With a Goals filled Blank Gameweek 29 and a boring and long dragging 2 week international break out of the way, FPL returns this weekend for the 30th round of matches. In this article, I talk about the fixtures that can help you target certain fixtures that can maximize your points potential and help you get the lovely Green Arrows for FPL GW30.

Fixtures for FPL GW30:

As we can see this week there are a lot of great fixtures for managers to attack the game week with many top sides facing relegation-threatened teams.

Newcastle vs Spurs

Kane & Son 'Elevate' Tottenham's Playing Style- FPL GW30
Kane should be in for a big haul against defensively poor Newcastle

Harry Kane 11.6 (Top for goals and assists this season) is by far and away the most peoples captain in the trip to the Magpies with Newcastle who have been one of the worst defenses in the league this season.
Heung min Son 9.4 if fit could be a good option too but in recent games, Son has taken up a creative role in the Spurs team which has seen in his Goal threat being reduced. Gareth Bale I think is a no go due to the benching risk he posses.

Newcastle are one of the worst defenses in the league over the last 5 games with an xGC of 7.95 and Spurs on the other hand have an xG of 8.91 but have scored 13 goals from them which shows that they are clinical finishers. Another key factor is Newcastle will be without their DM Issaac Hayden which will prove a huge miss in the middle of the park for the Magpies.

Chelsea vs West Brom

This game is the one where most differential returns will come from according to most FPL experts. West Brom are the worst defensive side in the league this season(57 goals conceded- Highest). Since Thomas Tuchel took over in GW20, Timo Werner has recorded the highest xGI of 6.28 and could be a good option. Whereas Kai Havertz is a brilliant pick too due to him being played OOP as a 9 in Tuchels system and has recorded an xGI of 1.32 since GW24.

West Brom are the worst defense this season with a xGC of 54.60 over the whole season and 8.23 in the last 5 and are certainly a team we should be targetting for attacking returns.

Leeds vs Sheffield United

Raphinha and Bamford- FPL
FPL Favorite Duo

The popular duo of Bamphina are the standout options in this fixture with Sheffield United being the worst defense in terms of data in the whole season they are certainly a fixture worth targetting and even can be good captaincy options if feeling maverick.

Sheffield United are the second-worst defense in terms of underlying data for the whole season (xGC 50.23) whereas Leeds are in top 5 for attack with an xG of 46.45 over the course of the season. Whereas over the last 5 Gameweeks Sheffield United are the worst defense in the league with xGC of 15.71 which is 5 more than the next worst.

Manchester United vs Brighton

Bruno Fernandes FPL
Bruno Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes the highest point scorer of FPL is always a good option for points as he can get dodgy assists, dodgy pens, and also a maximum bonus in most games he is always a good option to have in our teams. Other than that I wouldn’t consider any United attacking options. Earlier this season in the reverse fixture he scored a good 12 pointer with a Goal and an assist.

Bruno Fernandes has an all season xGI 25.51. In his last 5 games, despite facing Chelsea and Man City the two best defenses in the league the numbers still look good with an xGI of 3.76. The key factor with Fernandes is he is consistent with his returns and that’s what makes him a good and safe captaincy pick.

Everton vs Crystal Palace

DCL and Richarlison FPL
DCL and Richarlison

Crystal Palace have conceded the most headed goal attempts (87) in the league this season. DCL is a beast in the air with 6 headed goals from 22 headed attempts this season and the stars seem to align perfectly for a DCL return this week.

Another good differential option could be his strike partner Richarlison with him now moving centrally and having a better goal threat who has an xGI of 3.36 over the last 5 games which is higher than his striker partner DCL who had a xGI of 2.42.

Leicester City vs Man City

Kelechi Iheanacho hat trick helps Leicester City rout Sheffield United 5-0 in Premier League | Football News – India TV
Ihenacho to continue his form against his old club?

Generally, I don’t like to target big games for points as they can generally be unpredictable in the way they shape out. But man in form, Kelechi Iheanacho is a good option with him scoring 7 goals in his last 4 games in all competitions.

Mahrez despite having a in and out role in the team seems to have nailed down the role having started 6 of the last 7 PL games and has the highest points among City players with 54 over the last 5 games. Mahrez also against his former club in his 4 Games he has played has 4G/A in them.
