FPL GW25 Scout Picks

Stats from Fantasy Football Scout

FPL GW25 Scout Picks- Goalkeeper

Jose Sa edges out Pickford for the Goal Keeper slot. Wolves have a Double in GW25 against Liverpool and Fulham. Wolves have 6 clean sheets this season and Sa got the maximum bonus points in three of these games with Sa’s hauls reading 15 points vs Fulham in GW2, 14 points against Forest in GW11 and 10 points against West Ham in GW20. So if Wolves manage one clean sheet from these 2 games, you could easily see a Double Digit haul from Sa.

Even if Wolves miss out on a clean sheet this Gameweek, there could be save points for Sa.

FPL GW25 Scout Picks Defenders

Alexander Arnold is a good defender option to attack the Double Gameweek with lack of other good defense options. It is to be noted that Liverpool are not a defensive powerhouse but have managed 2 cleansheets from the last 3 league games. Yes, they have conceded 5 goals against Madrid in midweek. But in GW25, Liverpool will be up against Palace and Wolves who are ranked 19th and 15th for Big Chances since the World Cup.

Even if the clean sheet goes, TAA is always capable of getting attacking returns and bonus points. Since GW17, Trent is ranked 2nd among defenders for Chances created and Big Chances created– Only behind Trippier.

Matchup alert-

Wolves and Palace are ranked 17th and 19th for Crosses Conceded down their Left flank since GW17. We all know how destructive TAA could be if given the space to deliver the crosses.

Teams sorted by Crosses Conceded from their Left Flank(Trent side) since GW17

Zinchenko is the next pick. Arsenal don’t have a cleansheet from the last 5 games but this Double Gameweek fixtures vs Leicester and Everton could be the perfect way to get their defense back in form. Zinchenko is also not shying away from taking a shot. Among defenders, Zinchenko is ranked 2nd for Shots(13) since the World Cup break.

Tarkowski is the final defender pick for GW25. Since Dyche took over, Tarkowski is ranked Top among Everton players for Shots(5), Penalty Area Touches(9), and xGI-1.11. He is still owned by just 8% managers. We have discussed about him in detail in our FPL GW25 Differentials article.

FPL GW25 Scout Picks Midfielders

Mo Salah is the Top Pick among Midfielders and should on Top of your list for “Players to Target for FPL GW25”. Salah is slowly getting back to his usual self with 2 goals, 2 assists from the last 3 games in all competitions including a goal and assist vs Real Madrid. On top of it, Liverpool have good fixtures for DGW25-Palace, Wolves. He is the most nailed Liverpool attacker and also on penalties.

Key Stat- Salah’s GW25 opponents Palace and Wolves are ranked 17th and 16th for Minutes/xGC in the league since the World Cup break.

Bukayo Saka is in excellent form having returned in 7 out of the last 9 games fetching 5 goals, 2 assists in the process. Double Gameweek in GW25, Confirmed Fixture in GW28 Blank Gameweek(where 10 teams are likely to blank) makes him an excellent captain option in both GW25 and GW28. The GW25 double is a also a perfect game for Saka against Leicester and Everton. He is a safe captain option and takes up the armband in FPL GW25 Scout Picks.

Key Stat- One of Saka’s GW25 opponents, Leicester have 0 clean sheets from the last 8 games conceding 16 goals in the process which is the highest in the league. Their underlying numbers are also poor as they are ranked 20th for Expected Goals Conceded also during the same period.

Sarabia is the Ultra-Differential Pick at just 0.2% TSB. He has good underlying numbers and unlucky not to return. Since Sarabia joined the league, Sarabia has an xGI/90 of 0.37 which is better than the likes of Watkins, Mitoma, Kulusevski, Mudryk, Son, Almiron, Mcneill, Buendia during the same period(GW21- GW24). Read more about him in our FPL GW25 Differentials article.

Iwobi is the budget pick in the Scout Picks and makes the team only due to the Double Gameweek in GW25 and his assured minutes.

FPL GW25 Scout Picks Forwards

Haaland was unfortunate to not return against Forest in GW24 after registering an xG of 0.78 which included two big chances. He’s once again back in the scout picks as we fully expect him to return to goal-scoring ways against Bournemouth in GW25 but this time he’ll not be the scout picks captain tho as he’s playing only once in FPL GW25.

Nketiah is another player who was unlucky not to return against Aston Villa having posted a whopping 1.37 xGI. He’s been a frustrating pick for owners. With Jesus not still back, his minutes is still assured and Nketiah should catch up the variance and reward his owners with a haul in FPL GW25 against Leicester, Everton.

Darwin Nunez always had good underlying numbers but did not translate to FPL points. But he seems to be slowly getting into it with 3 attacking returns(2 goals, 1 assist) from the last 3 games in all competitions. The goal against Real Madrid gave us glimpses that he is slowly getting his confidence back and could haul in GW25.

Darwin’s Attack Rank in League since the World Cup break:

  • Expected Goal Involvement– 1st
  • Non-Penalty xG– 1st
  • Big chances– 2nd
  • Shots inside the box– 1st
  • Penalty Box Touches– 2nd
