FPL GW14 Review- Key Notes

FPL GW14 Review ~ Almiron continues to be amongst the goals
  • Newcastle are having tremendous form so far this season, which is extended by having scored 4 goals against Villa this week. They had the highest team xG of 3.44 which is also the highest for the last three weeks.
  • Wilson and Almiron were the standout performers of the team. Wilson accumulated the highest xG of 1.89 among all teams. Overall, he had an outstanding game. Despite missing a one-on-one, Almiron also looked very sharp and continues to perform well.
FPL GW14 Review ~ Trossard continues his goal scoring run
  • Brighton looked very good in the attacks. They had the 2nd highest team xG of 2.44 this week. Welbeck’s illness seemed to be a blessing in disguise where Trossard played up front and had an amazing game. He could have two goals. His fixtures look good, on the watchlist for sure.
  • Man City relatively had a quiet game without Haaland. As usual, KDB played brilliant football where he scored a beautiful free kick goal. He had the highest xA for his team this week. Leicester did not concede a single big chance which shows their defense is improving slowly.
  • Spurs made a terrific comeback against Bournemouth this week having the 3rd best team xG among all teams. A disappointing one for the Kane owners though. Bournemouth seem to have something special about keeping quiet the big names. (Salah blank in 9-0 and now Kane blank in 3-2). Son showed a good display and had the highest xA for his team.
Toney was shown a yellow in the stoppage time and now he’ll miss the game against Nottm Forest
  • Toney was shown a yellow in the stoppage time and now he’ll miss the game against Nottm Forest which is really a bummer for the owners. He also missed a big chance against Wolves.
  • Although Crystal Palace managed to keep the cleansheet against Southampton this week, it was a bit lucky for them to have happened that way. Adams missed a handful of good chances. Zaha had an awful game yet again and got a yellow. Edouard was the best player for Crystal Palace where he accumulated the highest xG for his team.
  • Leeds found a late winner against Liverpool at Anfield. The first goal for Rodrigo was a gift for him given by Liverpool defenders. Salah looked good (most xG 0.76 in his team)in the new diamond formation and scored a goal at last. Darwin went to some good positions but couldn’t find the net. Robertson had a good game and had the highest xA of 0.54 for his team.
FPL GW14 Review ~ Jesus most xA for his team
  • Arsenal demolished Nottm Forest by 5-0. Saka was looking superb before getting subbed out with an injury, unfortunately. Moreover, Martinelli and Jesus (most xA for his team) both had an impressive game. Nelson who came on for Saka scored two goals and accumulated the highest xG of 0.81 for his team. Arsenal’s defense looks solid.
  • Mitrovic tried hard but could not find a goal against Everton. He had 9 shots in the game. Andreas looked good and had the highest xA of 0.35 for his team. For Everton on the other hand, Gray created some good chances. He had the 2nd highest xA of 0.61 among all players. DCL is not looking like the old version of him yet.
FPL GW14 Review ~ Marcus Rashford Scored the only goal in the game and had the highest xG of 0.47 in the game
  • Rashford is looking sharper day by day and took his goal really well. Scored the only goal in the game and had the highest xG of 0.47 in the game. De Gea had an amazing game too. Bowen missed a big chance.
