World Cup Fantasy MD1 Draft 1
- The Mbappe – Messi and Neymar draft, the trio speak for themselves with Neymar arguably in the best form out of the three with 11 goals and 9 assists in 13 games for PSG in Ligue one this season. In the last four games for Brazil, he has scored 4 goals and made two assists. This is arguably the best Argentina team since the 2010 WC final with Messi as their talisman they go into the tournament as one of the favorites, they also have an easier group compared to Brazil and have their first game against Saudi Arabia which could be a goal fest. Mbappe has scored 11 goals in 13 Ligue one games and seven goals in six UCL games, his last UCL goal against Juventus was a thing of beauty indicating he’s in good goal-scoring form.
- Jude Bellingham is an interesting pick in this draft, the England teenage sensation offers potential for goals and assists along with points from tackles and key passes. 3 tackles each and 2 key passes each earn one point each in this edition of world cup fantasy. He got an assist in the last game for England against Germany in a 3-3 draw.
- Joakim Mæhle is a Euro fantasy football legend and he seems to have kept scoring for fun playing for Denmark. In 9 world cup qualifiers, he scored five goals. Overall in his Danish career, he has registered 9 goals and six assists in 31 games. A brilliant option at just 4.5 Million. Rasmus Kristensen is another option from the Danish defence at 4.0 Million cheaper but the extra 0.5 is worth it on Mæhle.
- Ben Chilwell being ruled out means Luke Shaw is the nailed LB option for Southgate. He had a great Euros for England and seems to be in brilliant form for Man United going into the tournament. Trippier an excellent alternative to Shaw from the England defence.
- Cash, Dumfries, and Sosa finish the defensive line and all three are fullbacks with a good chance of attacking returns, especially goals. Goal-scoring defenders are a bonus as a goal from a defender earns you 7 points.
- Sosa has registered a whopping 8 assists in 13 games for Stuttgart this season. An Alternative to Sosa from the Croatia defence could be Josko Gvardiol who is 4.0 Million but he offers little attacking threat compared to Sosa.
- Eriksen, Bergwin, Trossard, and Kostic make up the remaining midfield. Eriksen operates in a more advanced role for Denmark and offers points from goals, assists, tackles, and key passes.
- Unai Simon and Diogo Costa make up the defence from Spain and Portugal. There’s a -1 point deduction for every goal conceded after the first goal so having goalkeepers from leaky defences is not a wise thing to do.
- Pros of the above WC Fantasy MD1 draft: Three premium forwards, attacking defenders, and good goalkeepers.
- Cons of the above WC Fantasy MD1 draft: Not a lot of premium midfielders in the draft

World Cup Fantasy MD1 Draft 2
- A lot more similar draft to the above one except for the fact you’ll find four premiums in KDB, Mbappe, Messi, and Neymar.
- Unai Simon becomes Armani(Argentina keeper), Martinez is currently not in the game at the time of writing so swap Armani to Martinez if you’re using this draft.
- Casemiro and Khazri are budget options to make up for the heavy spending on four premiums. Casemiro guarantees decent points through tackles. Khazri is expected to start for Tunisia and is a decent option for his price of 4.5 million.
- Pros of the above world cup fantasy MD1 Draft: Four premium options who could haul big.
- Cons of the above world cup fantasy MD1 Draft: Midfield slightly weak except for KDB

World Cup Fantasy MD1 Draft 3
- Skov Olsen is an underrated gem playing for Denmark, he was the joint highest-scoring player for Denmark with 5 goals along with Mæhle, who is also on this draft. Overall he has already got 8 goals and 6 assists in 22 games for Denmark.
- Pervis Estupinan at 4.5 Million is an excellent option to consider from the first match of the tournament. Ecuador’s defence is very good and the Brighton full-back is also very attacking offering goals/assists potential.
- Bayern and Germany star Sane is a nailed option to consider from the Germany attack. Sane has been in great form for both club and country, this season he has 9 goals and 5 assists in 16 games across Bundesliga and UCL. At 9 Million he is a great premium midfielder to consider.
- England star boy is in great form for Arsenal and should be a starter for England. This season for Arsenal he has registered 4 goals and 6 assists from 13 games which indicates he’s in great form. Saka also offers points through key passes as 2 key passes earn you a point.
- Paqueta plays in an attacking role for Brazil and has scored 7 times in 35 games for Brazil. Considering a lot of teams would own Neymar, Paqueta could offer you points as a differential.
- Martinez is in ahead of Messi at just 8 Million, he’s a prolific goal scorer for the Argentina national team having scored 21 goals in 40 games for Argentina which include 7 assists as well.
- The goal-keeping combination is made of Jasper Cillessen from the Netherlands defence and Sergio Rochet from the Uruguay defence.
- Pros of the draft: A well-balanced draft with equal premiums in all positions
- Cons of the draft: No Messi with Martinez a cover for his place in attack.

World Cup Fantasy MD1 Draft 4
- Most of the players in this draft have been covered above except for Di Maria, Kane, and Musiala. Di Mari along with Messi is an excellent double-up against Saudi Arabia on matchday 1 as there could be a lot of goals in that game.
- England forward Kane is a prolific goal-scorer and has a kinder group this time which could mean he has goal-scoring potential in all three games of the group stage.
- Serbian forward Mitrovic has been banging in goals for both Serbia and Fulham. Even though he plays Brazil he could be a good punt as Serbia are an equally good side. After Brazil, the fixtures are kinder for him and Serbia.
- Musiala is another good option to consider in your drafts if you want a German attacker other than Sane. He’s mostly nailed and also costs only 8 Million.
- Pros of the draft: Double Argentina attack, Kane alongside Mitrovic could be two low-owned options who could do good
- Cons of the draft: No Brazil assets.
