With the FPL GW29 Deadline approaching, we look to the Bookmakers and Prediction Models to give us an idea of which teams and players are expected to haul. A lot can be drawn from these probability and prediction models if we are able to break them down. In this article, we will perform the analysis on a team level as well as a player level by taking a deeper look at the FPL GW29 Odds.

FPL GW29 Odds Preview
Teams with Haul Potential in FPL GW29
Arsenal (50%) & Man City (38%)
The top 2 teams on the Over 2 Goals metric for DGW29 are surprisingly single gameweek teams and they are none other than the teams at the top of the Premier League. League leaders Arsenal face Leeds at the Emirates and with Tyler Adams set to miss out due to injury, there is every chance Arsenal will wreak havoc on Leeds. With Arsenal out of European competitions and domestic cups, you can be sure that they will go all out for all their remaining Premier League games. As for City, they face a Liverpool team that have struggled for consistency at the back, and with the form that Erling Haaland has been in, you would not put it past City to bang more than 2 goals past Man City.

Brighton (33% + 19%) & Man Utd (17% + 31%)
Brighton and Man Utd are the top 2 teams among those with a double gameweek. This makes for great viewing especially since these 2 teams are the only ones in the league with a double gameweek in 29, 34, and 37(Brighton additionally will mostly double in GW36 too). A good double gameweek in FPL GW29 for Brighton and Man Utd makes it a no-brainer to transfer them in, with an eye on those DGW34 fixtures as well. However, they will blank in GW32 which could be tricky for those without a Free Hit Chip in their back pocket.

Teams Predicted to Keep Clean Sheet in FPL GW29
Arsenal (52%) & Man City (40%)
Once again, Arsenal and City find themselves at the top of the odds, this time the Clean Sheet Odds. Though a clean sheet for Arsenal is expected, it is rather surprising to see City given 40% and come in second on the table, given that they face Liverpool in GW29. City have been in great form of late and there is every chance we see them keep a clean sheet against Liverpool at the Etihad, but it would be foolish to completely rule out the Liverpool attackers – especially Salah who tops the predicted points metric this week.

Brighton (40% + 36%) & West Ham (45% + 24%)
The top 2 among all the teams with a double gameweek are Brighton and West Ham. Brighton face Brentford and Bournemouth and have been given 40% and 36% to keep a clean sheet in those games respectively. Assets like Estupinan and Steele will be widely popular among FPL Managers, especially with Steele being priced at such a bargain. As for West Ham, 2 home fixtures as well as the return of Zouma from a long spell on the sidelines should give them a much-needed defensive boost and bookies have given them a 45% chance to keep a clean sheet against Southampton, and a 24% chance to do the same against Newcastle.

FPL GW29 Predicted Points
Salah (12.4 Predicted Points)
A statistic that would likely come as a surprise to the majority of FPL managers is that Salah tops the predicted points metric for DGW29. Given that he plays City and Chelsea both away, you would imagine FPL managers avoiding him for this week. However, DraftHound has given him 12.4 predicted points and backed the Egyptian King to return heavily. Based on past performances, Salah has always shown up in big matches and is extremely reliable against tough opposition. Seeing he would be somewhat of a differential, Salah could be the midfielder to go for this week!

Rashford (11.9 Predicted points)
Rashford is currently yellow-flagged due to a knock he got against Fulham just before the international break which ruled him out of England’s games. He is back in training and should be fit and ready for the double. You would also back him to keep up his incredible form this season which makes him a strong captaincy choice this week.

Mitoma (11.1 Predicted points)
Third, on the table is Mitoma with 11.1 predicted points. The Brighton superstar has really caught the eye of late and he scored a goal for Japan over the international break as well. De Zerbi will be counting on him as well as other attackers like March and Mac Allister to fight for European places as we approach the final leg of the season.
