had a hamstring issue in the City game but Selles didnt talk about it which means that he is likely to be fit.

Southampton GW31 Predicted Formation:

Southampton GW31 Predicted Lineup:

Southampton Injury/PC Updates:

Updates from Ruben Selles’ press conference ahead of their match against Crystal Palace (via southamptonfc.com).

On Tino Livramento:

Tino Livramento is playing today for the B team as part of his rehab and hopefully, all going well, he will then be with us.

On Che Adams:

Ché Adams is not coming back [this weekend] unfortunately.

On Mohammed Salisu:

Salisu neither is coming back. He had some problems in some of the games for us, for example at Chelsea, and then he went with the national team and felt it again. When he came back we needed to put him into the injury process and he was expected also today to play for the B team to get the injury problem resolved if it was good, but he didn’t feel great so is not available either. It’s related to his hip abductor. He had problems before during the season and it just got worse so they are trying to treat that.

On Juan Larios:

Juan Larios still has a long-term injury.

On Mislav Orsic:

Mislav Oršić had a hip problem during the week and is not going to be available.

Spurs

After a 2-1 win over Brighton at home, Spurs now have only one defeat in their last five games and comfortably in the fifth position in the league table. Son and Kane were the goalscorers for Tottenham in the match.

No cards were picked up by the players although the gaffer, Stellini picked up a red card along with the Brighton manager after a feud in the sidelines.

Spurs GW31 Predicted Lineup:

Spurs Injury/PC Updates:

Updates from Cristian Stellini’s press conference ahead of their match against Bournemouth (via tottenhamhotspur.com).

On Richarlison and Danjuma:

Richarlison has worked well this week, he’s had one week more to feel better. Last week he was on the bench but only with one training session and it was a long period without him so we didn’t want to take risks with him. Now he feels better but also we have Danjuma ready to play, so we can use Richarlison and Arnaut as well.

On Ben Davies and Emerson:

They are doing a good recovery, they are pushing. With the doctor, we are linked every day, we are trying to do our best, but they are not ready to play the next match.

Other updates:

Yves Bissouma (ankle), Rodrigo Bentancur (knee) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) remain sidelined. Lucas Moura will serve the second out of his three-match ban against Bournemouth.

West Ham

The Hammers came away with a 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage. This makes it two wins in their last five games for West Ham as they find themselves outside of the relegation zone by just 3 points.

Declan Rice picked up a yellow card during the match but there are no new injuries or suspensions in the Hammers’ camp. There could be plenty on rotation against Arsenal in GW31 as there is the 2nd leg of Conference Cup Quarter Finals vs Genk(first leg 1-1) in next mid week. Cresswell/Emerson, Kehrer/Coufal, Soucek/Fornals are all 50-50 calls as it will be interesting to see how Moyes approaches this game.

Wolves

Wolves came out with a 1-0 win against a struggling Chelsea side. Nunes was the goalscorer for Wolves. Ruben Neves missed this match due to suspension and is set to miss the next match against Brentford as well. Jonny is still suspended as well.

Two yellow cards were picked up by Wolves but there are no new injuries or suspensions in the Wolverhampton camp.

Wolves GW31 Predicted Lineup:

Wolves PC/Injury Updates:

Updates from Julen Lopetegui’s press conference ahead of their match against Brentford (via wolves.co.uk).

On injuries in the camp:

At the moment we don’t have an update on injuries, fortunately. We have to choose from the players that are ready.

On Jimenez:

Raul is one player more. He’s trying to recover his space. This is the aim for any player, the commitment to fight in their daily work here, trying to find a space and he’s trying for sure.

On Ait-Nouri:

Rayan the same, he’s one player, he has played here and he’s fighting inside, and other teammates are trying to do the same. Our job is to choose and their work is to fight to win the space in the team. Of course, it’s good always for the team.
