FPL GW28 Wildcard Team & Drafts to Consider | Wildcard Guide

A lot of managers have already activated their Wildcard or planning to active theirs ahead of FPL GW28 and in this blog, we share different drafts with upcoming plan and strategy going forward. This should help you give you a birds-eye view of the different drafts that you can arrive at for your team.

Key pointers to keep in mind while wildcarding in FPL GW28:

• Eight teams surely double in FPL DGW28 ~ Aston Villa, Leeds United, Wolves, Newcastle, Watford, Norwich, Chelsea and Southampton
• Six team again double in FPL DGW29 ~ Brighton, Liverpool, Spurs, Newcastle, Arsenal, Everton.
• Newcastle the only side to double in both GW28 and GW29.
• Teams that have a double in GW28/GW29 and do not blank in GW30- Arsenal, Spurs, Aston Villa, Leeds United, Wolves.

Teams that Double in FPL GW28:

• Leeds United- Leicester(A), Villa(H)
• Aston Villa- Southampton(H), Leeds(A)
• Southampton- Villa(A), Newcastle(H)
• Chelsea- Burnley(A), Norwich(A)
• Norwich- Brentford(H), Chelsea(H)
• Newcastle United- Brighton(H), Southampton(A)
• Wolves- Palace(H), Watford(H)
• Watford- Arsenal(H), Wolves(A)

Teams that Double in FPL GW29:

• Brighton- Liverpool(H), Spurs(H)
• Spurs- United(A), Brighton(A)
• Arsenal- Leicester(H), Liverpool(H)
• Liverpool- Brighton(A), Arsenal(A)
• Everton- Wolves(H), Newcastle(H)
• Newcastle- Chelsea(A), Everton(A)

FPL BGW30 Fixtures

Everton vs Watford can be confirmed for GW30 if Everton lose to Boreham Wood in FA Cup 5th round.

Without further wait, let us look at the drafts for GW28 Wildcard and the planning ahead.

FPL GW28 Wildcard Draft

FPL GW28 Wildcard Draft one(Bench Boost GW29):

• 9 Double Gameweek players for GW28 with 3.4 million in the bank. Pukki/Adams good options if ASM is ruled out.
• Doherty/Dier and Son for Rudiger and Mount(-4) in GW29. Use Bench Boost with 10 Double Gameweek players and 5 Single Gameweek players with good fixtures. 1.5 million in the bank.
• 9 Confirmed players for Blank Gameweek 30 without making any transfers. Maddison/Arsenal midfielder should be the planned transfer for GW30.

FPL GW28 Wildcard Draft two(Bench Boost GW29):

• 8 Double Gameweek players, Kane, Salah, Trent for GW28
• Free transfer in GW29- Rudiger to Dier/Doherty and Bench Boost with 10 Double Gameweek players, 5 Single Gameweek players.
• Free transfer in Robertson to Coady in GW30 to have 11 players for Blank Gameweek 30. 3.3 million in the bank after this to plan your moves for the Doubles in GW33 and GW36. Chelsea defender, Cancelo, Leicester assets should be the targeted moves from GW31- GW33.

FPL GW28 Wildcard Draft three(No Bench Boost in GW29):

There are plenty of managers who don’t want to use the Bench Boost in GW29. They want to use it later in the season for GW33/GW36 or whenever it suits your squad the most. This is one such draft where Wildcard is used in GW28, but not using bench boost in GW29.

• 8 Double Gameweek players for GW28, Kane, Salah, Saka for GW28
• Silva to Dier/Doherty on Free transfer for GW29 makes it 7 Double Gameweek players for GW29.
• 10 confirmed players for GW30 without doing any transfers.

FPL GW28 Wildcard Draft Four(No Bench Boost in GW29):

A bit of a differential draft if you don’t want to use Bench Boost in GW29. This team will be well set up in the longer run(even from GW31) with a Leicester triple up. Leicester have 3 fixtures yet to rescheduled and you will have a great upside with this Wildcard draft.

• 6 Double Gameweek players for GW28
• 6 Double Gameweek players for GW29 without doing nay transfers.
• 9 confirmed players for GW30 with 2 free transfers in hand.

FPL GW28 Wildcard Draft Five(Bench Boost in GW29):

• 8 Double Gameweek Players, Salah, Kane, Son for GW28.
• Bench Boost- 10 Double Gameweek players, 5 Single Gameweek players without doing any transfers for GW29.
• 7 confirmed players for GW30 and 2 Free transfers. Arsenal mid for Willock, Aston Villa attacker should be the priority transfers for GW30

FPL GW28 Wildcard Draft Six(Bench Boost in GW29):

• 9 Double Gameweek Players, Salah, Kane for GW28.
• Bednarek to Dier as planned transfer for GW29 which makes it 8 Double Gameweek players, 7 Single Gameweek players with bench boost.
• 8 confirmed players for Blank Gameweek 30 without doing any transfers.
